The way Israel's leaders are reacting to the fuel-loading of the Busheir plant has made it even worse for the Israeli's.Israel is being more exposed of dirty history of its own occupation of lands belonging to others and more people in the world are wondering what Israel thinks of itself as being a band leader in trying to stop Iranians in every convceivable way.

I'm assuming the reason there was no hard line on this plant from Israel or the US - read: military response - was that it's a non-issue from a containment / nonproliferation standpoint. The Iranian nuclear program appears from all appearances to be aiming to develop a weapon based on enriched uranium...not on plutonium. That's why this plant won't significantly speed up their development of a bomb. The byproduct of this plant will be plutonium. But it's not enough plutonium, in itself, to create a fissile weapon for quite awhile. And it doesn't help their uranium enrichment scheme, or get them any closer to developing a weapon on their main track. Israel is right not to take the bait here. Focus on the centrifuges; sabotage them or shut them down by force. Or, in a perfect world, scare Ahmedinejad personally into shutting them down himself.

For all the noise Israel is making about Iran's reactor, let's not forget that that in the 70's in blatant violation of a UN arms embargo, Israel developed nuclear weapons with South Africa, and even offered to sell the finished product.
