31. I feel sorry for them, like IDF behaviour at checkpoints
Abraham ,   England   (08.23.10)
32. the bottom line:
Yisra'el   (08.23.10)
better "humiliated" (big wink at ynets agenda) than blown up by terrorists - or did ynet forget about the millions of jihadis that are dying to do a pigua in the natbag (again)
33. I was humiliated by ministry of the interior
Israeli   (08.23.10)
I had to wait for an hour and they spoke to me rudely and didn't like the papers that I brought as proof. They treated me like a common criminal! A whole hour!!! and I have psoriases- they are so insensitive!!!
34. and here is why this happened
Danny   (08.23.10)
and yes apparently it does happen to Palestinians too... I mean this woman is a severe burns victim, it is obvious racism and insensitivity: http://www.mfa.gov.il/MFA/Terrorism-+Obstacle+to+Peace/Terrorism+and+Islamic+Fundamentalism-/Attack+by+female+suicide+bomber+thwarted+at+Erez+crossing+20-Jun-2005.htm Oh, wait a minute...
35. Airport Security
Michael Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (08.23.10)
As a person with two artificial hip joints, I can testify that the treatment at Ben-Gurion is typical of most airports in the world. Even equipped with a "Joint Recipient" card and a letter in three languages from the hospital that performed the surgeries, I have been singled out in over a dozen countries for "special treatment". These countries include Great Britain, France, Brazil, the US, Greece and Italy, as well as Israel. Everyone with one or more metal implants is subjected to the indignities of body searches, arrogant suspicion and sometimes even verbal abuse. Oddly enough, one of the more humane security checks was in Israel, the next best being Brazil. Heathrow was a nightmare and Gatwick was no better. The French weren't satisfied with seeing my surgical scars, they wanted to take X-rays. For all that, I still think the security checks are a monentary annoyance lasting a few minutes to an hour, tops--but a plane exploding while I'm on it would REALLY ruin my day. Remember, these security checks are for your safety.
36. Mixing up
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim,   (08.23.10)
B"H - Mixing up the victims with the aggressors is not helpful. Of course Ben Gurion security wants to see what sets off metal detectors. Why? Because our peace partners invented and perfected a guerilla war tactic against us called terrorism. These terrorists are know to have sent pregnant women looking bombs in ambulances with their sirens on to blow us up. If we let cancer patients through metal detectors, they’d send cancer patients looking bombs. So, the question is this: Do we have to defend ourselves, if we want to live? The answer is: Yes, we do! So, what's wrong with you people? I am sick and tired of articles like this, criticizing the security measures we need, mixing up the victims with the aggressors.. Are these security measures humiliating? For sure they are. Yet and nevertheless, we need them. It is not for fun that the Jews queue all over Israel to go through metal detectors and security checks every time we enter a supermarket, a bank, a public office or go to a cinema or to a restaurant. Is it too high a price to pay for political correctness? Than remove the Arab enemy threat from the streets of our Land of Israel: The Torah demands it, common sense demands it and electors demanded it again and again! Then and only then we will finally be able to dismantle our security infrastructure and sell our used metal detectors to America.
37. #35: G-d bless you , your brain and

your thinking. Thanks for your Talkback.
38. It is a real shame
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (08.23.10)
I remember when we could get on any planes without any searches or questions. Thanks to 'Palestinians' that doesn't happen anywhere in the world anymore. This is truly the only invention that the Arabs can claim as their own. One day this age will be known as the Age of Stupidity for putting up with this nonsense instead of taking out the source.
39. Marwan from Amman, blame your terrorist co-religionists
ak   (08.23.10)
I still remember when you could buy an airline ticket at the gate and there was no airport pre-flight security, except on El AL (they were being targeted even back then.) I few hijacked planes and a few on-board bombs later, we are all being x-rayed, scanned and have our lipsticks confiscated. I have been asked to take off my flip flops in Atlanta, where I have also seen old ladies and their wheelchairs thoroughly checked; I have had liquer purchased at the JFK duty free shop confiscated in Warsaw, before boarding a connecting flight, even though it was in the original sealed, see through wrapping the duty-free shop especially provided and accepted during boarding at JFK. Look, it is not pleasant to be checked, but it is even less pleasant to be blown to bits and pieces. This invasive security is for a reason -- to prevent terrorist attacks. Every time I am checked, scanned and patted down I remember exactly who is responsible for it -- well you and yours.
40. Ariel Ben Yochanan, well said.
AK   (08.23.10)
41. To #39 ak
Marwan ,   Amman, Jordan   (08.23.10)
those days when i was subjected to the nuisance of being frisked as a kid by israeli soldiers, were LONG BEFORE what you describe today as "terrorism"! and our crossing point was the Allenby Bridge, not an airport where someone could hijack a plane. the israelis just wanted to humiliate palestinians and to discourage them from visiting their motherland. i personally remember one time when i brought along a tape containing my favorite western pop music, causing my dad to be interrogated for hours by the israeli intelligence officer in charge! because back then the israelis simply decided that palestinians were not allowed to carry and tapes, papers plus a list of a million other things, in their way in!
42. Marwan #39 consider the facts
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (08.24.10)
First one is that Israel and Jordan were at a state of war because of Jordan's declaration in 1948 it is remarkable that you were ever allowed across the border. Second at the time you were a Jordanian citizen. In short Israel treated you better at the border than any Jew would have been treated by the Jordanians. Stop whining about the treatment that your friends and relatives caused.
43. #41, nonsense, your people were into terrorism for ever
ak   (08.24.10)
And you don't need a airplane to commit an act of terrorism -- you guys have been blowing or trying to blow up Israeli busses, colleges, markets, restaurants, pizza places, hospitals; you have been knifing people in the streets, smashing children's sculls with rocks, the list goes on and on. You're not a victim here, we are. Everytime I see security with dogs at the Penn Station, like today, I know exactly whom to blame -- the practitioners of the famed 'religion of peace' and the so called 'palestinians,' the inventers of modern terrorism, the one specifically directed at civilians. So, do us all a favor and stop crying --you'll get no sympathy from me.
44. For give us
David ,   USA   (08.24.10)
I'm so sorry that this happen to such a bright young group of people. Please, as I read the article my heart went out to each of you in love. No matter what you think you are the salt of the earth, and let God be the lamp to your feet in forgiveness. David
45. there is no reason
Jorge ,   Germany   (08.24.10)
there is no reason to get excited. eveytime i go trough security i got half an hour or longer of ilogical questions to answer about things that happened maybe 30 years ago (of course no idea anymore) and my lugagge be controlled twice for chemical weapons or bombs. palestinians need anyway to get used to the politcal situation, as any other foreigners need as well.
46. simple
shosh7154 ,   ha eretz   (08.26.10)
stop jihad and shahid and you will not be searched like a terrorist... simple
