In your city of Nazareth, Arabs pelted firemen who arrived to put out a fire (for the benefit of the whole community) with stones. Just last year, Gulf Arabs were trying to push capital into Israel to buy land for the Arab collective with the purpose of creating Arab-centric areas and eventually an autonomous region. Though I firmly disagree with your accusation of Israel on the deaths of those Lebanese kids - mostly because you fail to take into account the use of young civilians by terrorists, I was enamored by the Arab scholar comment. I believe if this approach was taken more you would see a less defensive posture by Israel and Jews overall. The Arab scholar criticized a State's actions but also respected it and upheld it as a worthy member of the global community. Today, the majority of attacks on Israel are anti-semetic, made to delegitimize Israel absolutely, revise history and facts, and ignore heinous actions of terrorists attacking Israel. The Arab scholar could also include the terrorist attacks on Israel but a balanced report exposing all sides is what Israel and the US has always demanded - not the one-sided poison emanating from the UN.

Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Kuwait, etc. are ALL artificial countries created by the British and the French. The case for Palestine is even more dire as there was NO history of an autonomous region called "Palestine" yet these same colonial forces are at work to create it for political goals. The caveat is - these countries were taken from tribal rulers and given to either one tribe or an outsider. There was no history of those borders nor of larger rule by the new leaders. In contrast, Israel was built on ancient land of which there IS proof of past ownership, past rule, past borders, and current ownership through work and purchase. The UN never voted on the creation of "Palestine" or other Arab countries, but they did on Israel, making the most legitimate entity in the region.
