1. You are a lier
David ,   USA/ISRAEL/EGYPT   (08.29.10)
your policies against Israel started long before the Marmara. the Marmara was a deliberate provocation. Stop asking for an apology you are the one who needs to do it
2. Erdogan is nervous over Israel\s new relationship
Aryeh ,   Bat Ayin   (08.29.10)
with Greece
3. Same lies. Same demands. Same need to reject Turk demands
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (08.29.10)
Turkey continues to lie... about the true nature of IHH, about Israel's reaction to Turkish provocation. Turkey continues to demand that Israel apologize and offer compensation. To that, I say "Nuts!" Israel owes Turkey nothing. And if Ben-Eliezer drafted an apology, he should be fired.
4. F Turkey
Js ,   Ny   (08.29.10)
They have shown their true colors. I hope Israel is not stupid to take this bait and run back to them. Who needs "friends" likes Turkey. I rather be stabbed from the front so I can see and do something about it, ala Iran, then be stabbed in the back, ala Turkey.
5. Turkey leader
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (08.29.10)
Go to your friends from Iran, Syria, Hizbullah, Hamas, and all the other Islamic thugs.
6. Erdogan Israel will be happy to host you when you appologize
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & New York   (08.29.10)
Mr. Erdogan when the various committees of inquiry return their report that Turkish elements were in the wrong, then Israel will be happy to welcome your apology for the mess that you have helped make over the past 2 years.
7. Turks sinking
M Carr ,   Baltimore   (08.29.10)
This article shows the predicament Erdogan has put his government into. He has made the calculation and has determined that the UN probe is unlikely to find in Turkey’s favor. If Turkey’s actions are found to be unjustified in this incident, it could mean political ruin for Erdogan. Erdogan appears to be trying to salvage something, anything from this sordid affair. Israel would be smart to distance itself from Turkey as long as their Islamist government holds power. Turkey has proven, beyond any doubt, that they cannot be trusted. Turkey’s behavior is very erratic. They call on Israel to calm the situation and lower the rhetoric. What! If my memory serves me correctly all of the red-hot rhetoric and unsubstantiated accusations flowed from the Turks! This situation is not looking very good for the Turks. Erdogan has lead his country over a cliff; they just haven’t hit bottom yet
8. The only way to avoid escalation
Israeli 2   (08.29.10)
is for Turkey to apologize and beg Israel to forgive her for that uncanny flotilla affair. Just be honest Erdogan and be a MAN. When you are WRONG and have been defeated to boot, get on your knees and ask for forgiveness. Leftists are traitors even Israeli ones.
9. A good solution for Marmara crisis: Turkey, APOLOGIZE!
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (08.29.10)
Then stop the racist slurs in the Turkish media, and the provocations. Then cut the ties with Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas and Syria. Then we wait for a few years to see if all this was not a trick, designed to allow Turkey to buy military services, products and technology from Israel. Then, maybe, we shall "forget" these last two years of Turkish deliberate attacks, demonization and provocations.
10. For all of you who say turkey should opologize
Omri ,   Israel   (08.29.10)
Countries just dont do that its like an unwriten law. It seems latly turkey had backed away from Iran (Iranians recognizing the Armenian genocide, Turkey wanting to buy radar, turkey telling USA she will not cut ties with Israel and now this). Turkey seems to know where she was going and turned back that's all for now, bad news for Iran.
11. Nothing 2 do American Congress veto ?
Alberto Cohen ,   Rio de Janeiro   (08.29.10)
American congress is giving Turks a hard time on arm sales and in the approval of the President appointment for d new Turkey ambassador. As we all see, pressure is working well !!!! KEEP IT TIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!
12. Turkey
hebrew prophet ,   israel   (08.29.10)
Where to now for the stupid Turks who in typical Arab/Muslim fashion have messed up their former good ties with Israel ,as there,s no going back as far as Israel is concerned ?
13. Too little, too late
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.29.10)
The incident with the MARMARA was not the precipitating factor in the deterioration of the relationship between Israel and Turkey. Credit for that goes to Cast Lead, when Turkey decided that Israel did not have the right to defend itself against missile attack from Gaza, and their new good buddies the Iranians got them to make a stink about it. But it goes beyond that. Those despicable television programs. The confusing and contradictory statements about the welcome that Israeli tourists will not receive in Turkey. The constant verbal sniping at Israel out of Ankara when Israel has remained largely silent. And, finally, the fact that Turkey actively supports IHH, which has strong ties to Al Qaeda. It is Turkey that owes Israel an apology. But you know what? I don't care. Turkey is no longer a valued ally, and it is certainly no longer a trustworthy ally. Israel should kick 'em to the curb. Better to have an enemy than a friend who will betray you and whom you cannot trust.
14. Turkie wants more military secrets
Seppo ,   Finland   (08.29.10)
and Barak is ready to give them whatever they ask for as an appeasement. Better to be careful.

(08.29.10)
17. Turkey - Israel
edy burak ,   miami , fl   (08.29.10)
the turkish government bertrayed Israel the turks follow their erdogan paths Erdogan should apologize Israel , then forget Iran , Hamas , Hezbollah Erdogan (the Turkish canavar) must to talk loud now to Israel in a civilized manner
18. Turkey's take on reality
Ehoop ,   UK   (08.29.10)
"The Turkish government was in contact with the flotilla organizers, who promised they would not sail to Gaza, but dock in Ashdod or al-Arish instead", they claim. Of course. The very words the IHH and Hamas had in mind.
19. Ofcourse Turkey and Israel can again be friends
olim hadashim ,   tel aviv/israel   (08.29.10)
If today Germany , Poland etc. are counted among Israel"s friends there is no reason why Turkey shall not be a friend of Israel again.
20. :: It is only a matter of time before...
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (08.29.10)
...Israel issues an apology and compensates the families of the nine civilians that were needlessly killed. I’d wager this will happen before the end of 2010.
21. more like we are waiting for Israelis radar systems
zionist forever   (08.29.10)
The knowledge of which will later be shared with Iran and Syria. Turkey has been the big looser from this. They have lost millions of dollars through a lack of Israeli tourists. They are no longer being solde advanced Israeli weapons. They want the Markava based Namer APC They want radar They want UAVS They want lots of Israeli toys but thanks to their hostility they are not getting it and even if relations do improve they won't be getting their hands on any of these new toys. Either Erdogan climbs down off his high horse or relations will never get better.
22. Not so fast
Gene   (08.29.10)
Bibi could be welcome in Ankara but Erdogan is not welcome in Jerusalem. Didn't earn yet.

24.  only for Turkey can be to make real peace
sam ,   colorado   (08.29.10)
USA urges to Turkey to ease the pressure on Israel, because Israel's reputation has became mired in the world view, and the first time unmasked of lies and deception for Israel, which lasted for more than 60 years, only for Turkey can be to make real peace with all the Arab parts and Israel
25. So friendly after he got orders from obumma.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (08.29.10)
26. First Israel must hand over Soldier killed Turks in Marmara
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (08.29.10)
First Israel must hand over Soldier killed Turks in Marmara to Turkey in order to be tried before a Just Judge and then be executed by stoning by public! As for my Imposter 9 who writing nonsense using my talkback name; Israel will not only apologize but also accept criminal investigation of those killers who killed innocent peace activisits in Marmara It seems they kicks you off from Italy and rest of the holiday resorts, but Antalya is not crying in your absensce
27. The BBC blamed Turkey for the flotilla incident
michael redbourn ,   Arad - Israel   (08.29.10)
and the UN inquiry will blame Turkey too. Turkey wants to buy weapons from Israel so it's now seeking rapprochement.
28. The Armenian, Kurdish, Greek and Jewish peoples are....
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (08.29.10)
...waiting for the Turks to apologize and compensate their victims: 1) Armenians, for a genocide of 1.5 million people 2) Kurds, for the mass murder of hundreds of thousands within and without Turkey 3) Cypriot Greeks, for the invasion of their country, the occupation of one third of it and for the expelling of the entire Greek population from the northern part of the island 4) The Jewish people, for the expelling the Struma into the high seas with Jewish refugees from Nazi Europe, where nearly 700 found their death. And for the "peace flotilla", loaded with paid Islamist Turkish thugs who came to break the lawful blockade of Hamastan and in the process cause major injuries to Israel's boys guarding its borders.
