Omri ,   Israel   (08.29.10)
Most of the people under ottoman occupation had worst then the Jews. Historically other then that ship Turkey had a good history with Jews even in ww2. Hell turks even have a bad history with the Arabs while the General of the turks fighting the Brits in ww1 was a Jew. This problem isn't with Turkey-Israel its with Erdogan-Israel.
32. Is this going to be a Charm Offensive Obama's style:

Brazen   (08.29.10)
goodwill jesture, ergodan has LOST face, his first move would be to request a vist to Israel and request a sit down with Bibi on his terms. Discuss how turkey can reconcile it's diiferances with with the Hebrew Nation. History is in the past incitement and provcation is easy to fall back too, however forging a new path starts with Trust and it your call to see the truth amongest All the deception and LIES you all know what I am refering too Until then and ONLY then would someone take turkey 's word with a shred truth and honor!!!
34. Erdogan caught with his pants down
Yallah Yallah ,   Eurabia   (08.29.10)
F Turkey. They proved themselvesonworldstage what backstabbers they truly are for attacking Israeli border guards The Turk leader needs to bow down and apologise while praying to Allah for forgiveness. Israel has done no wrong by defending herself successfully
35. Agree 100% with Omri #31
Barry ,   Sao Paulo   (08.29.10)
The problem is with the emotionally unstable Erdogan, not the Turkish people (except for mentally retarded Tayfun who endorses public stoning of the IDF soldiers who only defended themselves). Erdogan is dangerous for Turkey - he will have to go soon.

I would not accept your wage - I don't think you have any money left from all the wages you have been losing. Addiction to gambling on lost causes is a good reason to seek professional help.::))
37. Mark (no. 29)
farfurfan ,   farfurstan   (08.29.10)
Still living in the 16th century, are we? "Turkey Jews best protectors...", indeed. Should we be forever grateful, despite all the seething deliberate hostility emanating from the AKP government in the last two years and its alliance with Israel's sworn enemies? I would suggest that you get caught up on history, my friend. A little more attention to grammar and spelling wouldn't hurt, either.
38. This is no conciliatory gesture
Serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (08.29.10)
Turkey initiated this Marmara incident. Turkey last years made a lot of hostile gestures towards Israel. Turkey insists on apology and compensations. Israel should do none of that. It is Turkey who needs to find a solution to this. I hope Netanyahu will be strong and reject a visit to Turkey.
39. Erdogan gets down the tree he climbed to
Eran ,   Singapore   (08.29.10)
It is too late. Israel should keep Turkey in distance till the pseudo islamo fascist tendency APK government will be sent home or to IRAN by ENLIGHTENED Turkey. We warned Erdogan, do not mess with Israel or you will be hurt. Israel is not Amenia or Greece or Kurdistan. Israel should not sell any weapons to Turkey anymore.
40. TAYFUN, YOU DONT GET IT
Zarubavel ,   Poland   (08.29.10)
You still keep ruminating the same rhetoric and not recognizing the current facts.People like you are a disgrace to the Turkish republic. Turkey will suffer more damages in the western world as long as Erdogan will be in power. Now YOU are alone. Israel should not go back to the initial relations with Turkey until a governmant listening to reason is elected there.
41. Tayfun- heh heh heh!
Igor ,   Poland   (08.29.10)
Long live modern Turkey
42. Erdogan is a nery good looking man
Yaakov Sullivan ,   NYC   (08.29.10)
I like the way he talks. He has a lot of charisma
43. Erdogan must GO
Monastras ,   Istanbul   (08.29.10)
but Israel must find a solution to this flotilla incident. People were killed unnecessarily. Jews and turks must have good relationship.
44. #26 Israeli soldier lucky to be alive
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.29.10)
He's probably still in the hospital recovering from multiple stab wounds from bloodthirsty IHH jihadis. Your imposter at least made sense. Israel owes no apology to Turkey. No Israeli ship sailed to Turkey to terrorize Turkey. Seems Erdogan just had sand thrown in his face by Iran and perhaps the US has threatened to cut off aid to Turkey. Is the honeymoon with Iran over? If so, why do we still see smiling Turkish leaders in photoshoots with Israel's enemies?
45. Turkey
Rosie   (08.29.10)
Ben Eliezer, go home already!
46. Monastras yes people were killed unnecessarily
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (08.30.10)
As Ugur Dundar also said aid that he has been gathering for Gaza always delivered with no problems through red Crescent. IHH and the Erdogan government were not there to eat the grape but they wanted to t beat the vinyard and they themselves were beaten instead. this AKP government that has reduced Turkish prestige to an all time low in the west must go as soon as possible so that Israel and Turkey can restore their relationship.
47. #t 13 to sarh B
sam ,   colorado   (08.30.10)
I think you are wrong because there thing name is (Art of politics) you do not understand , the interest of Israel's Supreme that restore relations with Turkey I hope that you think carefully about your mind and do not runing behind any follies, I missed to your talkback
48. To: Cynthia at No. 44
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.30.10)
Excellent, excellent post. Especially the part about Erdogan having had sand thrown in his face by Iran. Look at the corner into which Erdogan has painted Turkey. The offer of membership in the EU is off the table. Turkey will in all likelihood be asked to leave NATO. The United States Congress will apply pressure to those countries wishing to sell weapons systems to Turkey (chiefly China, although how good can those weapons systems be if China is so desperate to close a multi-billion dollar arms deal with Israel?). Turkey is high and dry. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of ingrates and mealy-mouthed terrorist supporters. There will be no rapprochement with Israel. Israel just isn't interested, thank you very much.
49. Please Erdogan, I am single now and dream about you
Yaakov Sullivan ,   NYC   (08.30.10)
Forget Israel, with Atilla we can have a handsome trisome. If we add Tayfun in the mix this could be the best party ever.
50. A Turk's point of view
Cenk Levent ,   NYC,USA   (08.30.10)
I'm a born secular Turk and I am telling you all that there were mistakes made from both sides. And there are millions of Turks that will open arms to Jews AGAIN if there was any need. But please understand governments will come and go but our friendship will last.
51. #39 Could not say it better
