The Palestinians want one state to be a Palestinian state, only for Arabs. The Second state they (the Palestinians) want defined as a Bi-National state, this, leaving the door open for a flood of Arab refugees. The hope is all the Arab refugees would return to Israel, then using Israel's democracy (one man, one vote) to demographically take control of Israel. I believe the Arabs have a higher birth rate. So if all the people who identify themselves as Arab refugees return. In ten or twenty years, with the higher birth rate, the Arabs would make up the majority in Israel. Then using Israel's democracy take over the government, and turn it into an Islamic state. So the "two state's for two people's" is important. In addition there will be no "right of return" for Arabs living outside of Israel. They will return to their Arab state of Palestine. Really that is as it should be. There really is no right of return anyway. It seems silly that an Arab who lived in one part of Israel moving to another part of Israel (that becomes the new Palestine) be considered a refugee anyway. There will have to be some kind of trade-off with the Jewish people who became refugees, and the Arabs who became refugees. The numbers were about the same, except that Israel took in all the Jewish refugees from all the Arab countries. While the Arab countries abandoned or denied true absorption (i.e. denying citizenship, property ownership, voting rights etc.) for the Arab refugees from Israeli/ Arab wars. Who's fault was that? Certainly not Israel's.
