Arab must feel good about this second rank consideration!!! Not very smart Clinton!!!

leonard ,   LA-usa   (09.27.10)
3. Has anyone noticed that Abbas' term expired 18 months ago..?
Ozraeli ,   Australia   (09.27.10)
Just a continuation of Western fantasies & self delusions... The "President" of the PA's term expired in January 2009, & there have been no signs or intentions of having "democratic" (or any) elections in that enclave of violent kleptomaniac thugs, ganglords, & "peace loving" terrorists. And they are supposed to establish a modern, democratic state? "Please, Mr Mazen, PLEASE take another $50 million, just so we can keep building castles in the sky (no building freeze there!), & so we can keep pretending to those poor fools that elect us, & still believe that we are doing something for them..." Yet, the West (& Israel) continue to fete Abbas' as a "moderate" & "partner" someone who, even while in office, couldn't control people spitting on the sidewalk outside his office. "...Oooh, a photo op with such a "distinguished gentleman..."; "Oooh, he has such a cute moustache, & he wears such faaabulous Armani suits....". Do any taxpayers actually know where all their money is going, while this guy swans around the world on their hard earned tax money? Does any "NEWS" organisation care what the truth is about his status & "Position In Title Alone" (PITA)? Assuming that there was some "agreement" (now he wants more prisoners released-talk about a bold conman!), who exactly would implement it, under whose "leadership", in what capacity? This farce is like watching schizophrenic Punch & Judy sock puppets shadow boxing in the mirror! This guy makes Madoff & Milliken look like amateurs. Maybe he should run for office...
4. the PLO Fatah is no better than Hamas RIGHT ???
M. . ,   mpls america   (09.27.10)
I realize thanks to American delusions of peace grandeur people believe the PLO Fatah is any more peaceful toward Israel than Hamas but then they are seperate entitys thus seperate relations is needed with them they may not be considered to be one 1 entity either way there is no hope for a better deal America unfairly expects from Israel too much Israel is a small country with little to offer America is the bully I do not like America bullying either the Arabs or the Jews some day America may pay dearly for it that is the peace America may get Arabs Jews will stop fighting each other join togather against America watch out America your days as a super power are numbered I will bring you down from the exalted highness you think you have now you have gone to far I will destroy America for this attack against us both Arabs Jews you may get caught in your own spiders trap I am the Arab J*wish David America the Western peace mongering Goliath watch out America you are doomed unless you stop now RIGHT ??? no more peace talks RIGHT ??? Thank You... M. S.
5. What is the point
Jackie ,   Florida   (09.27.10)
Were Abbbas to allow an election to be held, he would no longer be presidebt of the PA. So there is no point in getting support from other Arab nations, when he does not have the support of the people who he supposedly negotiates for.
6. @#3&5: spot on. Clinton has opened Pandora's box
Bat Zion ,   Centre, Israel   (09.27.10)
Oh, wait a minute: they're all Arabs, right? This *IS* their perception of democracy then... they see nothing wrong with it: only you and I do
7. 2: neither can I
Bill ,   Hope, Arkansas   (09.27.10)
8. Israel is at peace with syria except for destroying nuke
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (09.27.10)
plants. Israel will never give back it's Golan. Why do syrians work for a couple dollars a day when baby assad is so smart? He should fix his own land first.
9. comprehensive peace
hebrew prophet ,   israel   (09.27.10)
If the Arabs/Plestinians don,t want comprehensive peace in the region by recognising Israel as a Jewish state ,then let them deal with the Shiite problem by themselves ,with no American/Coalition partners to aid them when the Shiite puppet makes an attack against one of the Sunni gulf states,Saddam Hussein tried his stupid antics and got burnt big time ,but with non-Arab aid ,so let see how willing they are (Palestinians)to continue their intransigence whilst the Shiite grow ever powerful ?
