This is bullshit. Force begets force, if they had not violated Israel's space.......... Does nobody in the UN have ANY common sense?
2. Liars! Marmara Carried NO Aid! It was a Jihadi Ship!
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (09.29.10)
Gazans have reported that most of the so-called aid was completely worthless. The whole idea of the jihad flotilla was to wage religious war against hated infidel Israel. Gaza has a long border with Egypt. It is the responsibility of their Muslim brothers in Egypt and the 22 HUGE, Oil WEALTHY Arab Muslim countries to take care of Gaza. NOT rocket attacked victim Israel.
3. Gee, what a surprise !!
flyingdoc57 ,   Florida, U.S.A.   (09.29.10)
UNHRC is a bad joke. Everyone knows it. No one takes it seriously (except, of course, for the Arab/Muslim world and the fraudulent idiots who support it - e.g. Matty Groves, etc.). Chalk up yet another meaningless resolution. NEXT!!!
4. EVIL UN Pollutes our Beautiful New York City
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (09.29.10)
Taxpayers are forced to finance the Anti Human Rights, rabid Jew-haters UN. The utterly wicked UN is vehemently opposed to Jewish self-defense. Dominated by Islam and the left, all non-Muslims are in danger of losing their human rights via the UN.
5. Violated Israel's Space??
Gregory ,   Montreal, Canada   (09.29.10)
Stop this bullshit!
6. Humanitarian Crisis?
Paolo O. ,   Ramat Gan, IL   (09.29.10)
In which place with "humanitarian crisis" the people rate of obesity is about 80%? In which place with "humanitarian crisis" a new shopping mall has been ever open? Only in Gaza. Humanitaria crisis? Yeah... sure. UNCHR is a clownass comedy.
7. That was predicted before Israel agreed to an investigation
zionist forever   (09.29.10)
The very reason Israel did not want to cooperate with the UN and let them launch an investigation is because we all knew in advance the result would be Israel is guilty as charged. If the soldiers had boarded the ship, brought flowers and sang koombaya with the passengers the UN would investigate and still find something to condemn Israel for. Maybe the wind would have blown the flowers at passengers and seriously injured them. Its not even worth taking any interest in the UN report
8. The West should stop funding the U.N.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.29.10)
Although the U.N. reliably represents the views of the world's terrorists and tyrants, it is funded almost entirely by the Western World. That is a crime. So much good could be accomplished with the billions of Western taxpayer dollars which are misused to fund the U.N. annually. For instance, free enterprise could be supported in the Third World, farms could be developed etc. The West should stop funding the destructive, worthless U.N. American Replublicans have much to gain by making U.N. funding an election issue. The U.N. is widely despised in America.
9. Found on Dr. Barry Rubin's blogsite:
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (09.29.10)
Turkish journalist, Sefik Dinc, who was onboard the Mamara, has just published a book (in Turkish) accompanied by journalistic notes and photographs, revealing details of the plans by Turkish passengers to physically attack IDF members. He has, as well, detailed the violent actions on the part of this segment of the Mamara's population. Thought that his would be revealing to Readersalthough propaganda hounds like "Matty Groves" will avoid this post as it doesn't suit his hate Israel bias.
10. SO WHAT DID YOU EXPECT FROM ANY UN DECISION...
stude ham   (09.29.10)
oh israel you are so wonderful??? keep dreaming you fools. ps... the unhrc is one big joke... just look at the hoomin wrytes lovin kuntrees that populate its stools.
11. Gaza needs Aid ???
Galut ,   Selah   (09.29.10)
Do a google search on the ?Gaza Mall" ? then come back and tell about the need... it appears there were some well stocked shelves and a free flow of customers.
12. but its declared aim was to beak siege, to isolate Israel
observer   (09.29.10)
to achieve those objectives flotilla didn't have to carry humanitarian aid. They didn't have to satisfy the besieging party.
13. #11 you are right
observer   (09.29.10)
even they have started to export to Egypt through smuggling tunnels, but that has been only AFTER the flotilla incident.
14. United Ninnies
Brad ,   USA   (09.29.10)
You know what, Israel? Maybe you should leave Iran alone and set your sights on the UN instead. After all, the UN has been dogging you for a lot longer than Iran has. Maybe you should treat the UN like Saudi Arabia treated the twin towers. You would be doing everyone a big favor, since the US gov't. is to panty waste to do it.
15. UNHRC not ethical and pseudo democratic
Dr.Ludwig ,   Belgium   (09.29.10)
In the perspective of the Western civilization, these decisions are most probably illegal. 1. This council consists out of 47 countries: 13 African, 13 Asian, 6 Eastern European, 8 Latin American, 7 Western European and other countries. This council has an islamic african domination. Some of these countries belong to the "Who is Who" of human rights violating dictatorships. It is a paradox, when known dictatorships are part in a democratic committee. 2. Many of these countries have no diplomatic relations towards Israel...In the Western civilization, these countries could not take part in any decisions due to recuse. Even if these kind of decisions are legal in terms of the UN, they are surely not ethic.
16. hitler would be so in awe of the UN in 2010!
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (09.29.10)
hey - i'm poet. The UN is the biggest problem standing in the way of any middle east peace. They blame the Jews for islam simply being a murderous death cult. That seeks the murder of all Jews, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, everybody non-muslim in the world. What the hell are we doing today with organisations like the UN protecting and sponsoring these monsters???!! F***ed up is not the term, here.
17. UN
Moragh   (09.29.10)
I think the UN should stay...... I would miss the laughs I get about them. To me, the members are just great for laughs..... and I "worship" Ban Ki Moon! Why send them packing, I'd have nothing to laugh about anymore?
18. # 11 Gaza needs aid
Moragh   (09.29.10)
..... and I loved the look of all the bonbons!
19. drag idf to court

soon there will be world wide arrest warrants; better stay home
20. This isn't news, it's satire.
emmess ,   Niagara, Canada   (09.30.10)
21. So UNHRC is judge, jury AND executioner??
William ,   Israel   (09.30.10)
How is this anything less than an absolute travesty of justice?? It makes the report sound like an meaningless exercise with the sole purpose of giving these morons something to do and get paid for it.
22. #13 - so further flotillas are not necessary, right?
William ,   Israel   (09.30.10)
Didn't you write here yesterday that until the blockade is lifted, all future flotillas are perfectly justified in helping the poor condition of the Gazans? Now today you admit that there is no humanitarian issue in Gaza (a conclusion even liberal media came to months ago). Kind of like Hamas finally admitting that Arafat was behind the funding and planning of terror attacks, which we all knew already but only your ilk refused to believe it.
23. #12 - in that case, this is a military operation
William ,   Israel   (09.30.10)
Since their sole purpose, as you admit, was not to carry aid but to break a legal war-time blockade, they can now be classified as a military operation per the Geneva Convention. As such, they could be taken prisoner and kept as POWs, or even sunk without much legal ramifications. The telling point in your post regarding their intentions is that NONE of the past flotillas had aid delivery as their intentions either - and they admitted it.
24. #15 - UNHRC was already reprimanded by nations as biased
William ,   Israel   (09.30.10)
Many nations have already spoken out against the UNHRC claiming they are just as biased and corrupt as the council they replaced.
25. #23 you are right
observer   (09.30.10)
and that's why Israel can be sued on international level for using disproportionate force against unarmed civilians. the first step would be sanctions on Israel in exchange for deporting the Israeli assailants for the trial.
26. #22 there is now a shift
observer   (09.30.10)
what matters now is breaking the ILLEGAL blockade. the flotilla incident served to highlight that illegality and uselessness of the blockade.
27. UN PROBE
Nairobi, Kenya   (09.30.10)
Resolution tabled by morons ( pakistan and the organization of islamic conference), what did you expect? Kofi Anan was more better than this slave of muslims the GREAT BAN KI-MOON, what creteria was used for this coward to be chosen as the un boss?
28. :: Robert - #9 - Sefik Dinc’s account
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (09.30.10)
Robert as you believe the eyewitness testimony by Şefik Dinc I will show you some more of his account. Note this is an abridged version of Dinc’s account, you can read the full account yourself on globalresearch.ca or elsewhere. Şefik Dinc: “I was on the second floor deck of the ship talking to my journalist friends when we suddenly saw Zodiac boats coming. From the Zodiac boats, gas, noise and smoke bombs were being thrown on board. Shortly after the attacks of the Zodiacs, the Sikorsky helicopter began to approach the ship. The three Israeli commandos who descended via rope to the pilothouse began to brawl with the volunteers waiting here on the ship. In the melee, one soldier was almost cast into the sea, but some members of the group were opposed to it. The neutralized soldiers were later taken down to the hall on the second floor. With the Israeli troops disarmed, the sound of the gunfire from the helicopters began to change. The rubber bullets fired by Israeli commandos were now real bullets. Most of the volunteers who died was as a result of this firefight. Most of those shot were on the top deck of the ship. However, on the lower deck there were also those who were injured and killed. The doctors and some activists who had seen the dead said that two people were killed by bullets that hit their heads”. So Robert according to Dinc (whom you believe) the Israel commandos were disarmed and taken below deck for medical treatment. Dinc’s own photographs show the three commandos being treated by the doctor on the Marmara. This eyewitness account by Dinc clearly shows that the passengers did not try to ‘lynch’ or kill the Israel commandos as claimed by the IDF and many pro-Israeli posters here.
29. #26 - How exactly did it do that?
William ,   Israel   (09.30.10)
There were flotillas before this and after this. This particular incident was the only one that included violent jihadists posing as peace activists. They did nothing to speak to the conditions in Gaza, which many reputable news outlets investigated and insisted there is no humanitarian crisis. And the world's conclusion is NOT that this blockade is illegal. Infact, they underscored the relevancy of the blockade and its purpose - the blocking of weapons and materials to be used for war by a known terrorist group on a sovereign UN member. So, in the end, Israel allowed in a few more products and the world was satisfied. Hamas wasn't because they couldn't import cement for bunkers or advanced weapons - ergo, the blockade works. And at this point - again, WHY are any future flotillas occurring when (as you say) they are unnecessary? The world has already spoken and is satisfied with the results.
30. #25 - I invite them to do it
William ,   Israel   (09.30.10)
1) there was no disproportionate force used to block this tub full of lemmings, and you know it. Tasering is fully acceptable by law enforcement and armies. The burden of proof is on the lemmings, not IDF nor some hack in the UN. 2) On the Mavi flotilla, video already shows who attacked first - the jihadists against the IDF. The boat captain admitted it, and an Egyptian MP admitted it. In the ratio of 8 armed activists to 1 IDF soldier with a paintball gun (also considered "unarmed"), nothing less than deadly force is called for under the Intl rules of engagement. Observer - are you again advocating for Apartheid laws here - one set of strict and convoluted laws against Israel, and one for the rest of the world? Seems like it from your posts.
