31. #23 - um, did you read my post, Observer?
William ,   Israel   (09.30.10)
Because of their intent, these "civilians" can be classified as "military" and lose their "civilian" protections. And we all know that no laws exist to punish one army when they are better armed and over-power another army. That's just called poor planning on the loser's part.
32. #28 - define "neutralized"
William ,   Israel   (09.30.10)
"The neutralized soldiers were later taken down to the hall on the second floor. " We already saw the pictures which were presented by the IHH. The soldiers had the crap beat out of them by several people at once, with fists, metal bars, and chains. That's a lynching no matter where you come from. And being "disarmed" - means nothing. The soldiers arrived with paintball guns and I have never read of anyone killed by such. So, let's recap. A few soldiers landed on the deck basically unarmed, they were rushed by activists some with weapons, a fight ensued and the soldiers were beaten up badly, one almost thrown overboard. From above, the sight was watching fellow soldiers getting lynched and their response was one of set operational policy against violent attackers. Seems like the IDF video and testimony are still supported accurately. So, Dinc, who was never down stairs nor made the assertion that he was, can suddenly give you an accurate account of what went own down there plus what went on in the minds of those attacking the soldiers, right? MK Zoabi said the same thing and she was INSIDE the ship, several floors down. Coincidence?
33. #28 - wait, so are you saying Dinc contradicts himself?
William ,   Israel   (09.30.10)
So, you admit Dinc cited a portion of the population on board the Mavi who were jihadi activists, who were itching for a battle with the IDF, and who stated their intentions publicly. But then you go on to claim that Dinc states the activists were all peaceful and only wanted to help the soldiers. The 2nd paragraph is completely your interpretation of Dinc unless you can show where he actually said those words. You do often have a habit of "interpreting" things into another form to better fit your own narrow perspective and agenda.
