Peer evaluation thru peer reviews and other accepted forums of public scrutiny is an important means of sorting thru and evaluating new ideas that are presented as possible facts. but like when the church of the middle ages attempted to control what facts are diseminated ....the folks in control of our universities are largely biased toward the evolutionaty outlook so anything that runs counter to it will run into difficulty and more often than not will be rejected. .... any thing that smells like creationism will not be given a hearing.... just like in the middle ages anything that did not agree with the churches view was rejected...

I don't really care about evolution per say unless scientist start helping it along to make babies with 180+ IQs and can lived to be 200yrs old. The earth is getting warmer, just look at the poles but pollution and carbon is only part of it, the question is it worth it to spending money to fix it or let our grandchildren worry about it.

This one isn't even hard. I don't think you fully understand the theory of evolution. Humans require external vitamin C or they suffer from scurvy. Animals didn't always require external sources of vitamin C, they used to make it naturally. However, vitamin C was so plentiful in the environment that when random mutations occurred that corrupted the DNA sequence allowing for the internal creation of vitamin C, the animals that were now unable to create didn't die. Instead they flourished, because they didn't really need to make vitamin C since it was everywhere. Likewise some bacteria invaded an animal and instead of killing the animal it was able to survive inside the animal without hurting it in a type of symbiotic relationship. The bacteria lived and reproduced for a long time inside the animal, and when dna that the bacteria previously needed for its external environment life corrupted through random mutation, it didn't hurt the bacteria's ability to thrive inside the animal. This allowed the bacteria that was unable to live outside the host body to reproduce and become plentiful, and to pass on to the host animals young. I'm sure this explanation falls on to deaf ears. But how about you explain this one though. If evolution is wrong, why is the fossil record in order. What I mean is, why are there only fossils of dinosaurs in an early time period, and the descendents of those dinosaurs fossils are only carbon dated to a later period in time? Why aren't there human fossils from before the time of dinosaurs? If evolution is not occurring then the fossil record should just be chaos, with all animals appearing at all times(unless they become extinct). Why does the fossil record appear in an order that indicates that evolution is occurring?

The Jewish people have a reputation for being intelligent. One would never come to that conclusion by reading the drivel written by so many in these talkbacks. The scientists who study global warming are not expressing opinions or pie-in-the-sky theories. They report empirical facts, i.e., they observe, measure and record environmental changes brought about by the warming of planet earth. The data collected by hundreds of scientists from every corner of the earth very strongly suggest that the earth is getting hotter. Massive climate changes have occurred in the past. Surely everyone knows about the ice ages. It is embarrassing to read the foolish nonsense that gets published on this talkback site.

You are correct. Causation is the real issue. However the case for greenhouse gasses is very strong. It may not yet be conclusively proven that the cause of global warming is due to gasses that have a greenhouse effect, however it is very foolish to poo poo the evidence. I am sure that you would agree.
