1. Lieberman = NEXT PRIME MINISTER!
EU=EURABIA?   (10.11.10)
2. "Who saved the national Palestinian leadership?=ISRAEL DID
James   (10.11.10)
and DOES everyday! If it wasn't for Israel, Abbas would be dead and there would be no peace process period! Spanish and French FM's are idiots!
3. :: An international bad joke!
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (10.11.10)
And people wonder why Israel is having such a bad time with foreign relations!?! If you appoint an ex-nightclub bouncer who is currently being investigated for taking bribes (about $2.6 million), fraudulently receiving goods, obstructing justice, harassing witnesses, and laundering millions of shekels through shell companies and bank accounts, who doesn’t follow the Israeli Gov line and who is totally unskilled in diplomatic etiquette you are going to run into problems. In this case the problem is that other FM’s think Lieberman is a bad joke.
4. Lol europe?
Omri ,   Israel   (10.11.10)
what can spain do here? Russia maybe has power, if you consider turkey as part of europe i guess that also goes for turkey... what else? The only exception is Greece and Cyprus but honestly that's it... aside from "international community pointing fingers at israel (sometimes middle fingers) they don't do too much. Germany helps Israel a little, france helps Syria... whatever overall its nothing for along time now (around the time the cold war ended).
5. Yes - 30 years of enabling embezzlement is important
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & New York   (10.11.10)
For the past 30 years the most important thing Europe has brought to the peace negotiations is money that went to Arafat's wife in France, to build a casino, and to line countless PA leader's personal pockets. I can see how this has been helpful in getting the PA to have proper European government agencies and to be ready to stand on its own feet once it becomes a nation.
6. someone should tell the EU,they are irrelevant
CHAIM SCHONBRUN ,   BROOKLYN NY   (10.11.10)
all the statistics show and prove, that within 40 years or so,the muslim takeover of Europe will be complete, and all their daughters and women will be wearing burkah's,and the men will be on their knees facing Mecca praying five times a day
7. Israel is better off with Europe NOT playing a "vital role"
Shalom   (10.11.10)
and meddling in OUR affairs. We don't meddle in yours, so don't meddle in ours. If the EU seriously want to help the so-called Palestinians, who already have a State, namely, Jordan, they should offer them half of France or even half of England which would certainly help in the "peace" process. ALL of Israel belongs to the Jews and to Jews only. The rest of the world is for non-Jews. Israel never asked any non-Jewish countries in the world for a piece of land, so non-Jews have NO right to request any part of OUR G-d given country. Take care of your Arab brethren in your own land and bug out of OUR COUNTRY please. Thank you!
8. europe has vital role in M.E., like every picnic has flies
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (10.11.10)
9. In some ways I agree with Avigdor's sentiments...
seadog1946 ,   Shooters Island, NJ   (10.11.10)
The EU should focus on it's own continental issues and not meddle in the local affairs of the mideast. The middle east, Israel included, should focus on it's own continental (Asia, Africa) issues and stop looking to the EU for alliances.
10. nobody likes hearing the truth
sleepless   (10.11.10)
but Lieberman tell it like it is. Europe should focus on itself, then on major conflicts and human right offences as in so many muslim and African and Far East countries and then look to Israel.
11. EU is an intefering enemy
DT ,   TA Israel   (10.11.10)
EU has no place in Israel. Lieberman got it totally right. They should sort out their problems some of their of their making,, Balkans, Zimbabwe, Darfur, North Korea, Iran, Pakistan , Afghanistan the list is endless
12. Eurofinancing
Olavi ,   Espoo, Finland   (10.11.10)
Stupid european politicians have financed palestinia leaders, not people, with huge sums of money. Where are the results of this money shoveling????
13. :: Eric - #5
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (10.11.10)
It always amuses me to see Ynuts point out corruption in the PA and at the same time ignore the corruption within the Israeli Gov, here is a short list of corruption Israeli politicians: Avigdor Lieberman Ehud Olmert Moshe Katsav Ezer Weizman Avraham Hirchson Shlomo Benizri Ariel Sharon Yitzhak Rabin Going forward you would do well to remember that every society has its fair share of corruption politicians and Israel is no different from the PA.
14. Avigdor the Freak Show
Hakim ,   Palestine   (10.11.10)
As deranged as the Israelis are these days they will pick this fool to be their PM, and that will be there down fall. Maldovian PM? Better make him swear the loyalty oath.
15. I loled #3 I really did
Omri ,   Israel   (10.11.10)
Why is it you people always think all the world is against Israel? That Israel is failing with international relations? Do you really think everyone thinks like you do? I can name right now a few countries who disagree with you: Netherlands, USA, Germany, Georgia, India, Mexico. The list goes on and on, if you really want to look into it be welcome to go look up some readings on the subject. You matty are the bad joke here. Salma and the rest of the Palestinians here at least have some small (Very small) moral justification to what they write here and that's to serve their people by doing that. You matty have no justification other then a rich history of antisemitism.
16. JESUS IS ISRAEL
LOGIC ,   EMET   (10.11.10)
JESUSALEN!
17. answer to FM Kouchner
PW ,   Virginia USA   (10.11.10)
FM Kouchner say's that Europes' 27 nations have peace after 100's of years of warfare...well I wonder how that came to pass...the American and Russian armies imposed peace and occupied the belligerents...now will Europe let the Israelis finish a war and put an end to Arabs warmongering?
18. Pivotal role?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.11.10)
Whom is he kidding? The European Union has become hostage to its large, unruly and ever-increasing Moslem populations. Pivotal role? What a joke! The EU needs to do some serious house-cleaning within its member states, before trying to set Israel's policies. European arrogance on steroids ....
19. #13 please explain
(10.11.10)
Olmert, Sharon and Weizman yes. But Katzav and Lieberman? Please explain.
20. Israel crucial to talks with the Basques?
nadav ,   tlv   (10.11.10)
Why should the Castillian and Gaulish occupiers have a say in Israeli affairs and not the other way around? Why can't Israel (or other countries) play a role in negotiations to give the Basques freedom from Spain and France? The same goes for Corsica, Brittany, South Flanders, New Caledonia, etc... Lieberman was 100% in what he told the Europeans! they should mind their own business!
21. domestic corruption vs. Foreign corruption
nadav ,   tlv   (10.11.10)
Matty take a look at your own list?! none of these people received a cent from your Euro-commies! If these people are under investigation, they are so for domestic corruption charges, it has NOTHING to do with the fact that the EU willingly transfers BILLIONS of Euro tax money to Arab terrorists, thieves, criminals, mobsters, and Suha AraFAT!
22. Matey#14
james ,   london uk   (10.11.10)
If you think Israel and Pa corruption are no different than you should take the blinkers off.......just ask any arab? Matey!!
23. To: No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.11.10)
And the current American president is a former neighborhood agitator, er, sorry, "organizer." Just like the "Reverend" Al Sharpton. Incredible qualifications for the office of the president .... Hussein Obama is a joke, and on November 2nd, he is going to find out just how much of a joke the American people think he is. At least Lieberman has the best interests of the State of Israel at heart. The same cannot be said for Obama, now can it? Well -- we'll find out, come November 2nd. You were saying?
24. Europe vital role in the ME: major buffoons
Frank ,   Canada   (10.11.10)
25. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.11.10)
And what has the "Palestinian" so-called "leadership" done for you lately? Let's see. Abbas, Erekat and the rest of their cronies have second and third homes in Europe, and very lavish offshore bank accounts, while unemployment in the West Bank grows ever higher, the infrastructure continues to collapse even more, simple services are no longer available, hospitals have closed, universities have closed, and the Widow Arafat lives grandly in Paris on a pension of USD 10 million per month. That's right -- per month. The best thing that ever happened to the Arabs on the West Bank is Israel -- we built an infrastructure for you; we built hospitals, medical clinics, schools, libraries, universities; high-paying jobs in Israel were available for anyone who wanted one; we put an end to your chronic outbreaks of cholera by building a sewage system; we paved your roads; we brought modern irrigation techniques .... and how did you repay us? Terror, more terror and even more terror. Suicide bombers. That's why there is a security fence. That is why you are largely no longer permitted to work in Israel. And you talk about "loyalty oaths?" Why don't you have your so-called "leadership" swear a loyalty oath to the Arab people living on the West Bank? Their loyalty is solely to themselves; they care not a whit for you.
26. Israel should send envoys to help settle EU conflicts
Logic ,   Israel   (10.11.10)
For many years I've thought that Israel needs to send a representative to help settle EU problems, like the Spanish/ Basque conflict and Northern Ireland. Now there's an opportunity to help mediate the Roma situation in France, so Israel, don't miss out!
27. does it matter anymore, with everage of 3
ghostq   (10.11.10)
million muslim immigrants in each Europene stat, I think the ME already is in Europe, so in other words, it is Europe bussiness, irony indeed.
28. #13 Matty: Europe funds PA corruption, Israel fund its own
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & New York   (10.11.10)
Matty you seem to think that we are blind to Israel's corruption. You seem to forget the various legal cases being processed against current or past Israeli politicians (from most of the parties). But Israeli corruption is paid for by Israeli taxes. While PA corruption is paid for by European taxes. Abbas needs to build his people up enough to be able to fleece them like he does Europe.
29. Why foreign ministers Miguel Moratinos and Bernard Kouchner
David ,   USA/ISRAEL/EGYPT   (10.11.10)
met Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad in Jerusalem and not in Ramalah where he is. To show the world that Jerusalem is Palestinian.? Mr Lieberman did well to tell them to mind their own business . You cannot trust those two to be neutral in anyway
30. Unfortunately Lieberman is right
Dani ,   Amsterdam NL   (10.11.10)
No one in EU has the courage to admit that we have already a problem related with the Islamic population. Islam is not meaning violence but unfortunately too many are using religion as alibi for every kind of atrocity. They don't miss any opportunity to threaten us of revenge or holy war and our weak and very "polite"governments in order to avoid inconveniences (bombings on EU soil) are taking a low profile against and this is the real danger.
