1. Returning to herzl's zionism would be great
(10.21.10)
because herzl's dream was to make a secular jewish state in uganda where they will be able to live as Gdless jews as they please and never have a problem with those fanatic talibanim hareidim and it will certainly bring true peace in the mid-east.
2. I agree
Roey   (10.21.10)
I'm sorry but Israel is the biggest oxymoron in the history of oxymorons. A Jewish Democratic state? What exactly is that? Is it a theocracy or a democracy? Herzl's original vision was for a state for Jews to be free to be Jewish and not be persecuted. A democratic state with Jewish nature is one thing, but Israel is more and more becoming governed by Jewish Law (and some people want that) as opposed to just having a Jewish nature. When religion is dictating how the state operates and people's right to personal choice is being harassed, then democracy does not exist. If haredim want to pretend they still live the in the shtetls then they are allowed but they have no right to hold violent rallies against other's way of life or to be parasites of the state.
3. to #1 uganda is as kongo people live there no
ghostq   (10.21.10)
more than 40 years, with kolera desease shortage of water, jews got no past there, they belong in Israel, oh BTW haredim today r no longer zionists, they used to be, if you don't know your own history.
4. #1, go there and then tells us about it 60 years from now
(10.21.10)
5. So pitiful
Yaron ,   Switzerland   (10.21.10)
The Labour Party have long abandonned The Ben Gurion's Zionist Way. So now they re-invent "The Herzl Zionism ? Labour Party is over, Kaput, rien, Efes, Big Zero, Big Boredom !
6. Re: #5
Edan ,   Melbourne, Australia   (10.21.10)
Yaron, the left is not dead it is in re-building and will come back stronger. You are also wrong about Avoda, most of the representatives weren't from Labour, they were from Meretz, an actual left wing party, and Kadima, the party who got the most seats.
