Yaaqove ,   Haifa   (10.25.10)
wow!
4. Egyptian Refusnik
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (10.25.10)
Good for you for thinking instead of accepting the propaganda of enemy media. You have a strong mind - something that the religious fanatics hate. As for refusing to serve in your army, well - it is not for fighting Israelis, specifically. Especially now I do not see this happening. Hypothetically, Egypt could be set upon by Muslim fanatics, then you'd have to fight to keep your independence (pacifist or not).
5. Maikel Nabil Sanad, you are
Yossef ,   Toronto/Rehovot   (10.25.10)
my brother, or more precisely my son, taking care of your age :) You will be welcome home when I'll back soon home. In Israel also there are people like you, who think that Arabs are not our enemies, you are definitely my friend and I am your friend. לך בשלום אחי

9. # 1
Birdi ,   Israel   (10.25.10)
Such a shame that your mind is 100% closed to learning even 1% of what this brave young Egyptian man is saying here.
10. 1# Salma; So, Israelis are beasts ?
Nora Tel Aviv   (10.25.10)
We don`t think that thePalestinians are beasts. They are human beings yearning for the elimination of the Israeli presence in the Middle East. Should we, the Israelis, accept that? What do you think Salma? Do you think that those beasts (!) should be shoved off from the ME?
11. sanity in an insane world
real vision ,   usa   (10.25.10)
With such clear thoughts, he should be careful because such thoughts are usually not allowed to grow in arab countries. Yes he is courageous and understands jews and Israel's right to its holy land and peaceful existence. Hope he survives fanatical islam's terror and violence
12. Aha so Mubarak Kingdom more democratic?
Nour ,   One State   (10.25.10)
At least we have had the most democratic and clean election in the ME, results of which was rejected by the hypocritical West with their local dog besieging 1.5 million of our electorate. This idiot should remember that Palestinian education and literacy levels exceed, ummm... humbles those of Egypt, essentially a banana republic. Go bark at your rulers and people for doing nothing about it!
13. He just tripled his life insurance premium...
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (10.25.10)
But hats off for showing such cojones. Kol Hakavod.
14. Salma's medicin doctor

Salma is angry because she lost her medicin doctor.
15. So this man is a Pacifist but agree with IDF actions in Gaza
Moise   (10.25.10)
Isn't this a contradiction?? I think he want to infiltrate Israel as double agent spy.
16. Salma
aryman ,   florida   (10.25.10)
You are such a bigott, dont you have anything else to do or are you being paid by the PLO/Fatah to write all your spitefull coments, you are a piece of work!! keep your head under the sand like the ostrich and you will wake up to a different reality in a few years... all Arabs are not as missinformed and naive as you, they know the truth about their leaders and their political brainwashing, they know how their media plays their hand, they would love to be as free and progressive as the Israelis are, able to speak freely and without fear, able to do as your conscience dictates, able to practice their religion freely without fundamentalist intrussion, able to live in peace and to prosper to see their children grow and reach their dream...like Golda Meir once said "we will achieve peace, when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us" ...go and love your kids Salma!!!
17. #12 You can educate a fool, Nour.....
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (10.25.10)
.....but you can't make him/her think. 'This idiot', as you ignorantly label him happens to be enlightened yet unfortunately endangered by the likes of you.
18. this means he is Pro...
Ahmed ,   UAE   (10.25.10)
..Hell
19. This so-called egyptian is a brainwashed fool
christianpalestinian ,   las vegas, nevada   (10.25.10)
I bet he was paid off too. Egyptians are known to be sellouts to the palestinian people.
20. True.
Ayman ,   EG   (10.25.10)
What Maikel is saying is true. Many Egyptians support the state of Israel, and understand that the reason the conflict continues is not Israel, but terrorists and those who want to destroy Israel. You won't hear about us a lot in the media, because we wouldn't want to reveal ourselves in a society where the people and opposition forces that demand freedom and democracy are actually more fascist than the ruling regime.
21. #15 re-read the article
Omri ,   Israel   (10.25.10)
He said it was Palestinian aggression and a war Israel didn't chose to make but rather a one forced on her by the Palestinians. Yea that means he is pro Israel as a pacifist as in Israel doesnt want war and palastinian leaders do.
22. It isnt true that he is the first Arab supporter
Sultan ,   Jeddah   (10.25.10)
Many Arabs are convinced of Israel's right to exist but are unable to verbalise that due to intense pressure to display anti-israeli sentiment to be considered a true Arab and a patriot. The main point anti-israeli's have that cannot be refuted is that Palestinians have suffered tremendously because of the jewish state, and I wish that did not have to happen in order for the Jewish state to exist and prosper. Ideally the palestinians would move out to egypt or sinai and jordan and would truly be accepted and integrated into Arab society. But that has not happened for 60 years and so is unlikely to happen. How can you judge Jews for wanting a homeland after being persecuted throughout history whare ever they tried to settle. But you cant judge the Palestinians for not wanting their whole identity to be lost and forgotten by moving out of the land they lived in since the 7th century.
23. to all of the talkbackers
Saladdin ,   El Quds   (10.25.10)
I wonder, how many Jews are pro-Palestine?????
24. to #6 that is what she really thinks on jews
ghostq   (10.25.10)
it won't be the last oops she will make.
25. God's plan for Egypt
Drs. Dorothea Killus ,   Germany   (10.25.10)
Great - we pray for you, Maikel! See what God planned for your country, as transmitted by the prophet Isaiah - long ago already - , in Is. 19, verses 19-25: "In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the heart of Egypt, and a monument to the LORD at its border. It will be a sign and witness to the LORD Almighty in the land of Egypt. ... So the LORD will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the LORD. ... In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying, 'Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.'"
26. #23 more then you may think
Omri ,   Israel   (10.25.10)
Go read the Hebrew Ynet talkbacks and notice...
27. to #18 el in hebrew means god, the one almighty
ghostq   (10.25.10)
I think he won't like that but that is my humble opinion, none like name calling. especially when god is involved.
28. Bizarre hasbara
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (10.25.10)
This story is hilarious. If an Israeli wanst to be a conscientious objector, and he is not 'religious', he is thrown in jail to the general applause of the Israeli public. When you find an Egyptian doing the same, it is a cause for celebration.Frankly, the only thing I agree with this objector is that compulsory military service is a crime against the individual. The rest is BS.
29. Self-hating Arab
Joseph   (10.25.10)
Oh well, I guess there are a few self-hating Arabs out there. He is not important enough to give attention to him. Just a mentally deficient person.
30. How About a Trade
Musa ,   Israel   (10.25.10)
We send the Salami (1) to Egypt and bring Maikel here.
