Now, it is time for israel to be honest with the world community, admit their many crimes and mistakes, and withdraw from the west bank and east jerusalem.

Looking at this sentence how i will tell my son when he will be 18 years old that he has to go to the army. Soldiers are also human and can make mistakes but first and most they have to protect themselves in enemy territory. Its a shame that the state spend so much resources on persecuting these soldiers instead of persecuting terrorists.

Even when convicted of forcing a young child to open bags thought to contain bombs these soldiers still pretend to be the victims and show no remorse for their cowardly deed! What is disgusting is the verdict of the Court. These two soldiers were fighting a war. Fighting against terrorists were are doing all in theirs power to kill and maim innocent people and to destroy Israel. What is also disgusting are the replies of Nos. 1, 2,5,6 and 7. These two soldiers are patriots who were fighting to protect their Country. Give them a medal, don't prosecute them. They should know that the large majority of their Country fully supports them.

Facts and circumstances are missing from this story.

When a country sends their young men into battle and then convicts any of them for acting in an war like manner, the country is in trouble. It is happening in the U.S. with regularity and the U.S. is bowing out as a world leader. Bowing out because no one is afraid of a military that does not try to win at all costs and whose leaders punish troops for acting war like.

Any one who thinks that being a soldier means that you have to be noble and sacrifice yourself, is a fool who has never been in combat. A soldier's first mission is to win the fight and the secind is to survive and return to his family. The enemy be damned.

There is a very simple solution for soldiers to follow in a combat situation. You have a suspicious object? Blow the damn thing up and finished. In a combat situation, a soldier's first duty is to protect him/herself so that they are able to continue fighting. It's strange that I have never heard of any russian soldier or officer being tried for war crimes by their country. Or chinese, or North Korean, or North Vietnamese, or any arab country, or any african country or south american republic.
