1. Why do People want to know sex of their baby ?!!
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.01.10)
Nothing like that magic moment when you hear it's a boy!" or "it's a girl!" ...more important concern whether the unborn baby was healthy or not..
2. To kill a fetus
Ronnie ,   Australia   (11.01.10)
Reminds me of a movie where a mother has to decide which one of her two children is to live. The boy or the girl. The Nazi uniform exposed the horror of it all. I was a clinical photographer and photographing dead fetus's was part of my job. {tiny flowers in their little hands or next to their perfect little feet, using a 100 macro lense .} The midwives and myself always referred to the little ones as "children." For the record they where the "lost," children of heart broken moms & dads. THE PILL OR CONDOMS etc is a much more civilized form of behavior. The above article is very upsetting.
3. I have known women who had an early life abortion. They
Rivkah   (11.01.10)
suffered from life-long regret and depression. Marriages rarely survive an abortion. Something dies in the relationship besides the unborn child. In the Scriptures, the Hebrew word for fetus, baby, and child is the same word. Psalms says YHWH knew David from his mother's womb. The most dangerous place in America is a mother's womb. Killing fetuses, babies, and children is haSatan's specialty. It goes back to the sacrificing of children to Molack that YHWH hates. Sacrificing children leads to YHWH vomiting a people out of the land, just as flaunting sodomy does. IT's A CHILD, NOT a CHOICE.
4. Agreeing with Salma!
Chaya ,   Tel Aviv   (11.01.10)
One of the few times I am agreeing with Salma on something! I knew there was something we could find agreement on!
5. There is no "moral issue"
M. Tarakanoff   (11.01.10)
There is no "moral issue." A woman has a right to decide whether she wants to proceed with pregnancy or abort it, and she has a right to make an informed decision about it. That's the end of the debate, and nothing further has to be said. Who are you to dictate other people how to live and what is moral and what is not? Get off your high horses. No one is forcing you to take the tests or abort your would be children; what other people do is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. So stop feigning moral outrage. Valid medical reasons aside, encouraging a woman to perform abortion is every bit as intrusive, immoral and offensive as discouraging her, so please remove your bleeding hearts from the lives of others and have some decency for a change.
6. M. Tarakanoff #5
Steve Klein   (11.01.10)
M. Tarakanoff, you ask, "Who are you to dictate other people how to live and what is moral and what is not?" I do not dictate anything. For those of us who believe in a higher power (in God, if you will) we believe it is immoral to murder and to shed innocent blood. It is as simple as that. Murder is our business sir or madam. And as Jews we are especially obligated to condemn evil.
7. Aborting due to gender foolish and immoral
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (11.01.10)
Just consider the case of China's "one child" policy. Boys were deemed more desirable, and many females were aborted so parents could "try again". The end result: not enough women available for men looking to marry. There are other arguable positions that might justify an abortion - a mortal threat to the woman carrying the fetus, a serious genetic abnormality that would lead to a life of suffering - but "it's a girl" isn't one of them.
8. Response to #5
Besalel ,   Great Neck, NY   (11.01.10)
While I support Roe v Wade here in the US, I am disgusted by your callous disregard for the complexity and sensitivity of the issue that is the subject of this debate. There is another opinion on this matter, you know. While you and I may be pro-choice you have to respect the very legitimate concerns of those that are pro-life. How little regard do you have for human life anyway that you declare "a woman has the right to choose and there is nothing further to be said?" I wholeheartedly disagree with you, sir. There is plenty that is to be said on BOTH sides of this issue.
9. Kill a Jewish baby because it is not the sex you want?
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.01.10)
Maybe a law to prevent the disclosure of info not related to a defective gene like Tay-Sachs.
