31. casus belli
observer   (11.03.10)
The Lebanese government recently handed to the UN documents marking what it believes is the correct path of Lebanon's maritime border with Israel. In the absence of a mutual agreement on the border and division of resources, Israel could follow the "right of capture" rule, which allows a nation to extract oil or gas from its side of the border, even if the reserves stretch into another country's territory. The conflicting Israeli and Lebanese claims have both countries rattling their sabers. Israeli Infrastructure Minister Uzi Landau has warned that Israel "will not hesitate to use force" to protect its investment. In response, Lebanese parliamentary speaker Nabih Berri called for speedy approval of proposals for oil and gas exploration off the coast of Lebanon as "the best way to respond to Israeli threats."

Read the news of last week: The UN has discovered that Lebanon puts the maritime border of Israel even farther north than the Israelis. Typical, to repeat "news" proven false especially if it's inconvenient news.
35. #32 news from Israel about Lebanon's "secret" maps proves it
observer   (11.04.10)
The UN’s International Court of Justice has ruled on maritime borders in the past. The very claim used by Israel's PR helps only to incriminate Israel. If in the past Israel looked enviously at Lebanon's most precious resource, water, and prepared for future military engagements to secure this vital lifeline, it is now urgent to add oil and gas to this list of potential sources of conflict between the two countries.
36. #32 news from Israel about Lebanon's "secret" maps proves it
Solomon ,   Bklyn   (11.04.10)
Where are "secret maps" referenced? All I find are references to secret maps (NO quotation marks) whereby Hezbollah and Syria are planning to attack Israel. The rest of your post shows no logic: "The very claim used by Israel's PR helps only to incriminate Israel." 'Therefore if A, then 12.'

Salma, Yaala! Where is your Sharia clothing? Don't forget to walk three steps behind me. By the way, would you have the freedem to comment in Iran, or Saudi Arabia?
