that is caught trespassing through the cemetery, desecrating a grave or hurling stones and otherwise interfering with visitors to the cemetery wishing to see it or to pay their respects to loved ones who are gone .... should be deported. No questions, no right of appeal, no recourse. If they cannot behave properly in our country, they will have to leave.

You want local Palestinians to respect the sanctity of the Mount of Olives Cemetary? Then ask the Israeli government to treat moslem/christian cemetaries with the dignity they deserve. Israel's record since 1948 has been absolutely dismal. Bulldozing Palestinian Arab cemetaries and building on top of them - with the ancient Mamilla cemetary in West Jerusalem the most recent example - does not set a good example. Treat others as you want to be treated.

You're going to have to document that -- from credible sources, if you don't mind. I do wish to point out to you that there is no people more respectful of the dead than the Jewish people. We have had to endure millennia of having our graves desecrated and defiled; we do not visit it on anyone else. The "Palestinians" make absurd charges to that effect all the time -- they are just projecting their own bad acts onto others -- but just because they routinely desecrate graves and think nothing of it does not mean that Jewish people would even CONTEMPLATE doing the same. You can read about the deplorable history of Arab vandalism and Arab desecration of Jewish graves on the Mount of Olives here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_of_Olives

The graves removed recently from the cemetery had no corpse below them. They were fake, put there by the muslims to increase the cemetery. Also about the Mamilla Cemitery, look at the following link, the article named "Cemetery Into Business Centre": http://www.jpress.org.il/Default/Scripting/ArchiveView.asp?BaseHref=PLS/1945/11/22&Page=2&SelectedEntity=Ar00206&skin=TAUEn&AppName=2&CurrentPage=2&PageSize=5

So, if E Jerusalem is not in Israel, where are you suggesting that it is, Jordan, as it was the occupying power between 1948 and 1967?

I have found that most Jewish and Palestinians are good people but a few radicals on both side have pushed for total victory, winner take all attitude, that has poisoned both side to point that any peace deal will be very hard now. It seems that religion leaders from all sides are the most to blame in order to gain more influence and power, in some ways the Christians may have failed the most in lack of inaction or in fanning the flames of hate for their own agenda.

Israel can annex nothing of historical palestine without Palestinan legitimacy. If it were part of Israel it would be recognised the world over. Why do you think the International community recognises Tel Aviv as the Israeli capital and america disapointed at east Jeruselem building anouncement. Do you think its because east Jerusalem is not in Israel nomatter how much the Israeli state covets E.J. It will never be recognised without Palestinan agreement?

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.09.10)
Historically, dear, "Palestinian" always referred to Jews. There was, of course, for example, the "Palestine Brigade," which fought alongside the British in World War II, and was made up exclusively of Jewish Palestinians. The Arabs are trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the world. There has never been a country "Palestine." It has only ever been the Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judea, and then conquered territory for two thousand years, culminating with Mandatory Palestine, which ended in 1947 with the partition vote. The Jews voted for partition. The Arabs voted against, and chose to go to war instead. They lost. The West Bank and Gaza are non-sovereign territory. Israel acquired both in the course of fighting defensive wars against both the Egyptians and the Jordanians. Israel has withdrawn from Gaza, and look at the bear's nest that has become. Israel also acquired the Golan Heights from Syria in the course of fighting a defensive war in 1967. The Syrians lost the Golan; Israel annexed it in 1982, much the way they annexed East Jerusalem in 1967. To the victor belongs the spoils. Are you planning to rewrite the entire history of warfare and the international compendium of practice and law that has emerged from warfare? Merely because it suits your anti-Semitic purpose? What do you hope to achieve, keeping in mind that you cannot apply one set of laws to one nation and a different set of laws to every other nation? Israel is a sovereign nation. The Arabs had their chance -- no fewer than three times, I might add -- and have rejected all three. Sorry. Germany lost 25% of its territory as a result of World War II. Italy lost all of Istria. The Japanese lost IwoJima and Okinawa. Iwo Jima was subsequently ceded back to Japan (much the way Israel ceded back the Sinai and Gaza) but only one-fourth of Okinawa was ceded back to Japan, the remainder continuing to be controlled by the United States. It has nothing to do with "coveting" territory -- although I suppose that is how you could characterize British cotnrol of the six northern counties in Ireland. It has, on the other hand, everything to do with the outcome of war. If you decide to change the principles of that, all hell will surely break out throughout the world. A good place to start would be Scotland, don't you agree? Frankly, with all the North Sea oil at stake, Scotland would be far better off being fully independent and not a part of the United Kingdom. Isn't that why you've established your own Parliament? Alastair, simply put, there are legitimate international causes and there are those that have no legitimacy. The "Palestinians" have no legitimacy. They are, for the most part, interlopers and squatters that come from Egypt, Syria, Iraq and, principally, from the Hejaz in Western Arabia. That's just the way it is. Six wars (all started by the Arabs and won by Israel) and nearly seventy years of Arab terror on an unparalleled scale have failed to change the facts. The only true Palestinians are the Jews. Even the British government recognized that. Don't change the facts to suit your political argument; that won't wash, unless you are willing to do it in a manner that is consistent and would thus affect every single nation on the face of the earth. Good luck with that one. I just don't see Australia returning that country to the Aborigines, do you? I just don't see the United States restoring California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas to Spain, do you? I just don't see Canada ceding Quebec and Labrador back to France, do you? Do you understand the monumental folly that you are proposing? I hope so, but somehow I doubt it. Anti-Semites always find a way to justify their unreasonable demands of Israel and you, sir, are just a common garden-variety anti-Semite. More's the shame.

Oh, so you think it is perfectly acceptable to paint swastikas on Jewish gravestones if it suits the vile purposes of living "Palestinians." Well, in that case, you can go to hell.
18. So, Alistair believes E Jerusalem is 'palestinian' because..
Truth Hertz ,   UK   (11.09.10)
It was ethnically cleansed of Jews in 1948 by the invading arabian armies?
19. And, Alistair, you completely avoided answering my question.
Truth Hertz ,   UK   (11.09.10)
Where are you saying that E Jerusalem is, if not in Israel? Do you think that it is in Jordan? Because it is not in palestine as there is no such country and never has been.
