The American Indian also had dreams. Unlike the Jews' connection to Israel, white European colonialists, squatters and settlers had no historic connection to the north American continent. Unlike the Muslim-Arab peoples living in the Middle East, many Indian tribes dreamed of living side by side in peace with their new interloper European guests. The Cherokee Indians for example adopted white civilization, farming, European culture, writing, etc. Many Indians adopted Christianity. The Cherokees had a newspaper (the Phoenix) and a written constitution! But Georgia's whites would have none of it. They coveted the Cherokee's land and the people of Georgia -- supported by President Andrew Jackson and his 1830 Indian Removal Act -- took Cherokee land by force. Americans expelled the Cherokee nation (the Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Seminole Indians - the five civilized tribes) west of the Mississippi River in the "Trail of Tears" and other mass / forced expulsions. Many American Indians had the ability to dream but the forbears of what we today call the American people would have none of it. Americans dreamed of "Manifest Destiny." Americans claimed "by the right of our Manifest Destiny to overspread and to possess the whole of the continent which Providence has given us for the development of the great experiment of liberty and federated self-government entrusted to us....." Where are the investigations and resolutions in the United Nation's General Assembly and Security Council? Why isn't America held accountable for this massive conquest and displacement of Native Americans who wanted to live side by side in peace with these white Europeans? Maybe it is because it is the way of the world? Maybe it is the way many, perhaps most, nations were established throughout history; one nation displacing another nation. Why is it that Israel is held to a higher, even an outrageous and hypocritical standard considering the fact that the Jews returned to their / our own God-given land and fought several defensive wars (of annihilation) to live in our own land? Why is tiny Israel -- a mere 8 to 10,000 square miles - held to this higher, outrageous and hypocritical standard by the nations of the world when the nations bequeathed the Muslim-Arab peoples better than 6 million square miles of land, much of it oil and resource rich? What is with the United States of America given her own history? God blessed the American people with land, wealth and resources. Is this the proper way to repay the God of Israel who blessed America and the American people?

#31 Salma. If you wish to dream your life away, that is your right. The whole world doesn't want to see a "Palestinian" state in Judea and Samaria. Jordan opposes it almost as much as Israel. In fact, most Arabs are either indifferent to or oppose such an abomination. Recent polls don't lie. You keep dreaming. We'll keep building Judea and Samaria.

To Chaim and Salma: I propose the following per A. Sharons foresight: 1m productive Jews relocate to Israel ASAP, whether temporary or permanent. Some would beef up the settlements (major) which will be retained in an agreement, partly as Israel's Eastern real wall. They would receive traiing in defense and offensive maneuvers...by experts.
