7 Talkbacks for this article
1. Terrorist not activist
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.23.10)
He has attacked our people many times, incited genocide and all he got was a year in jail. Should have been hung instead.
2. Activist, schmakticist!
moriah ,   sacramento usa   (11.23.10)
Dig a hole and put him in it...
3. More "Palestinian" whining
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.23.10)
"We're determined to contiune non-violent struggle against fence" Nothing nonviolent about hurling stones with slings. Just ask Goliath. You pays your money, you takes your chances. You engage in violence, you lose the right to complain about the consequences. Of course the "Palestinians" seem to think that the consequences wrought by their own bad behavior are always someone else's fault, but we've known that for seventy-plus years. Typical "Palestinian" attitude and behavior, which is why they are where they are today -- on the downward grade of a very steep incline, moving fast. Pathetic, but I really don't care anymore. They are the architects of their own misery; let them suffer the consequences therefor.
4. very violent
Michael ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.23.10)
I have been to several demos in Bilin organised by Abu Rahma and they are not "none violent" at all! I have photos and videos that show him on the forefront of violence against soldiers. All this talk of non violent resistance is just another lie by the producers of Paliwood, meaning exactly the opposite.
5. The military holds the Supreme Court in contempt
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor   (11.23.10)
Remember the Supreme Court ruling of 2007 that deemed the separation fence in Bil'in illegal? It ordered the Israeli army to move the fence, but it has simply refused to carry out the order by the Supreme Court. It is not suprising to see how the military refuses to release Abdullah Abu Rahma from prison. In the Occupied Territories any pretense at holding up democratic or moral principles is dumped and Israel reveals its true face: one of unashamed colonialism and apartheid. There are dozens of Palestinians held in 'administrative detention', a trick used by military dictatorships the world over (like in Burma/Myanmar), which enables them to hold prisoners without charge. Why not try that?? If Catherine Ashton wants to be taken seriously in Israel and in the EU, now is the time to take political and economical sanctions against Israel. Words of protest are no longer enough.
6. Non-violent? Even the picture disproves that
William ,   Israel   (11.23.10)
These people are very violent, they just choose to list their activities of throwing stones, throwing molotov cocktails, and shooting against the IDF as "non-violent"...though I'm sure Ghandi would vehemently disagree with them. They can riot all they like. In a closed military zone, they're subject to arrest and even being injured...all their own personal faults. so who cares?
7. # 4
Birdi ,   Israel   (11.24.10)
I too have been to several demos at Bilin & have seen how very violent these people are.
