1. Will Turkey return the favor?
Charles ,   pARIS, france   (12.02.10)
I doubt it. After Israel sent rescue teams to Turkey, Turkey's government is so mired in its hatred of Israel that there's no way they would do the human thing and offer israel a hand. Next time Israel should let Turkey rot.
2. help
(12.02.10)
You think that turkey would return the favor of israel helping it during its earthquake, by sending a few planes to help douse the fire. No, the bloody moslem brotherhood of erdogan, af irst rate liar and conspiracy stooge, motivated by religiousracism like hamas and hezbollah does nothing. Any so called peace with the plo/hamas would like turkey with its constant moaning of israel, israel, israel. Erdogan can take gul and dovotogolu and watch their backs because the turkish army is at the breaking point. If there is a coup, these 3 will be executed in seconds. Lieberman is dead right: just manage the quo, forget about any peace as it is worthless. The wikileaks show clearly that israel can do business with some arab countries. As for Obama, he was wrong on linkage, his moslemhood causes him to minimize terror and whitewash turkey, syria and hamas and his personal upbringing and relation with khalidi makes him dangerous to israel. His motivation is to harm adn reduce the size of israel. Bibi should forget about freezes of any kind, of any kind and should have little contact with him during the next 2 years. Abbas, haniyeh and nasrollah had better pray to allah that their fingerprints are not on the carmel fire because if they are, the next opportunity will see israel burn them. And that maybe the way to counter hezbollah dug in bunkers-set the whole place on fire using a mix of incendiaries and suffocate the representatives of iran in lebanon.IDF-take note.

9. i'd think - and hope - turkey offered help already...
eporue ,   europe   (12.02.10)
but this wont make any other open issues "ignorable"... possible, that lieberman would think as #1, in such a situation. but a rabbi said "when we help, we dont ask". it should be so.
10. Bulgaria sends firemen too
Hristo ,   Sofia, Bulgaria   (12.02.10)
Bulgarian online newspapers write, 90 fireman are on the way to Israel.
11. Why are we always unprepared for emergencies?
jason white ,   afula,israel   (12.02.10)
Remember what happened in the sec leb war? We do not have our new masks yet. We have to beg planes and other equipment. We need more firefighters. But the damn treasury will cut budgets for services, education and defense, but have enough to give the hara-dim!
12. Thank you friends of Israel
Jeremy ,   Chicago USA   (12.02.10)
and brave forces battling this disaster. The most important thing is to have no fear - Al tira Yisrael ki gur aryeh alo ata
13. Thank you!
Barbara S. ,   USA (The MidWest)   (12.02.10)
Evxapisto (Thanks in Greek) to the Greeks from Greece and Cyprus!!! Thank you also to all the other countries, etc., who are helping Israel during this difficult time. Continue to pray for Israel, all you who love Israel!
14. I'm Deeply Grateful to these Nations Helping Israel
Linda Rivera ,   New York, USA   (12.02.10)
in her time of sorrow and great need. Little Israel is always one of the first ones to help other nations in their tragedies. Why does America not help?
15. Where is the US
zionist forever   (12.02.10)
Greece & Cyprus have offered help and doing something about it but where is the US? Why were the Americans not the first to respond and offer help, is Obama on the phone to Abbas asking for his permission to send help or what political concessions will be demanded in exchange? I am watching this thing on the news right now and it looks like an erupting volcano with lava flowing it really is out of control. Never seen anything like it before.
16. fire disaster
debbie ,   israel   (12.02.10)
Israel is a tiny little country, and Israel is always among the first country to offer rescue and medical teams anywhere in the world where there is a disaster. Let's see now, if any of these countries will return the help, this being the first time that Israel has ever had to ask for this kind of help.
17. #1 Turkey has offered it is Israel who is vacillating!
(12.02.10)
Your comment is just not fair! I am not a huge lover of the current Turkish government but they know that we (Israel) has helped them as first response backup on 3 different occassions and they were among the first to offer assistance. It is Prime Minister Mr. Netanyahu's Government which is about to make a serious error if they reject the Turkish aid!
18. Turkey not offering help? Did anyone even read this article
Ken ,   USA   (12.02.10)
What is going on here? This article specifically says Turkey is sending airplanes but there are comments here complaining that Turkey isn't doing anything. Are Israeli's so insane they scroll to the bottom of the screen to submit maligning comments before even reading the article??
19. if Turkey & Russia can send help why isnt Obama
zionist forever   (12.02.10)
Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Croatia, Azerbajan, Russia and even Turkey. Alot of countries seem happy to answer the calls for help but so far the one country I don't see on that list is the US. What happens to the US being our closest ally? Have our relations got so bad since Obama came along that they will not even answer a call for help in dealing with something like this? If this had been happening in a muslim country Obama would have instantly sent over every firefighting plane in the country owns and sending ships full of aid. As its Israel the Obama regime does nothing at all
20. #18 the article changes over time, but the comments aren't
(12.02.10)
being reset.
21. Well said Linda #14
(12.02.10)
Maybe you can put your words into action and send Turkey a thank you card.
22. Obama offer you a freeze you didnot take it
tea man ,   Marjayoun   (12.02.10)
thus you got the fire now you are begging for freeze life is cynical
23. To put out the flames
AK ,   Greece   (12.03.10)
Being Greek, I'm glad to see our government has offered help and has not forgotten Israel's aid during the devastating 2007 fires. As for those angry at the US, you've got to keep in mind that firefighting planes are not fast like fighter jets or even passenger planes. It would take a couple of days for planes from e.g. California to arrive by which time they'll probably be of little use. Hope the fire is extinguished quickly!
24. #10
(12.02.10)
thank you to bulgaria and the wonderful people of bulgaria from israel with love
25. where is
(12.03.10)
the usa? england? africa? europe? israel has regularly sent teams of doctors and of rescue workers in all times of trouble. even israeli tourists in nearby easter countries in asia flew to aid during the flood in eastern asia instead of coming home? where is the collective humanity when it comes to jews in israel? and they call israel inhumane???????
26. special thanks to turkey !
eporue ,   europe   (12.03.10)
27. #19 I was wondering the same thing. There are 4 US Naval...
(12.03.10)

28. 11
Chaim ,   Jerusalem   (12.03.10)
why at such a difficult time for the jewish nation, is there always someone who has to bring in haredim into the picture and bash them. The hatred is just so amazing. Relax a bit. Post a comment about the fire, not about the haredim.
29. # 10
Birdi ,   Israel   (12.03.10)
