In the 1920's many Arabs countries did not consider the Palestinians as Arabs. Jerusalem was Canaanite village before King David made it a Jewish city. About half the Canaanites were force to W. Jordan around the time of King Saul or King David and setup their own kingdom, the rest became Jewish. So some Palestinians and some Jews have Canaanite blood, both with some claim to the land. Canaanite writing with some Hebrew words was used in King David and King Solomon time and later was fountain of Hebrew writing.
