8. No apartheid - long history of humanitarian cooperation
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (12.05.10)
This is but one of many in a long history of cooperation between Jews and Arabs that goes on almost daily. Several years ago a building collapsed in Ramallah - Israel responded with an IDF rescue crew and firefighters. Almost daily there are traffic crashes on the roads of Judea and Samaria that are shared between Israelis and Palestinians (no, there is no separate highway system for "settlers"). The accidents are responded to by Israeli (Magen David Adom) and Palestinian (Red Crescent) ambulances whose crews work together to save lives. The Palestinians did indeed offer near the beginning to send assistance. The presence of Palestinian fire fighters shows that cooperation is there, while apartheid is not.

Maybe they where expecting (like the rest off the world) Israel had material to put the fire out. And they want to help 2 day's ago, so they didn't wait 3 days http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3993799,00.html even after settlers set fire at Palestine ground the same day. Respect for Palestine, exelent mentality.

16. #14 Controversial Ali in Aza
Ya'aqove ,   Northern Israel   (12.05.10)
Mots Arabs in Israel came from outside Israel at the same time as Jews REturned to their desolate homeland of 4000 years in mass exodus. The few that didnt come in the 20th century that identify as Arabs came from ther Arabian conquest 2,500 years AFTER the Jewish people had been in this land. Did it dawn on you that "you" the arab nationalistic movement are in fact the least known thief par excrellence when it comes to aggresively (Jihad) colonizing and occupying and destroying or oppressing native cultures and religions of: 1) North Africa Berbers, Copts 2) middle africa Black Africans 3) Israel- Jews and Druze 4) Levant- Kurds, Druze, Jews, Assyrians, Phoenicians (Christians)
17. How Many Firefighters Did Israel Send to
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (12.05.10)
Gaza to help extinguish the fires started by IDF bombs and phosphorous shells?
18. Ali Mt Cramel is in mentioned multiple times in the Hebrew
Ya'aqove ,   Northern Israel   (12.05.10)
Prophets and Kings testimonies (part of Tanach), written over 1500 years before the first Arabs invaded and occupied Israel. Speaking of thiefs! That said you are write about one thing here; names of places indicate who was here first; Jew or Arab (lets not forget the small fact you have 22 countries with land larger than US and China combined). Hows this... Almost all Arab towns and villages in Judea and Samaria have retained biblical Jewish names, thus reaffirming Jewish roots there. For example: * A-Dura is biblical (and contemporary) Adora'yim, site of King Rehoboam's and a Maccabees' fortress. * A-Ram is biblical Haramah, Prophet Samuel's birth and burial site. * Anata is biblical (and contemporary) Anatot, the dwelling of the Prophet Jeremiah. * Batir is biblical (and contemporary) Beitar, the headquarters of Bar Kochba, the leader of the Great Rebellion against the Roman Empire, which was crashed in 135CE. * Beit-hur is the biblical (and contemporary) Beit Horon, site of Judah the Maccabee's victory over the Assyrians. * Beitin is biblical (and contemporary) Bethel, a site of the Holy Ark and Prophet Samuel's court. * Bethlehem is mentioned 44 times in the Bible and is the birth place of King David. * Beit Jalla is biblical (and contemporary) Gilo, where Sennacherib set his camp, while besieging Jerusalem. * El-Jib is biblical (and contemporary) Gibeon, Joshua's battleground known for "Sun, stop thou in Gibeon and the moon in the valley of Ayalon," Joshua 10:12. * Hebron - named after Hevron, Moses' uncle and Levy's grandson — was King David's first capital for 7 years, the burial site of the 3 Jewish Patriarchs and 3 Jewish Matriarchs. * Jaba' is the biblical (and contemporary Geva, site of Jonathan's (son of King Saul) victory over the Philistines. * Jenin is the biblical (and contemporary) Ein Ganim, a Levite town within the tribe of Issachar. * Mukhmas is biblical (and contemporary) Mikhmash, residence of Jonathan the Maccabee and site of King Saul's fortress. * Seilun is biblical (and contemporary) Shilo, a site of Joshua's tabernacle and the Holy Ark and Samuel's youth. * Tequa' is biblical (and contemporary) Teqoah, hometown of the Prophet Amos and currently known for its home grown Ginger.
19. Many thanks
Mike ,   UK   (12.05.10)
Thanks for all your help, you are brave and deserve the utmost respect. How many Haredim came to help? Oh, the couldn't take off their black hats and coats? Shame on them.

22. Destruction of homes and lands
Samer ,   Ramallah   (12.05.10)
This is above any politics. Destruction of lands and homes and lives is very terrible tragedy. It is issue of humanity. I am proud the Palestinian firefighters have help and I send my regard for innocent Jews and Arabs of Israel who have suffer from affect of fire.
23. Not only names.
Also the ppl ,   are the same.   (12.05.10)
That's the saddest part of the story - Genetic markers of the "Palestinians" show above 70% of them, are actually descendants of Jews who converted to Islam. We are pre-destined to fight our brothers.
24. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.05.10)
You believe a lot of strange things. For example, don't you believe that Abraham bound Ishmael, and not Isaac? Very strange, particularly in light of the written record. Anyway -- the Arabs lost six wars and rejected no fewer than three opportunities for a two state solution. The question you SHOULD be asking is if you gamble and place your car on the bet, and then lose, is it the fault of the winner that you chose to gamble your car? No, it is your fault for having made a bad gamble. But the winner is under no obligation to give you back your car, nor to allow you to drive it. Stop feeling so sorry for yourselves. You are the architects of your situation. No one else.
25. Reply
Dave ,   Israel   (12.05.10)
Jesus don't be so goddamn negative, it's people like you that will keep us fighting each other for generations to come, it's always no, no, no with your type, grow up and appreciate the good they are doing and don't always look at the negative!
26. # 22 Samer
Ali ,   Gaza   (12.05.10)
Dear Samer..but what when Jews recently fired palestinians mosqes and Olive Trees intentionally !! is this also above political level ?
27. Doug in Rochester - how many Yank firemen in Iraq?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (12.05.10)
So Doug, you're telling us that you Americans sent hundreds of firefighters to Iraq to put out the fires you started when you invaded to get rid of the weapons of mass destruction? Why, how kind of you! Did you send in firemen to douse the flames when you Americans torched native American villages? Did you Americans send doctors to care for the native Americans you didn't slaughter? And tell us, Doug, how a successful settler like you living on stolen land tries to tell us not to use the American model of settlement and occupation? I don't know if you're in Rochester NY or in Minnesota, but both of them are built on stolen land and you are nothing more than an illegal settler. Are you moving back to Europe where you came from and giving your house back to its rightful owner?
28. NEVER JUDGE A WHOLE PEOPLE.....
Ian ,   ניוקאסטל אן טיין   (12.05.10)
....by their disgraceful rulers. Fatah are terrorists in uniforms. These are people like you and me in uniforms. Get rid of the wrong people in uniforms(and suits),and the peace and cooperation landscape will radically change for the better THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
29. Carmel is Arabic?? Puh-leeze..
Martin ,   New York   (12.05.10)
Carmel is Hebrew, right in the Bible written thousands of years before Mohammed was born: CARM EL--the vineyard of God..Now exactly how is this Arab?? Maybe King David was too??
30. #17 - how would have survived if they went to Gaza?
William ,   Israel   (12.05.10)
We all know the answer to this question. The "Palestinians" who sent firemen to help Israel knew they wouldn't be adversely targeted, and are perfectly safe while in Israel. Notice they came with no security detail indicating they know that the Israeli public would not lynch them. Conversely, Gazans sent "sick people" to hospitals to target patients and doctors inside Israel. Had firefighters entered Gaza, they'd be hanging from bridges and poles before the fire was ever touched. Such is the mentality of the animals that rule Gaza, who actually started most fires with their IEDs.
