1. Looks like we're not so isolated as we were afraid.
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (12.06.10)
If one good thing came from this fire, it's this wonderful help we got from so many countries, which came willingly, expediently, and no-strings-attached (except for you-know-who, whose Prime Minister had to ruin it with his comments). Hopefully we could build on this friendship and solidarity and leverage it for closer relations in other aspects as well. I wish to express one big thank-you to all countries who sent help!
2. To #1
M; Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (12.06.10)
It wouldn't surprise me, if some major "discount" for the rental of that supertanker were not found before it's all over. I'm sure I'm not the only person, who finds it just a little strange to make money from someone else's misfortune. Maybe the companie will settle for out of pocket expenses.
3. thank god
fady egypt   (12.06.10)
and thank to every one who has helped to put out that horrible fire they must be proud because israel is deserved to helped as it has helped many many countries around the world during natural disasters i believe also the israeli government has handled the disaster in a good manner and a good way despite the absence of the needed instruments god bless all who have helped in that and god bless israel and its PM BIBI
4. Yes, I must apologize
Yossef   (12.06.10)
for confusing the opinions of some hard-liner anti-Semites who made their nest here, on Ynet TalkBacks, and the rest of the world. I'll never forget. And surprisingly, the smallest countries, not the richest, were the first to come and help, so great!. We have more friends than we think, warm thank you friends, we owe you a lot today.
5. God bless you Fady
Yossef   (12.06.10)
6. To Tahl, Comment 1.
Adam Neira ,   Melb, Australia   (12.06.10)
The title of your comment is super insightful. You are a wise person ! Re. the Prime Minister;s words... “Perhaps something good will come of this disaster” Bibi...It will if we want it to. As PM of Israel you have a pivotal role to play. When certain dynamics present themselves it is vital to capitalise on them. Sometimes this involves just waiting, patience and trusting the universe. It can also involve direct contact, communication and movement between people. I think G-d has a plan for the Temple Mount, Jerusalem, the Holy Land and Planet Earth. But he needs his good people down here on terra firma to direct and act on his stage. There is so much potential in the relationships between all the nations for peace, stability, order, benevolence and expansiveness. Just like the prophecy of World Peace 2050 ! There is not much more terrible than death by fire. I think the Jewish people really need to reflect and act on what is going on right now. People seek sanctuary in good leadership. Prayers for the victims
7. to fady
Ann Ross   (12.06.10)

8. thank u
einat   (12.06.10)
its sooo heartwarming, a big thank you to all the nations and people who helped and supported and to those who expressed kind words
9. A phoenix rose out of the ashes
Cynic #2   (12.06.10)
and this phoenix is a clear message to Israel. In the hour of need, people are basically human and even adversaries come to assist. The lesson is really for the government of Israel and its politicians to stop being blindfolded by arrogance and greed. There are many good Samaritans in the world, but they are not necessarily Jewish.
10. #3
(12.06.10)
fady from egypt thank you so very much on behalf of all the israeli people, both jews and arabs. it is refreshing as an israeli and a jew to hear someone from egypt with a very humane and nice message for the israeli people. it is not often that we hear from arab neighbors nice words and sympathy. you must be really special. thanks again from ll of us in israel for your wishes and concerns.
11. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
Mohmed ,   Alexandria, Egypt   (12.06.10)
FINALLY THE TRAGEDY IS OVER AND IM SO HAPPY IT'S OVER ISRAEL HAS SEEN MANY NATIONS ON IT'S SIDE AND IM PROUD EGYPT WAS ONE OF THEM IT'S TIME NOW TO RECONSTRUCT HAIFA AND TO FIX THE DAMAGE ISRAEL IS THE BEST SHALOM FROM EGYPT
12. #2 M. Hartley
(12.06.10)
Renting fire-fighting aircraft when you need them is an alternative to buying the aircraft outright. Other countries and US states sometimes rent that particular aircraft when they have forest fires. Theres nothing ''strange'' about it !!
13. #2 M. Hartley ??!!
Mat ,   USA   (12.06.10)
um..why exactly ? The company makes its living doing what it just did in Israel. What sort of person would want to screw them down in price to the point where they are working for nothing.? The pilots from other countries were paid by the taxpayers of those countries. The Supertanker is not owned by the US. taxpayer - Its privately owned.
14. Thank you & G-D Bless to All the Nations who helped!
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.06.10)
And thank you G-D for answering the prayers of so many; there were no more deaths. And thank you G-D for the terrible fire dying down.
15. YOUR WORDS HAVE TOUCHED MY HEART
NG ,   Riverside, USA   (12.06.10)
I will pray for you Fady. I will pray also that others will feel compassion for others in distress regardless of their race or politics, just as you have felt compassion for the Jewish state. Regards from a Mexican-American-Jew.

Jane   (12.06.10)
Fady, may your blessed voice echo throughout the region so that brotherhood will win, as G-d wishes.
17. G-d bless fady again!
kevin ,   reno, NV USA   (12.06.10)
What a sweet post! And G-d bless those brave people that came to help Israel in their time of need. Be assured that G-d will bless you also!
18. To everyone from near and far....
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (12.06.10)
...who rushed to help us in our time of need ... a big heart felt..... THANK YOU...
19. #1 Tahl
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (12.06.10)
Erdogan's recent comments only underscore how grudgingly he sent us help. It would put him and Turkey in a shocking light if he hadn't. When you consider the many times Israel's been the first on the scene forTurkish earthquakes, it would have been a massive international and domestic 'faux pas' for them just to sit and watch. Better would have been to keep his gob shut....but then...that would have worried his pals in Gaza, Damascus and Teheran..and the fat git in the Beirut bunker. I'm hoping it was a Turkish Army ultimatum that caused Erdogan to 'do the right thing'.
20. Great! But...
Rafi ,   US   (12.06.10)
... please be ready for future fires & episodes. The drought continues and just think what condition the region's vegetation will be in by next summer if little rain falls this winter!
21. Where is the help from India.
jason Jacob ,   toronto, canada   (12.06.10)
israel is 1st trade business partner with india in defence. So now when israel is in need where have they been, not even a word of help or sorry. Must really think over this policy, maybe it is one way.
22. Number 2
Tom. L ,   deep south   (12.06.10)
What number 1 is saying is that (1) Turkey is the only country that sent help with strings attached, ie they want us to apologise for the flotilla of terrorists they sent us this year. The amount of money that needs to be paid over to the super tanker has to be paid as this was NOT aid from a country, but rather, an American private company that rents out the super tanker to municipalities and countries facing fire (a private business). So yes, two countries want things in return for their help; the American company needs to be paid in full, and the Turkish Government who must not receive an apology from Israel, seeing as Israel has nothing to apologise for. Anyways... To all the others...Thank you World for all the help
23. bless them for the good work,
ghostq   (12.06.10)

24. thank you all!!

25. Everyone did a GREAT job - Bibi included!
Talula ,   Israel   (12.06.10)
I was touched to my very soul to hear how some countries came to our assistance. It's nice to know that life is more important than politics. Thank you to all those wonderful and amazing heros - those that are here, and those that we lost.
26. #3 - Fady - you rock my world : )

(12.06.10)
to all the countries that helped us, all the pilots and firefighters! Also to the Palestinian Authority for sending 3 fire engines. It was heartwarming to see them arrive and thank you! from a Carmel resident.
