ghostq   (12.08.10)
I have a feeling that Asad will be the one who will pull the triger on him after paranoia attack, he will suspect nasralla of undermining his power, and than more power struggle monge hizb guys who will be his heir, bloddy messy stuff, but terrorists never sleep well at night and constant look over their sholders, now pass me the pop corn.
2. and Some wonder WHY Palestine is not liberated untill now !!
Salma ,   Palestine   (12.08.10)
It's not surprising hidden agendas .
3. fairy tale
olavi ,   espoo, finland   (12.08.10)
The arab forces able to fight againts armed enemies are fairy tales.
4. I agree with you on this one, Salma
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (12.08.10)
Indeed "Palestine" is not free because of your leaders' hidden agenda - to liberate ALL of "Palestine" (including Haifa, Tel Aviv, etc), by all possible means. When we gave you our extended hand for peace in Oslo, your Arafat only gave us blood and terror in reutrn. To this day we regret the horrible mistake we have so foolishly done - to trust you people. And this is why 17 years later, your "Palestine" is still not liberated. At least now, your hidden agenda is no longer hidden.
5. Salma go to live in iran !

7. confused
NZ ,   bob   (12.08.10)
Can anyone explain why the US invaded Iraq? I'm more confused than ever now. My impression was that Iraq fought Iran for 8 years or so on behalf of the rich Sunni states like Saudi Arabia who were scared of Iran. It now seems clear that everyone in the ME was/is scared of Iran. The US must have understood this, but inspite of it they went in and took out Iraq which under Saddam Hussein was a counter to Iranian ambitions. Turkey and some arab allies of the US told the US not to invade Iraq so why did the US ignore the advice? As far as I know Israel wasn't calling on the US to attack Iraq. I'm not being sarcastic- I'm interested in trying to understand the situation. better from people who actually live in the region
8. #2 Salma, going by the cables you'd wonder
(12.08.10)
if the arab states have even heard of Israel, let alone the Palestinians. They are consumed by bigger problems. . ..their own survival for a start. I wouldn't put much faith in the Iranians being driven by much more than naked self-interest either. I feel sorry for you. I think you are being manipulated from all directions.
9. #2 how can palestine be liberated
Jrodstein ,   Basalt, Colorado   (12.08.10)
when there has never been a nation palestine?!?!? liberate your brain and learn something beside hate and propaganda.
10. Salma #2
EZ   (12.08.10)
Palestine is liberated. It's a remarkable story, actually. The only indigenous population driven off it's land that has ever managed to fight it's way back and reclaim the land. Once, I met an Assyrian Christian in Germany who told me that the Assyrians will one day free their land from Arab occupation. I wished him best of luck. Salma, you're the colonist. One way or another, either you or your children will have to find your way back to the land of your origin.
11. Ben Gurion Knew All About Arab "Armies"
Arik Silverman ,   Milwaukee USA   (12.08.10)
And what he knew was confirmed in 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973. Considering how well Hezbollah did against IDF, the Arabs would be crushed. What does a Saudi King know beyond Lawrence of Arabia? The only "victories" for the Arabs would be death and destruction from their airplanes. Oh wait, didn't IDF have airplanes? Those airplanes didn't destroy Hezbollah, but they turned a lot of Christian Lebanese against Israel. Maybe it would not be a bad thing for a loony crackpot Saudi King to have more Arab enemies.
12. Salma

15. #13 Of Course We're Important : )
Salma ,   Palestine   (12.08.10)
our Importance is not tied if Arab leaders care for us or no, they barely care for their own people! our importance WE who impose it on the whole world.
16. #9. Now now No 9!
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (12.08.10)
True there may not be a Nation of Palestine but that doesnt negate the justification for a Nation Sate of a displaced people (ring familiar?) Brought together by a common desire to make East and West Palestine their homeland (ring familiar?) By George No 9....Weve got alot more in common than you think! The solutions are attainable - its a question of desire and commitment on both sides What we ALL should be doing ON BOTH SIDES is to urge, provoke and demand that the talking continues - By George No 9....Weve got alot more in common than you think!
17. I LOVE THE INTRIGUE
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (12.08.10)
Agendas within agendas, who knows what's going on. It's not surprising that all these countries hate Iran. They know what life will be like with Iran in control. First the leaders of all these countries would either be dead or in exile. Nobody wants to give up their fiefdom. As I said all along Israel is just a convenient scapegoat. Remember in Gulf War 1 Bush Sr. asked Israel not to join because the Arab armies couldn't be seen fighting along side the Jewish people and state. Now in reality Israel supplied all kinds of logistic support in secret, they just couldn't supply troops or visible air support. But the fact remains that Israels enemies are same as the Saudi's, Jordan, Egypt and many others.
18. #11 Perhpas I'm jumping to wild conclusions here, Arik
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (12.08.10)
But it appears from the stance of your post, with all your lies and distortions, that you are much more sympathizing with terrorist Hizbullah than with the IDF, or the moderate Arab regimes. Is that really the case, or am I mistaken? If this is really so, that would make you either a terror-supporting Shiite Arab in disguise, or one of those extreme-leftist, self-loathing-Chomsky-type Jews. Either way, America should vomit creatures like you.
19. SALMA go to live in Iran
(12.08.10)

20. to #15 not realy, the only connection
ghostq   (12.08.10)
to the arabs world is by donation, but soon lokal arab people will find out that the money should go to them, or Saudi will start give loans and not handouts.
21. Next Hadj a major security problem. which looka uncontaian
Roland Seener ,   London England   (12.08.10)
Will Saudi Arabia Security Arrangements be able to contain co-religionists Re Hizbola,Fateh,Al Quaida,Taliban to eternity bent on trouble ?IThis is the central issue of the area which needs external intervention to assure stability.Oil prices and fluctuation in rates of exchange are factors which dictate this pragmatic response. In other words who can sit by and see the collapse of the world economy without justifying intervention?Peace during the Hadj means Peace for the World ! But who is going to guarantee it ?
22. this is one saudi plan the US wont be embracing to much
zionist forever   (12.08.10)
Already US soldiers are trying to fight a war on terror in Afghanistan which is not going well & they have only just got out of Iraq. I can't see Obama being in to much of a hurry to go into Lebanon to fight Hizbollah who are probably better armed & better trained than anything they have been fighting in Afghanistan or Iraq. Hizbollah also have small cells in the US itself so if they sent soldiers into Lebanon to go after Hizbollah then there is a good chance they will activate these people to carry out terror attacks in the US itself. If the US sent soldiers they risk increasing support for Hizbollah. The soldiers would be accused of being sent there t protect Israel which makes them fair game for attacks. The Saudis themselves risk being seen as traitors wanting to fight the brave defenders of Lebanon to protect the zionist entity. UNFIL are useless and as long as they are only trying to stop Hizbollah getting weapons they will be tolerated. As soon as they start trying to disarm them or hunting down their leaders they will become targets. This plan risks creating chaos in Lebanon and increasing terror attacks in other countries and I hope Obama has the courage to stand up to the Saudis instead of bowing down and tells them we won't back this plan.
23. Arab hypocracy
Rami of nAzareth ,   Israel   (12.08.10)
If Hizballa is a threat to arabs, then they should put together a military force and kick hizballa hout of lebanon. No need for the UN or American to do the job for them
