1. Shameful Israelis of today
David ,   USA/Israel/Egypt   (12.10.10)
400 Israelis show up today for Shalit's rights. 4000 Israelis show up for Arab's rights.
2. This should have taken place four years ago and continuing
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (12.10.10)
instead of protesting in front of the prime minister residents - first Olmert's and now Netanjahu's - neither one abducted Shalit and both of whom, regardless of political orientation, has done all that they can to bring him back home from the hands of the thugs who captured him on Israel's soil and caged him like an animal for all of this time. In addition to the International Red Cross, demonstrations should also be held in front, and pressure place upon the United Nations in New York and the Arab League in Cairo. The Red Cross, United Nations and the Arab League are the organizations that must stand for Shalit's immediate and unconditional release, and ALL NGOs dealing with human rights must apply the pressure on these three bodies!!
3. Activists
Ezra ,   Florida   (12.10.10)
These what ynet calls "activists" are just human s with a heart. They just want Gilad Shalit out of captivity, rightfully so. But the big question is: What is an organization, professing "human rights" whose president said: "If we accept Magen David intyo the international Red Cross, we might as well accept the swastika" doing inoffices the have in Tel Aviv? Just get the hell out of Israel, you nazis!!!
4. You just need to pity him,
Salma ,   Palestine   (12.10.10)
then Gilad will be released !

9. I agree #1!!!

Just disgusting! Israelis should know who their friends are!! Get Shalit out already!! Pathetic.
10. Give me your dead, your wounded, your lost soles
josef   (12.10.10)
that was the red cross, the red crescent for the last few hundred years. Like everything else, things change. Please do not disturb the red cross or the red crescent today. They have decided unanimously to make a dramatic change in their operations during hostilities. Carrying dead and wounded bodies in an ambulace is a dangerous, ungrateful, and not very rewarding business operation. On a trial basis, they were induced ( $$$$ ) to carry one, then two, then a load of missiles, rockets,(Vikileak proved it) and other explosives, amo, etc. under the noses of UNIFIL, the UN ---it was a complete success -- filmed by the IDF. Caught in the act,the glorious forces of fair law and order enforcement called it a " fabrication " We all know that the UN and Unifil NEVER LIE ! ! !
11. Don't hold your breath
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (12.10.10)
Hamas commits literally thousands of war crimes...when you average it out over the last 4-5 years...every year. But it doesn't matter to the International community. It's always been OK when it's against Israel. There has never been 1 UN resolution condemning the rocket and mortars attacks almost all against civilian targets, ever. Not One!! When you think about it, it's unbelievable. But true. So I won't expect much about this. After all there still worried and whining about the phony flotilla, for the Non-crisis, with ships that had outdated medicine and almost no useful aid whatsoever, for a mythological people that didn't need it.
12. I partly agree
Nimrod ,   Mexico   (12.10.10)
I agree that it not as big as it should be but you shouldn't compare to the human rights for the arabians because both are very important and I want to believe that more will come to both events. Both should have a large number and who gets more attendence is not important it only important that both will get the attention of everyone
13. Gilad should never forgive Israeli gov't; move away
Whack World ,   USA   (12.10.10)
When he's freed (if someone outside of Israel can acheive that because the impotent Israeli gov't FAILED so abysmally), I would NOT blame Gilad if he NEVER forgave or trusted his country again. There were no real attempts made to free this poor man, whos already lost the best years of his life which is tantamount to murder. That means blood on the hands of every Israeli politician (esp the arab MKs who could have persuaded his release instead of participating in the flotilla). If he is freed, he should leave Israel until it decides to be a decent place rather than a bunch of machers and moochers who cut deals for peace and ignore the plight of the nations vision (which is notably absent for several decades). Israel has not only failed itself, it failed the Jews, setting a horrible example of greed, corruption and beauracrazy. I have to agree with much of the more intelligent analysts on Israel's current state: it is in rapid decay: due for a financial melt-down (bubble pop(s)) and moral and societal destruction. Watching Israel on the news is like watching a horror film: the demise (demons) that await it are all too real and the saddest thing of all is that it was done by Jewish hands...not even the palis who've been dispicable in and of themselves (they too will amount to zero). Its pitiful to come to realize the highest probability that we Jews will have to settle for permenant exile or living as the most hated people in the world....due to our own stupidity, greed, arrogance, deal-making mentality and outright theft of fellow Jews and non-Jews throughout the world. Sorry to sound so tough but its reached a place now where no one can protect Israel any longer: it was the saddest failure in world history (3 times). It is utterly heart breaking. Guess 2,000 years in europe did too much damage? Who knows. I'm resigned.
14. Sum total of islamic culture
Erudite ,   Australia   (12.10.10)
Another fine example of Arab ethics. Now tell me that peace can be achieved between a civilized culture and a genetically deficient interloping barbarians
15. To # 13
Gail ,   Israel   (12.11.10)
It is not only Gilad who should never forgive Israel, Talking as an Israeli Mom I will never forgive the gov for the way they look after our sons serving in the army. It could of been my son that is serving now or my other kids that will serve (against my better judgment) in fact my list of things never to forgive has more then just Gilads name on it ..but I will not move away I love my land and I love my people this is my home just as it is Gilad's. It is very sad that we are loyal to a country that is not loyal to us..it is very sad that we are willing to serve and die for a country that is not willing to do the same for us. I am sure that when Gilad gets home (i hope and pray) he will never want to leave again but he will never forgive ...of that I am sure. The way I cope with this conflict inside is to understand that it is not the country doing this to us it is the government. A weak government with strong warrior citizens
16. This is Where Protest Belongs
Christy ,   Boston, US   (12.11.10)
The Red Cross, UN, Foreign Embassies, Various Human Rights' Groups buildings - the rallies for G. Shalit should target these entities. Much better than protesting any of Israel's leaders - which makes no sense at all unless the rallies are asking for Israeli Military strikes to free Shalit.
17. To Nimrod from Mexico
David ,   USA/Israel/Egypt   (12.11.10)
Rubbish!!!! Jewish Israelis should not worry about Arab rights who fly the Palestinian flag and call themselves Palestinians, they should move where their heart is. Further more try to fly an Israeli flag in Egypt, Syria or Iran and demand for your rights. You must be living in lala land
18. Sarah ! Don't let Salma
David ,   USA/Israel/Egypt   (12.11.10)
get to you. She is on the Haaretz payroll Club
19. #11
mig ,   finland   (12.11.10)
Hamas commits literally thousands of war crimes...when you average it out over the last 4-5 years...every year. ++++ Its too bad but under international law its legal to fight against occupier with arms. But it doesn't matter to the International community. It's always been OK when it's against Israel. There has never been 1 UN resolution condemning the rocket and mortars attacks almost all against civilian targets, ever. Not One!! When you think about it, it's unbelievable. But true. ++++ Why UN cant make a single resolution to condemn pale attacks ? Well, answer is easy, first you have to be a member of UN. Its pretty difficult to do something against some who is not of the member of that organization.
20. #19; mig, and the excuse makers
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (12.11.10)
attacks against civilians is against all International Law, it's called terrorism not "resistance", that is simply the euphemism for terrorism used by murderers. I'm surprised...well, maybe not... you would defend it. Tell us what is a "pale attack"? Is that one that just kills 21 kids and teenagers? Eating pizza at their teen hangout? Impressive "resistance", for cowards! Nobody ever can convince people like you mig, or Ali, or whatever your name is. Your wrong, since even the UN Goldstone report as bias as it was had some mild condemnation of Hamas and the Palestinians. You see using their people as human shields is a war crime, hiding weapons in hospitals, schools and Mosques are war crimes. Dressing as civilians in war (to confuse your enemy is using human shields), is a war crime, when done to confuse an army you have declared war on. Using ambulances to deliver troops and weapons during war is a war crime, The list goes on, but what's the point with people like yourself. So save your weak befuddled excuses. People like you are sad and sick apologists.
21. #18 and you are on lying payroll Club !
Salma ,   Palestine   (12.11.10)
22. Gilad is dead or gone insane by now.
Peter ,   London.   (12.11.10)
23. Calling Christians to Rally for Gilad
Sue Rivello ,   USA   (12.12.10)
Christians join me in prayer for Gilad Shalit. Scripture says the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty to the pulling down of strongholds...what man won't or can't do the G-d of Israel can. Hamas is an evil stronghold that needs to be pulled down. Pray with me that G-d will make a way for this young Israeli soldiers release from the bondage he is in and be returned safely to his family and that G-d will be given all the glory.
