Outside financial aid to Israel has allowed Israel to exist as an island state in the Middle-East, not needing the help or friendship of surrounding nations/states to survive. The armaments and financial support of the U.S. and other entities has allowed Israel to live in almost total alienation and even hostility to it's neighbors and non-Jewish people living within Israel. There may come a day when Israel must depend on the friendship and trust of the nations which surround it.....why not start building those friendships now? There is no guarantee that outside aid to Israel will continue indefinitely. Israel must make friendships now. This will take great trust and faith. Why live by the sword when we can live by love?
