Dee ,   Tel Aviv   (12.13.10)
Report anyone who rents to someone who doesn't follow Judaism?
32. Vigilantism
MK Ultra ,   Camaguey, Cuba   (12.13.10)
Way to go! What better way to spread racism than thru vigilantism? And if memory serves me right this was something encouraged in Germany Circa 1930s. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
33. Sounds like...
John Mohammad ,   USA   (12.14.10)
let's see, what was the term I was looking for? OH, I remember now- 1936 NUREMBERG LAWS. Oh how tragic it is when the oppressed become the oppressors- but at least you know where to go for the best information on what programs you're implementing. I hope the IDF is getting a crash course in how to say "Your papers" in Arabic- you know, just to complete the scene.
34. Informers
Strawman ,   Texas US   (12.14.10)
This story reminds me that in the 1930's and 40's, German citizens used to hide Jews. The fact is that such actions were illegal but some Germans did it because it was the right thing to do. Will we see similar cases of Jews renting or housing Palestinians just because it is the right thing to do?

Hans.L ,   Leeuwarden   (12.14.10)
Items like these were in German and Occupied nations newspapers published between 1938 and 1945. Only difference, it was because of Jewish people.
36. Rabbis' letter on halachic ruling against renting to Arabs
Udvarias Ur ,   MontrĂ©al, Canada   (12.17.10)
I feel, whole heartedly, that what '...50 prominent rabbis..." claim to be halacha, is not. Exodus 12:49 There shall be one law for the citizen and for the stranger who dwells among you. Exodus 22:20 You shall not wrong a stranger or oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. Exodus 23:9 You shall not oppress a stranger, for you know the feelings of the stranger, having yourselves been strangers in the land of Egypt. Isaiah 42:6 I the Lord, in My grace, have summoned you, And I have grasped you by the hand. I created you, and appointed you A covenant people, a light of nations. So this ruling, which is claimed to be halachic, I don't care by by how many Rabbis or how prominent they are, runs contrary to Torah and therefore, if you accept Torah to be the 'word of G-d,' G-d's law.
