The amount of antisemitism in the world is directly proportional to the number of Ynet talkbacks produced by Sarah B. On this page alone we have her hinting that this case of cultural misunderstanding is in fact just one more incident in a long list of horrors stretching back to the holocaust and beyond. We have her fuming against Christians as ''cannibals'' and extolling the natural superiority of her own religion Judaism. We have more of her endless stream of sarcastic put-downs of anyone who dares to disagree with her about anything. It gets worse every day. Most kids go to public schools where religion is not taught at all. So unless the kids parents are church goers ( not many are ) the child will grow up with little knowledge of any religion, Christian or otherwise. Jewish culture is not studied much, if at all, in schools because society is made up mostly of Asians, Pacific Islanders, Maori and Europeans. Those cultures are the ones which would be studied in ''civics'' classes Only about a tenth of one percent of the population is Jewish. Still after this debacle you can be sure that many kiwis have heard of tefillin. A NZ rabbi has handled the situation very well and soothed the situation.
