he had one chance and failed. do u think a 2nd time will be easier???? any HONEST person cannot run the party.
3. Baraks not the problem left wing policy is
zionist forever   (12.15.10)
The country is sick of the left and their promises and failures. BIbis government isn't great but its better than Kadima and all the polls show that Labor & Kadima would loose seats at the next election and its parties like Yisrael Beitanu who would pick up more. Labor needs to move away from its traditional left wing ideals and become more of a centrerist party. The old days when the government owned everything are long gone. The left wing policies on how to deal with the palestinians, Syria and Iran have all failed and anybody who doesn't recognise that needs to stay out of politics. Mitzna may or may not make a good leader only time will tell that but unless he changes the parties economic and political direction the party will be confined to the history books along with all the other parties that have come and gone over the years and Kadima will replace Labor as the leading left wing party.
4. An honest leader
sybil shapiro ,   Tel aviv Israel   (12.15.10)
the present government ---far away from left wing ideals -certainly has not proved very successful in any way . I say give Mitzna a second chance .the people will be happy to have an honest leader at last. Optimist
5. Unilateral Withdrawal
Zichron   (12.16.10)
Mitznah favored unilateral withdrawal and is not cunning or ruthless enough for fighting the islamic world with its superiority complex and desire for a world islamic califate . Barak is still a genius ben eliezer is crude and rough.
6. mitzna
gawain   (12.16.10)
yes he probably is a good man, as far as politicians go, but "save labor"??!!! what for! of who cares? of course, it means something to ben eleazer and the 133 or so others that still believe, post barak, in the relevancy of that party, but what in the world makes his any better than the any of the other wannabees, ben eliezer included, that call themselves the party's leaders?
7. Labor and Mitzna??
jerry ,   Jerusalem,Israel   (12.16.10)
The only thing that will save the Labor Party, is for it to unite with the Kadima Party. As for Mitzna being the savior for Ben Eliezar's party.....yes he may appear honest, but since when is that a prerequsite to be a successful and popular Israeli Prime Minister.
8. Labor's answer comes in two forms
Golan ,   Modiin   (12.16.10)
When Labor is in the throws of death it does one of two things: 1. change party name (it works for the league of nations/UN council on human rights/human rights council why not another leftist disaster?) 2. get a failed politician from 5-10 years ago and pretend he is a "new" answer and messiah. (it worked with Ben-Gurion/Rabin/Peres/Barak why not Mitzna?)
