Anti-tank weapon was rehearsed only. When it comes to actual war,the actual penetration will be known better :)
32. ONLY TWO WAYS IN FOR MISSILES
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (12.21.10)
The first way is via Israel and that's not very likely. The other way is via Egypt. It's about time that Israel insists that the Egyptian government lives up to its responsibilities under the 1979 Peace Treaty. It's also about time that the US administration lives up to its guarantees to Israel and forces Egypt to comply. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
33. #32 Mahmood : Voice of doom!
Hal ,   Usa   (12.21.10)
Missed you Mood. Were you at summer camp in Pakistan? When it comes to actual war, Israel will crush these idiots and pizza mechanics such as yourself will cry rivers of crocodile tears for the poor helpless Palestinians and the civilian deaths. For every escalation [Kornet missles] by Hamas will dictate an escalation by the IDF. Don't be so happy to cheer on the stupidity of Hamas as they like you care nothing for their citizens welfare, only new and more powerful ways to force Israel to step harder on their [Hamas] throats. Hope you are OK after the security sweep in the UK! :-))
34. to #6 Howie you do not know anything
jason white ,   afula,israel   (12.21.10)
First of all the Merkava has the best armor and protection for the tank crews. You read that the crew was not injured. The I.D.F. lost tanks not from TOWs, but from saggers. They did better in the north, because they had more experience against those anti tank missiles. I wonder if the tanks was not protected by the Trophy anti tank missile system due to not enough money being provided by the treasury? Maybe they should tie on managers and workers from the min of treasury to each tank as extra protection, There is always money for the hara-dim and other draft dodgers.

The IAF does not use FA-18's and the S-300 is never coming. But we did give Indonesia permission to acquire S-300 and Iskander BM, modified cones design, to go along with their nuclear reactor and enrichment facilities. lol

How else do you think I keep the boats coming from Indonesia.

International Law gives the right of self defense, especially against enemies bent on annihilation, as Israel finds itself. The legal status of the area is DISPUTED and has never been adjudicated by a court of law. Organizations like the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the UN and EU, political groups, and some governments regard the area as "occupied" by Israel, without determining to whom it belongs; the question of its sovereignty is moot, subject to negotiation.
38. Fire a rocket at the UN

For every rocket fired by the de facto UN government in GAZA, fire a rocket at a UN target, anywhere in the world
39. Rod #30 I stand corrected
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (12.21.10)
The US did face the Kornet in 2003 and Wikapedia is wrong. http://www.asiantribune.com/news/2003/03/31/pentagon-claims-iraq-secretly-bought-1000-kornet-missiles The 3/7th Cavalry lost 2 tanks to them. As for the moron who calls itself 'observer'. I am American born - former US Army warrant officer. I served in the US Army for 9 years - five as a Warrant Officer. So tell us all about your military career. I am also a retired IDF Artillery officer with another 21 years of service. So tell me about this loyal issue you claim.

Exactly word to word. You may make a note of that.
41. Yellow Leaders
Dan ,   USA   (12.21.10)
Israel's leaders seem to whine more and more and retaliate less and less. Israel's founders are turning over in their graves in shame.
42. #39 you served as cannon fodder and lost US citizenship
observer   (12.22.10)
you idiot served as cannon fodder People who go through US naturalization are required to state under oath that they are renouncing their old citizenship. Then, why do the American-Israeli keep secret that reciprocal renouncing when they acquire the Israeli citizenship? of course there are Israeli-Americans who served in the US army or CIA. The US State Department generally no longer minds that a citizen uses his old country's passport when traveling there to visit. But, does the US State Department does not mind if that person is recruited in that country's army? Current US law says that foreign military service will result in loss of US citizenship if the person served as an officer (commissioned or non-commissioned) or the foreign military force is engaged in hostilities against the US; the service was voluntary; and (most importantly) the person intended to give up his US citizenship. Unless a dual citizen is serving in a "policy level position" in a foreign government, commits treason against the US (e.g., by fighting the US voluntarily during wartime), or acts in a manner considered totally inconsistent with any possible intent to keep US citizenship. If you ask them if you ought to become a dual citizen, they will recommend against doing it; but if you tell them you are a dual citizen, they'll almost always say it's OK.
43. #42 Observer
Solomon ,   Bklyn   (12.22.10)
Your facts are not entirely correct. The US recognizes dual citizenship. You can lose your citizenship if you show intent to do so by 1. Voting in an election 2. Running in an election for high office 3. Volunteering for the armed forces. You must show that you were conscripted. All Israeli army draftees start at the bottom. If one is picked as officer material along the way, he/she must undergo a battery of tests. If passed, the soldier is sent to officer school. We do not know #39's situation, but he was probably drafted after he was in Israel for 3-1/2 yrs and then told to go to officers school after basic training. (If you enter Israel as a temporary resident, after 3-1/2 years you are declared a citizen and drafted. If you decline the citizenship, you are declared a permanent resident...and drafted.)

46. #14 the Entebbe was staged
observer   (12.22.10)
It was designed to torpedo the rival Palestine Liberation Organization's standing in France and to prevent what they saw as a growing rapprochement between the PLO and the Americans. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1553246/Israeli-agents-'helped-Entebbe-hijackers'.html
47. Observer - the 1st to believe any lie about Israel.
Steve ,   UK   (12.22.10)
Observer, you don't half talk some crap. You are the first to believe any lie when it comes to Israel or the Jews. What are you pretending to be now... is it a closet Mormon, as at the beginning - when you used that religion to attack Israel; or are you now 'coming out' as the true Muslim and Israel hater that you are.
48. Observer
Steve ,   UK   (12.22.10)
The Telegraph reports says that 'one person heard it from another' and then passed it on.... hearsay and hatred for political purposes. Hyperbole and such which always serves those who hate the Jews and their state. The methods adopted by Amin and the PLO against the Jews at Entebbe followed were in line with those of the Holocaust. Of course Holocaust deniers either deny the Holocaust took place, deny its size, or believe the Jews were explicit in that too. Just check out the doctorate of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. The fact that the Palestinian leadership of 1948 threatened to finish what Hitler started is trodden underfoot as is any factual history that isn't expedient to your own hatred and agenda.
49. #44, #45 Observer

Oh, we're scared. You're not an 'Observer'. You are a 'Denier'.

Golani ,   Vineland, USA   (12.22.10)
I guess you have not read the papers for the past several years, but Israel does not occupy Gaza, and in fact, Israel has given up most of the West Bank and does not occupy what is under the PA. You should read more. The only thing that I dislike more than terrorists are ignorant people.
51. Jo, # 27
Golani ,   Vineland, USA   (12.22.10)
Wow, another ingnorant person! Israeli does not shoot Palestinian civilians & children. I served in a combat unit and standing orders are ALWAY to avoid civilan shootings. Incidents of anythng but are punishable. Do the Palestinian terrorists punish their own when Israeli civilians are killed? No, they celebrate. Are there accidents where civilians are killed? Of course, when you are a terrorist and you fight next to civilians or use them as shields, of course there are tragic accidents. The solution is to stop terrorism. Now, my final question: Do you have any concept of the real situation? Obviously no.
52. #48 do u have evidence that Ugandans helped the kidnappers?
observer   (12.22.10)
Their nightmare is that... one will witness the imposition in the Middle East of a Pax Americana (American Peace), which will be to the advantage of the PLO (who will gain international respectability and perhaps the right to establish a state on evacuated territories) and to the disadvantage of the Refusal Front (who will be squeezed right out in any overall peace settlement and will lose their raison d'etre) and Israel who will be forced to evacuate occupied territory. Hence the unholy alliance of the hijacking.
53. Hi friends from Gaza we are comeing
