1. A Kurd with so much love for Jews
Al   (12.22.10)
Although he is a citizen of Republic of Turkiye, he is a Kurd from the eastern city of Kars. For years Kurdish religious and political leaders have been saying that 'goyim' means 'animals' and 'Jews consider all non-Jews as animals.' Many more anti-Semitic materials have been published in Kurdish papers with pictures and quotes of Israeli rabbis, and have been talked over and over in Kurdish mosques. Violence is nothing new for Kurds as they don't even hesitate to murder their daughters for Kurdish honour killings. It is ironic to read talkbackers supporting Kurds. It is obvious that they have no knowledge of IHH, which is an organization of mainly Kurds and Kavkaz people in Turkiye.
2. 1. Kurds participated in the Genocide against the armenians
David ,   sf-usa   (12.22.10)
They were used as death squads by the Turkish military against innocent women, children and the old in eastern Turkey, (the armenian men had already been conscripted into the Turk army, taken out and murdered), so they could not protect their families. 13 members of my own family were murdered in Kars. To be fair, there were Kurds (and even some Turks) who helped these victims escape Turkey, including what was left of my family. During the genocide, they would sit around campfires roasting the skulls of victims to remove their gold tooth fillings. The Kurds recently admitted their involvement in mass-murder. Be careful who you support, it's no surprise (to us) that they would now attack you. I know that you can't build a Church in Turkey but when was the last time a synogogue was built there?
3. To 2 Ottoman Empire tried to secure Armenians
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (12.22.10)
In fact Armenians armed groups started to commit massacres in Kurdish villages, As Kurdish people in East was Tribes each tribe started to kill Armenians for revenage, even today there are such bloody frictions if one of tribe members was killed Ottoman Empire forced immigration of Armenian from the region Ottoman Empire was in War and could not do anything else to set off such wide-spread ethnic violence And many kurds noticed Marmara massacre who were mostly kurdish origin. But still Turkish police has a tradition of forced confession, some time they have a list and you should choose crimes from their list -Either you accept your intention to kill this and that from their prepared list or you get harsh treatment.
4. "Jewish rabbis"?
Jeff ,   Washington DC   (12.23.10)
Are there rabbis who aren't Jewish?
5. 3. Tayfun, where did you learn your Turkish History?
David ,   sf-usa   (12.23.10)
Under turkish sharia law, a muslim could attack (even kill) any "infidel" without legal repercussions-and that's what they did. The Kurds had constantly attacked the Armenians and your Govt. would do nothing. Of course they tried to defend themselves but it was because of these attacks they retaliated. You would do the same. There was nothing the armenians wanted from the Kurds except to be left alone. Do you have any idea what happened to Constantinople when you invaded and occupied their country in 1453? The administrators were dragged around town by their entrails, their libraries burned to the ground. Do you know that the genocide against armenians started in Adana, where 250,000 were murdered? Can you name 1 group of people who didn't resent Ottoman Occupation? Even the arabs revolted against you. Do you know what happened to the armenians and greeks in Smyrna (Izmir), where your troops lit their homes on fire with petrol and drowned captives in the waters off shore? Have you seen the extermination orders issued against the armenians and signed by your Interior Minister against all armenians over the age of 5 (later amended to include ALL armenians)? I could go on for hours and dump a 2 foot stack of documentation on your desk. Turkey committed genocide against its christian minorities to create a greater "pan-turanic" State-the evidence is overwhelming and excuses like the one you presented are not believed by educated people. Still, I don't blame you for not knowing this because you were probably educated in a State school where this information was expunged from your history. I've been told that our family had some good turkish friends in the past and look forward to a resolution between our peoples so we can move forward,so, I'll just end this by wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas.
6. Al #1 and David #2
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (12.23.10)
Similarly Arabs also do not have much love for Turks in fact deep down they hate Turks but recently Turkiye is becoming very close buddies with the extremist Arabs such as Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah etc. It is ironic to see Syria publishing maps that shows Hatay inside the Syrian borders (still it is happening) and yet PM Erdogan and Bashir Assad are buddies. David I think you are confused. The troops (The green hats as they were referred) that the ottomans had sent to attack the Armenians were not Kurds they were Laz from the black sea coast. (ref: Th erise and the fall of th eOttoma Empire - Lord Kinross). Some Kurds actually gave refuge, hid some Armenians and saved some orphaned babies who grew up as Muslims.
