Amir Peretz was neither a military man nor a good strategist. Having him control the one govt post that controls Israel's security was an extremely dumb move. But considering the lame actions of Kadima in Lebanon, and basically keeping the State safe overall, it's not surprising they'd place Peretz at the helm. They weakened the army a lot, much like Pelosi and her Leftist ilk try to do in the US. A govt that gives posts to people based on political considerations only, and not qualifications, is no effective govt at all. The only member I remember who was perfectly suited for the role was Yossi Sarid who was also an educator himself.

I know this site is Jewish and a lot of you will not like this, but I can see the hate against Zionism/Israël growing very fast under the European community. I think the Israëlian and the Palestinian people(read leaders) should stop acting like 4 year old kids and start acting mature for once.

Iran lets everyone vote and does not invade anyone. They clearly have the moral high ground over Israel
