Dear Rashid, I am afraid it is indeed true. I am an Eritrean by origin and I recently received the sad news that one of my close cousins is amongst the kidnapped. A few days back, this cousin of mine talked to his sister, who lives in the EU, on the phone - of course demanding $8000! He informed his sister that he and many others have been kept under severe in humane conditions for over two months, and said they were regularly beaten up so heavily that some of them died on the spot! They were made to lie down on their belly and beaten up using steel rods. So please, please stop covering up, the world needs to hear the truth so that these poor young people can be saved asap.
