first of all, teach your children not to be involved in confrontations with soldiers, or anyone with weapons for that matter. in fact, teach them to go as far away from these things and the people that are involved in such idiocy. you don't and bad things will happen. either learn from others' mistakes or go ahead and repeat them to your own peril and the sorrow of those close to you. it ain't worth it.

if you 'didnt forget' you would of had a little value to human life and we would of had peace in the M.E... the fact that you have no value for human life (or are more intrested in life after death) is why the west can not, and will never go along with your claims against israel
5. The mother is not a real muslim...
Someone who knows   (01.02.11)
if she's not seeking revenge. She is an apostate.
6. I believe you like a hole in the head
Michael ,   Canada   (01.02.11)
please, save your lies for someone else... "she taught her kids peace and not violence" that is why her kid was killed by a gun shot from soilders and a smoke gernade. because he was acting peaceful. On another note, if these people want peace then why do they insist that Israel withdraw from the west bank?? how many musliums live in Israel?? I dont get it??

pulmonary edema... there are dozens, if not hundreds of cases around the globe. i havent found one of blood poisoning. for all i understand, the edema-treatment requires immidiate and continued respiration with oxygen, heavy doses of cortisone.
8. "We want to live, not to die", and so are we, thus the fence

that has been constructed to ensure that Jewish children are not blown up by Muslim thugs coming from the towns and villages in question. Therefore, any demand for life should be addressed to the Muslim-Arab rulers who, to this day, refuse to accept our RIGHT as Jews to independent life in our historic homeland.

12. Protestor's Mother...
Nili   (01.02.11)
Anyone who is honest and who has seen these protests knows that the PA sends these kids to provoke violence. There is nothing peaceful about these protests. If given a chance they would kill and the soldiers have no choice but to protect themselves. No other country would put up with this constant stupidity. As for the mother, how about sending your kids to school and teaching them about "peace" like in not trying to kill every Jew in the world. I am fed up with this self-righteous whining--don't try to kill us and we will not have to defend ourselves--end of story.
13. My sympathy is with this mother.. but
rebecca ,   Modiin   (01.02.11)
She only wants peace on her terms, which is basically, "we want all the Jews to leave so we can have peace". Lady, even if you got your way, and we'd all leave, it is your religion and your people who do not allow you peace. Not us.
14. Jawaher and her Brother Don't Want or Need Revenge
Salma ,   Palestine   (01.02.11)
but what they really want and need is to continue the Popular Resistance In Bil'in and all over Palestine.
15. The dangers of cynicism
Sora ,   border country   (01.02.11)
Reading the responses, I can feel nothing but dismay. Saying that those who protest for their rights should cower before injustice is like saying American Blacks should not have confronted state troopers in the Deep South. That immigrants from the US--a land predicated on the necessity of civil disobedience in the face of injustice--should espouse such a view is particularly problematic. Where cynicism runs this deep, it becomes as much a part of the conflict as Islamist extremism. The result of such despair is not just the current political impasse, or the impossibility of a negotiated solution, but ultimately the social, moral, and demographic implosion of the state and the international Jewish community. While demographers anxiously track Arab birthrates, they might be advised to consider the demography of emigration rates from Israel, and the impact of continuous war on those.
16. ARE you serious Michael?
toMichael ,   Canada   (01.02.11)
The palestinians in the West bank who amount to probably half or more of Israels total population, live in the West bank. Seriously how can you come with that on here, it is so absurd. I hope you are not canadian for canada's sake.
17. Dont worry
toRebecca ,   canada   (01.02.11)
Dont worry about their religion, just worry about the iillegal settlements, and aside from stealing land illegally it also helps granting people some dignity as human beings. Freedom of speech, lets see it posted.
18. We Israelis want peace too.
noa ,   israel   (01.02.11)
We believe the government may have other agendas. However, as much as we want peace, you were not robbed of your lands. You were living here under Turkish, then British rule. You attacked Israel. You lost. Winner takes all, that's it. But in this case, the winner is giving back, something unprecedented in history.

24. lies
marcel   (01.02.11)
Truth and lies are interchangeable in arab society. Lying is telling the truth and has equal value to truth. Not only are lies told to enemies but also to one's own people as hamas does to gazans. It is a method of control and brainwashing. Today, it is wrong to do this and tomorrow it is right to do it. This keeps gazans off balance and drives them nuts. For example, hamas forbade young gazans to hang out at a cultural centre and later told them they could congregate there for no particular reason. Similarly, stabbing someone in the back with a knife is macho, striking fear in the hearts of the enemy is considered a good value. Notice how many male arabs are mustached, partly to disguise, but more to make the arab more fearsome. So it is worthless to consider what abbas says or whether he is a reliable peace partner which livni says he is. From the above, it is obvious that abbas or anyone else is unreliable, and there is no difference between truth and lies. Its more relevant to evaluate who is less unreliable. Hosni mubarak has been less unreliable or somewhat reliable in a cold peace arrangement over some 30 years. And that is reality on the ground, not shimon peres dreams that cost israeli blood and pain. Delusions are another story. And israelis are not immune to them. That peres, beilin and more recently olmert and now livni indulge in fantasies where israeli lives are lost, relates to the jews absolute fear or panic over no jews and arabs not loving them. Livni told horowitz of the Jpost that even though hezbollah severely violates the 2006 UN resolution on arms smuggling and that olmert bungled the 2006 war by restricting and interfering with the idf, she considers that the un resolution was successful and that she has nothing to regret over the 2006 war. Of course she should regret idf's lack of preparation and the swiss cheese un resolution. She sees the reality and is blind to it. Horowitz was likely muttering that this is a lame idiot talking. You have 2 idiots talking, olmert and livni. Law schools ought to add tough practical interviews on potential students and not rely simply on law school aptitude tests and grades.Olmert and livni should never have been admitted to law schools in the first place as one is a practical idiot and the other is a born crook which no ethics course could correct.
25. Sulhia, if you poison children with hatred, it will take

26. Possible answer
Vicky ,   UK   (01.03.11)
If you look at other conflicts around the world, you often find that peace-loving families lose several children. In fact, their losses are likely to be the greatest, because they are the ones who do not respond with violence, and they are the ones who put themselves at personal risk so that others can live. Gandhi believed in non-violence. He was kiled. Steve Biko believed in non-violence. He was tortured and killed. Martin Luther King believed in non-violence. He was killed. Their supporters got injured as a matter of course, and some of them died too. Jawaher Abu Rahma believed in non-violence. She was killed. She wasn't the first and sadly she won't be the last. Rather than looking suspiciously at the family, look at the people who were firing the tear gas - and the society that has brought them up to believe that they are right do this.
