if the Al-Jazeera correspondent looked like Helen Thomas, would they ask her to remove her bra even if it had 1,000 underwires?
34. remove bra by shin bet

62 years of terror cause us not trust you arabs.
36. to #21 Never heard of a false journalist?
Nick ,   Sweden   (01.12.11)
In Afghanistan in 2001, Ahmad Shah Massoud was killed by a suicide bomber posing as journalist. The male terrorist had the bomb in the camera. Nowadays, the hotest trend among human bombs are bodily cavities. Israeli PM is the most irrestistable target for a terror attack and Al Jazeera is the easiest agency to infiltrate.
37. It is common
(01.12.11)
in most Israeli events worldwide where diplomatic people are present, for the security service (whether Shin Bet or local forces) to thoroughly scan all guests - whether they are reporters or even diplomats. And let's face it...the threat is real. Reporters gain access to all areas. They create a fuss and get ushered through in most places unchecked...Thank G-d the Israelis are rude enough to enforce their security! Last year one of the Saudi princes responsible for Intelligence was injured in a suicide bomb attack by someone who came into his office to give him information. So easy. And even if the reporter was not a terrorist - how do you know that the boyfriend or other person didn't plant something in her equipment. Unfortunately proper security is a tad invasive.
38. Netanyahu is so hated all over the world
Veritas ,   USA   (01.12.11)
It would be better if every one just went naked. That way nothing can be concealed that can hurt him and he will feel secure, if that is possible! There are some people that can use the power of their mind to disable others who are a threat. Is he afraid of that? They could give him a stroke if they were inclined. Treat others the way you would like to be treated and they will have nothing to hate! He should try it.
39. Hooray !
Moshe Katsav ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.12.11)
We all get to see naked ladies and who cares about how this makes Israel look or what ammunition it gives to those who hate Israel - we get to see naked ladies and that's all that matters ! We need to turn every opportunity for positive PR events into screwed up piles of **** and that message has got through to the PM office loud and clear as well as every other government office.
40. to #36
Susan ,   Kfar Saba   (01.12.11)
I didn't know that. I stand corrected.
41. This is a problem.
Susan ,   Kfar Saba   (01.12.11)
I was in National Airport in DC some years ago when I got frisked. My underwires rang. Fortunately, at that time the person checking me understood. Now a days, the TSA would be all over me. A lot of women wear underwires. What to do?
42. Re: The Post at No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.12.11)
Needless to say, the above-referenced post is not mine. For the record, however, as obviously the talkbacker at No. 7 is not aware, there is a very good reason for applying stringent security checks to the women news "reporters" accredited to Al Jazeera -- these creatures are known to be militantly anti-Israel and very sympathetic to terrorist organizations sworn to Israel's destruction. The author of the post at no. 7 missed the point entirely. The request to the woman "reporter" from Al Jazeera had nothing to do with what is asked of men as opposed to what is asked of women; it had everything to do with the fact that the women "reporters" with Al Jazeera are known to consort with terrorists. They are not so much news professionals as they are terrorist groupies. Had the Israeli officer opted to do a body cavity search, she would have been well within her rights. The name of the game here is security, and all Al Jazeera women “reporters” are suspect by association. They associate with the dregs of society – terrorist scum. The imposter missed the boat on this one. Completely. Why am I not surprised?
43. To: No. 13
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.12.11)
That's a rude and entirely inappropriate question. It has nothing to do with how attractive the Al Jazeera news "reporter" may or may not be. It has everything to do with the fact that that Al Jazeera female news "reporters" are known terrorist groupies and shills. This was done for security purposes, not to humiliate anyone. The examining officer was a woman. Did the Al Jazeera terrorist groupie have something to hide? That's the question you should be asking.
44. To: Susan at No. 21
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.12.11)
Susan, the Al Jazeera female "press corps" are known to be viciously anti-Israel and supporting of terrorists. Some of their "from the field" reporting in Bilin, for example, have been nothing but inflammatory lies and deliberate misrepresentations. They are terrorist groupies. Some of them are particularly enamored of the very worst of Israel's heroes, such as Kuntar. The absolute hero worship in their interviews of terrorist scum is palpable, and disgusting. We cannot know what they might or might not do -- they are not real journalists to begin with; none of them has ever been within ten feet of a journalism school. They are hired for their looks and for their ability to spout anti-Israel venom pretty much at will.
45. Re: My post at No. 44
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.12.11)
Six lines down, for "heroes," please read "enemies." I was thinking faster than I can type. "Hero" comes a few words later. Apologies to all.
46. yup!

split ,   US   (01.12.11)
Another case of paranoia based on one incident in the past involving a Muslim - In regard to my question was it upon your arrival to Israel at BG Airport to be precise ? Why is it inappropriate to ask you when you were ask to remove anything and it's appropriate to require to do that from others ? ,...
48. Simply bad Journalism!!!
Shai ,   New York   (01.12.11)
You are so eager to report what you define as "news", and you choose to post a "Mishap" on standard Shin-Bet procedure. By doing this you make ISRAEL look bad, and for no reason at all! Yet again, an Israeli newspaper and media, exercises bad Journalism!!!
49. welcome in Israel
carla ,   milano italia   (01.12.11)
tthe same worst treatment has been reserved to my daughter on her arrival at Ben Gurion airport, she is a student sent in Israel fm her university for reasearch matter she was hold for six hours stripped of her underwear , interrogated, scared .... Israel has the right to take whatever safety measures he think to be fit but is wrong the way he carried out them ..... you can do your best in terms of security without humiliate people I grew up my daughter teaching her respect and tolerance.....in five hours you ruined my job of 26 year
50. 48 - By doing this you make ISRAEL look bad,
split ,   US   (01.12.11)
So, it's not the politicians and their overzealous screw-ups at the door that create those "mishaps" but those that pointing them out ? ,...
51. Whats All The Uproar About
Brazen   (01.12.11)
