Any aid program in Kenya that involves the Kenyan government in any way whatsoever results in the funds vanishing to unknown places, and the vulnerable people no better off. I've visited Lake Victoria. The locals there have no future. They've already given up, knowing nothing will ever come to them.

rain - lots of rain. And an end to pumping - which is fast approaching. But that will mean Israel will have to pump less to Jordan. (Israel already pumps more than required by treaty.) As to Israel's rivers, they are improving as dumping is reduced, and will improve further as Palestinian villages hook up to a proper sewage system.

6. Saving lakes.

Why save a lake in Kenya? Let Obama save his own lake. Why isn't the Israeli government putting this money to good use and start looking for the water under the desert floor--to which there is plenty. Why not invest here in Israel to help ease the poverty situation that is looming in our faces? I am tired of hearing of saving Ethiopia, Kenya, Haiti, Gaza, while all the while taxing our brains out.

It is well known that it was the intro of Nilus (Nile perch) that wiped out many of the lakes other fish species. But the Nile perch is still considered a boon to the area. And what contamination? The article mentioned contamination three times without saying what it was.
12. Excellent News - also response to #5
John DeLancy ,   Alaska, USA   (02.03.11)
This is excellent news. The Scriptures remind us that the one who waters other will be watered in return. G-d will give His chosen people water, way more than they are enabling others to have. As He has done since His people returned to His promised land, He will continue to make the desert bloom, often using the wonderful ingenuity with which He has graced the Jews. To Fadi #5: Did Raymond say something that set you off, or are your people simply ticking time bombs that go off at random? Unlike yours, Raymond's post contained no rancor. Also, his advice seems sound. Is there something about his advice to which you take exception? If so, what was it and why not discuss it rationally?
13. to #6. The reason why ...
John DeLancy ,   Alaska, USA   (02.03.11)
... is in Proverbs 11:25. A liberal soul [soul of blessing] is made fat, And he that watereth others is also watered. Through Abraham, and therefore through his seed from his son Isaac(which G-d calls his only) and through his seed, Jacob/Israel, all the nations shall be blessed. Why not let Him use Jewish ingenuity to bless not only B. Hussein Obama's father's country, but also Egypt? It starts the cycle of blessing. Moreso, it continues the cycle of blessing that G-d started by giving His blessing to Abraham. The Jews will obey the Almighty; it is hard-coded in their nature. Therefore, the only thing that can stop the blessing is if the Muslims refuse help from Jews, and then it only stops for those Muslims. The Jews will still be blessed.

According to my understanding of the Nile and it's sources, mismanagement by every nation along its path has been undoing the viability of the entire system. According to a number of reports I have read. The delta is dead and getting deader by the year due high toxicity and lack of fertility. The fertility of the once rich farmland has deteriorated to the point that just about every nation along its path need to import food. This is a major factor in the Muslim Brotherhood's success. Unless the Nile's problems are overcome, the MB will flourish and take most of East Africa along with them. While the Aswan High Dam Nasser built is a huge contributer to Egypt's problems down stream, the case upstream is not quite as clear. Both the Blue and White Nile rivers have become ecological disasters. Lake Victoria seems to be in about the same shape. Contributing factors upstream are poor subsistence farming techniques, over population of productive areas leading to human and animal sewage runoff. Actually, if Israel does not help out with their absolutely brilliant technology it runs the risk of seeing the once spectacularly beautiful Lake and environs turn into a desert wasteland so polluted that it will sustain nothing at all. That means a mass human migration of incredible proportions.
