a warning from the first post-Iranian revolution president By Abolhassan Bani-Sadr: An open future for the Arab world could mean the flowering of democracy --- or resurgent dictatorship. To keep a new strongman from taking over, certain conditions must be met... After the Iranian revolution, I protested against the show trials and executions of members of the former regime, arguing that those seeking power begin by violating the rights of those who have committed various crimes, but will ultimately violate the rights of the innocent. The defense of the rights of all citizens must thus include the members of the old regime who are accused of crime and corruption. If the rights of these people are respected, then one can be sure that the rights of others will as well (Jewish World Review). http://www.jewishworldreview.com/0211/iran_lessons.php3 ElBaradei Gives Mubarak Ultimatum: "Resign from the leadership of the country by Friday." Interviewed by the Al-Arabiya newspaper, the former chairman of the International Atomic Energy Agency said, "We will remove Mubarak by force if he does not quit by Friday" (INN, Feb/01/11). ElBaradei’s Ultimatum to Mubarak: 48 Hours to Leave the Country: Egyptian uprising idol Mohammed ElBaradei has ordered Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to leave the country by Friday – or he will be a “dead man walking” and not just a lame-duck president. U.S. President Barack Obama dealt him (President Mubarak) a stinging slap , stating that a transition to a new government should begin “now.” In addition, he sent a senior diplomat to meet with ElBaradei (INN, 02/02/11). http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/142095 Islamic Revolution http://www.torahblogg.net/45249023

It's Israel's turn to rise up against the Nethanyahu, Shas and Lieberman regime who are responsible for destroying Israel.
5. Some disagreed with me, but
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (02.02.11)
Here we are now and Mubarak is still in power. They have referred to yesterdays march with a 250,000 number, not the million they said yesterday. Secondly, I've always felt this was the end of Mubarak, but he would not be forced to leave his own country. Now it looks as if he will stay on, hold elections, and step down by not running again. This will end with Mubarak still in power and as long as the army stands behind him...and it seems they will. It is the smart way to transfer power anyway, peacefully. He got the message, so you don't destroy your country. Time will tell whether this will truly benefit the people. We'll see who fills the power vacuum.

9. THE MESSAGE AND DEMANDS HAD BEEN HEARD.....
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (02.02.11)
......will be filed away and ignored. If the protesters just want to be heard,it's all rather pointless and they might just as well clear off home. I have a feeling that the protesters want their demands met.The army spokesman has said to the protesters: "...you are the ones capable of restoring normal life," But they don't want this 'normal life',they want a better one that isn't being ruined by a tyrannical Egyptian government.I thought that was the point of all this. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!

Mark do you really believe that Mubarak is now going to be a good little leader until Sept. and then do silently into the night? No ,the people cannot take a chance on that. Now that the cat is out of the bag they have to force him out or face an even more uncertain future.
11. #10; Phil, Yes I do, He's gone
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (02.03.11)
If Mubarak were to run for, and win a rigged election, all hell would break loose. So yes, Mubarak will leave. You know in this country, our forefathers designed the government intentionally to move slow, but allow the people to express there will every two years with elections in the House. It is a steam valve to release the pressure without violence. The Egyptian people have made their will heard, Mubarak is gone. As long as the army stands behind him, and they may be standing not behind him, because they support him, but to get the country back to some semblance of normalcy. The economy is bad enough, rioting in the streets for nine more months won't help a thing. I may be wrong, I just don't believe Mubarak is leaving until he said he would, in nine months, he will not run again, period.
