1. Why Jews can't build in a "palestinian"village?
Keren ,   IL-BR   (02.09.11)
Where is it written what belongs to whom or whom? At least we have a source detailing what belong to us. Do "palestinians"have such a source to prove their right? No! Do they have a book telling their story, their roots?Who are they ,these “palestinians”? So untill they show a source as old as ours detailing their place in this earth, who can tell what we can or can’t do wherever we want in Israel? Those running this country should internalize this elementar principle and stop destroying our homes. This is very destructive and must not happen among us !

pini   (02.10.11)
how about you apply for permits the legal way and stop all the bullshit. In america i cant just go and build a house where ever i feel like it, the israeli attitude of "i do as i like" has gotta stop.
3. Is it in area C or not?
Ralph Haglund ,   Lund, Sweden   (02.10.11)
Why does the paper not care to mention that? Area C is controlled by Israel since Oslo. Very simple.
4. Pini, Keren is wrong and you are technically right but...
Daniel ,   Formerly Israel   (02.10.11)
Building these outposts is a little different from building houses in the the U.S. or even in Israel Proper. The Settlers should not be above the law, and the bible is not a license to ignore property laws or zoning restrictions wholsale, but much of the "illegal" construction in the west bank is a direct act of self-defense. The Judean Desert and Samaria is a small patchwork of hills, and snipers perched on this hills can and do gun down not only travelers on the roads bellow but even the residents of nearby towns. For political reasons the military does not watch these hills, but for the civilians its a matter of life and death.
5. the ' bum ' VS the " mighty "
jo   (02.10.11)
the rebuilding of these outposts doesn't show the stuburness of the settlers, its only a glaring demonstration of the futility of the rule of law in Israel --- by an imcompetant govt., incompetance in its leadership as well as its judges. < Each time they destroy it, we will expand a little more > Arrogance matched by stupidity ... !
6. #2 America built by 'illegal' settlers
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (02.10.11)
By what divine right did American pioneers dare settle their land. Can we fairly refer to their descendents as illegal squatters? Pini, the illegal staus placed upon Jews who do excerise a divine right, is actually forced upon our 'democratic' government through your current leaders in the USA, ironic isn't it? Don't get me wrong, I have every admiration for those early American pioneers, and the vision that kept them driving forward. In addition, I respect early Jewish socialist movements that also had a drive to inhabit our Jewish homeland. Sadly, too many wayward Diasporan Jews try to justify their refusal to live in their proper homeland, by viciously turning on those brave Jews who do. Does that ring a personal bell?
7. Appreciation for Ynet
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (02.10.11)
I am a Jewish settler that likes to keep an open mind regarding the need to have decent relations with local Arabs. As a result, some of my comments which appear to have less then a full right wing stamp, have not appeared in more right leaning media publications. I think it is imperative to allow healthy dialogue to be aired. That also inlcudes comments from Salma & friends on the left & Sarah (A, B or C?) from the right. Although Ynet's agenda appears to be more left leaning, I find its news content to be more factually based and therefore a good source of information. Ynet, you definately 'don't' get my vote for political orientation, but you do get my appreciation for providing a good solid source of news and a healthy forum for debate!
8. Thanks for your informative comment,
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (02.10.11)
Daniel #4 and for your clear and rational explanation of where you stand, David #7. I, too, reside in a yishov in the "disputed territories". In general, I find the folks here to be proud Jews, traditionally oriented, capable (very capable) of defending themselves but I hear of no actual hatred of Arabs. We'd like to be left alone to live peacefully just as we leave Arabs alone. There's plenty of room for both of us. Of course, even better, would be to interrelate as they do in the Rahmy-Levy supermarket in Gush Etzion.
9. @4, bible is lisense for everything
Ephraim   (02.10.11)
You are completely wrong, the Tanach is license and obligation to break every single law that goes against it. A jew is committed to G-d's law first, and then human law a distant second.
