Ahmadinejad, you're next!!
62. To: No. 56
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.11.11)
That would CERTAINLY explain why so many talkbackers do not understand Salma.
63. To: Tarek at No. 24
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.11.11)
I appreciate and respect your desires but permit me to point out that at the very beginning of the Islamic revolution in Iran, Khomeini announced that he had no extreme goals .... he even surrounded himself with liberals that did not have Islamist leanings -- do you remember Bani-Sadr and Gotzbadeh? -- well, six months later, Bani-Sadr hightailed it to France and Gotzbadeh was executed, along with approximately 500 to 600 influential Iranian intellectuals who did not share the Ayatollah's religious zeal. You are clearly articulate, intelligent and educated -- which, sadly, puts you in a very small segment of the Egyptian population. Some members of the educated classes in Egypt will remain in Egypt to see what happens. Most will not, which will leave an extraordinary number of illiterate and easily-swayed people at the mercy of either the military, the Moslem Brotherhood or something far worse. And that is precisely what happened in Iran.
64. A world without thugs?
Chris   (02.11.11)
If Mr Ahmadinejad believes that the removal of the West and Israel would leave a world without thugs he is grossly mistaken! Right now Hamas is abusing, beating, raping and murdering Palestinian and Afghan MUSLIMS! In Egypt Muslims have been fighting and killing each other! What has Ahmadinejad done to address this? Nothing. Why? Because he doesn't care about Muslim people, he only cares about Muslim rule.
65. To brother Jorge
Luiz Felipe Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (02.11.11)
My words, about the Iranian arrogant dictator, are, exactly, the yours. The regime of the ayatollahs is shameful. But God is great, and, like Nazi German, the refered "leaders", in the future, will be forgotten, except as a historical trash. Saludos, hermano vecino.
66. Ahmadinejad's suppression of his people
Chris   (02.11.11)
Whether Ahmadinejad likes it or not, Iranian's are becoming Westernised. This is why he has banned Western hair styles, Western music, and now Western food! He is so fearful of his own people and their love of freedom and democracy that he's imprisoning them! Not to mention that the Iranian economy is in bad shape, because Ahmadinejad has spent the money on himself, and giving arms to terrorists.
67. To Sarah B. at No.63
getreal ,   Rockville,MD   (02.11.11)
Sarah, let's not forget Shapour Bahktiar who preceded Bani-Sadr who also ran for his life and was murdered in Paris years later when the Fatwah caught up with him. Let's hope that Salman Rushdie whose big sin was a book these thugs didn't like will some day be able to live openly without fear from these murderers.
68. Iran
robert fried ,   los angeles CA   (02.11.11)
Thanks AJ - count your time little man, change is coming to Iran soon!
69. To: Get Real @ No. 67
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.11.11)
Thank you for addressing my oversight. I agree with you about Salman Rushdie, but I don't think that day will happen, at least not in my lifetime ....
70. Biggest con since the Spanish inquisition
Will ,   Brisbane Australi   (02.11.11)
In the 13th and 14th centuries ,the time of the Inquisition, Catholic zealots roamed the lands of Europe and the middle east, slaughtering any blasphemers who dared challenge the authority of the Church. God help if the radical islamists ever get control . They will make the Inquisition look like choir practice.
71. Egypt will be like Iran soon. Maybe Egyptians deserve ..
Farah   (02.11.11)
maybe they deserve to suffer under the same Islamic regim like poor Iranians. a moderate dictator left and a much more cruel Islamist one came. who could think that even sodomizing prisoners would be halal under their fatwas? all they had to do was to call these poor Moslem protesters who protested against these thieves and evil leaders infidels. sodominzing and raping infidels is halal (acceptable) under Islamic law or at least under the Islamic law that Iraninan Islamist leaders believe in. doing any evil to these poor Iranian infidel Moslems is ok. Maybe Iranians Moslems deserved to be threated like this because like other Moslems they belive doing evil to non-Moslems is ok.
72. To Salma
Koorosh ,   Iran   (02.11.11)
You got it sooooo right, dear! The world will never see anything like this crazy moron again.
73. To Mr Goldstone
Texan   (02.11.11)
Where is Goldstone. Human wright No more Israel in Middle East . This is a treat we need Goldsone to write enquiry .., Long live Israel We United stand with you . Down with Iranian Hitler

Daz, I don't know what you believe Zionism to be but for your information, a Zionist is someone who believes that the Jews have a right to a current homeland in the land of their ancient forefathers (aka Israel). Nothing more, nothing less. How exactly do you imagine the state of Israel would survive if non of the Jews living there believed they should be able to live there?
75. #38
Non-Jew ,   England   (02.11.11)
Ben Jabo, I'm not quite so sure about that.... I know Salma is rabidly Anti-anything-vaguely-Jewish-let-alone-Israeli, but she's expressed fear of the Iranian regime before (in the context of what could happen if Hamas took over WB as well as Gaza). Maybe she's not quite as daft as she initially appears.....
76. To: Farah at No. 71
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.11.11)
I'm not quite sure I understand. In Iran, sodomizing "infidels" is halal, but homosexuality is a capital crime? I'm having a little trouble working through that one.
77. #60
Non-Jew ,   England   (02.11.11)
Well, Tom, you know that, and I know that, but apparently the world leaders are struggling to understand quite what's going on, and hence reach the same conclusion!
78. Misses the point.
Joey ,   Canada   (02.12.11)
I respect Mr. Ahmadinejad, but when he says, " protestors 'have the right to pick their own type of regime and rulers'" I think he misses the point that people all over the world are tired of 'regimes and rulers' and want a direct vote in all things in their country which affect them. I hope the people of Egypt step right over the intermediate step of having a corrupt 'representative democracy' (like we have in Canada) and set up laws which severely curtail all government power in favor of people power by direct vote.
79. to 65
Jorge el judio ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (02.12.11)
Irmao Luiz Felipe Muito obrigado Thank you for sharing my post. Saludos from Chicago Cumprimento do Chicago
80. To Farah at No.71
getreal ,   Rockville ,MD   (02.12.11)
Like Sarah,I'm a little confused. If a Male homosexual is forcibly raped and sodomized as an infidel by another Male then the rapist has done "Halal" while the unwilling Homosexual is "Guilty of A Capital Crime"?!?! Geez!
81. And he brags about his university degree?
Robert ,   NY, USA   (02.12.11)
Israel is in the Middle East and the foundation and history of Monotheism. Unless Ahmadinejad plans on going back to the Cyrus the Great days and Egypt is going to have a Pharoah and build pyramids. The death is to his brain.
82. Ahmedinejad is totally nuts
Max ,   Austria   (02.12.11)
He is the same old style dictator - he is next, or Assad, or the sheiks on the Arabian peninsular..? Whoever, this is a new era, the children of today will watch the sunset in peace without fear, baAretz and in all the Middle East. F**k off dictators, let us live in peace! :))
83. #76 Sarah
Non-Jew ,   England   (02.12.11)
Yes Sarah, I struggled with that one before now, and I can only assume the rationale is that it's OK if the perpetrating sodomite views it as a chore, to be carried out only for the sake of Allah, but not OK if he gets any enjoyment out of it!
84. Smell a dead fish!
DanR ,   Israel   (02.12.11)
There is fowl smell in Egypt affair. Looks Ahamadinijaad's hand in Mubarak's down fall! Time for Israel to be alert and on toes, Iran's next move will be Lebanon; then Jordan and then his own friend Syria! Finally Israel; probably to face a defeat and final blow for A'Nijad's and Khomeni's end. Time to watch closely and carefully. To avoid blood shed; Iranians; remove A'Nijaad and retire Khomeni send him to isolation.
85. The sewer of Iran is overflowing
jo   (02.12.11)
From his ' pigsty ' the sow of Iran has spoken. Unfortunately, the wishful prediction of Israel's demise his a pipe dream . His corpse will be eaten by worms (6 ft under) while Israel is still thriving centuries later. I would suggest that the sewer he uses for a mouth should be cleaned more often, as the spewing of " refuse " is not considered ' green ' Today, his demise is closer than he thinks, Like the Egyptian people, Iranians will act when the smell of the pig, the ayatollah, become unbearable.
86. Ahmadinejad's response to protestors
Cynthia ,   USA   (02.12.11)
Murdered and beat them in the streets. Attacked and murdered students in their dorms. Raped and tortured men and women in prison. Murdered them in acid attacks and dumped their bodies in isolated areas. Publicly executed them. Arrested and threatened their families and sentenced them to years in prison simply for opposing the staged election and seeking freedom of expression. Ahmadinejad supports the revolution in Egypt hoping to make the Egyptians his slaves. He should book his flight of exile to Syria now!
87. Congrats to the Egyptians!!!
clockwerk ,   sg   (02.12.11)
Haha. the truth will have the final say! alas mubarak and his US/israel cronies have lost! Freedom to the Egyptians! and thank you ahmadinejad for the congrats!!!!!!
88. To 78
getreal   (02.12.11)
Isn't it great that you can both enjoy the fruits of living in one of the worlds great democracies while criticizing it on a daily basis without fear of retribution . You would perhaps be more fulfilled living under the regime of Ahminadinejacket a leader you "respect" who would so appreciate his"Pal Joey's" correction that you might get off with a little torture rather than being murdered. Better stay put where you're free to preach your blather with iimpunity.
89. 87
getreal ,   rockville,md   (02.12.11)
Hey "Crockwerk" Invite you to join 78 in moving to Iran where you can thank the "great man" personally while finally tasting "reeeeal freedom" Don't think you and your "Brotherhood" cronies will be very happy when your ilk is marginalized by a true democracy which will emerge with better than ever relations with the US and Israel. What?! you're not packed yet?!
90. Joyey, would you please explain what...
(02.12.11)
makes you "respect" Mr. Ahmadinejad? The man is the GW of Iran and a total waste of time. I'm not sure I get the rest of your post either. But let's stay with the "respect" part for now.
