61. Liberation should be the root of optimism
Abraham ,   NY, USA   (02.12.11)
Egypt can choose it's own destiny now!! The entire region has been a mess for 30 years and can't get worse than it is. 80 million people have been liberated today from the rule of an evil regime and are finally at peace with themselves. If Israeli officials like mr. Mazel discourage this peaceful uprising and continue to view Mubarak as a friend, you can only expect anti-Israel sentiments to grow. Real peace requires visionaries wIth a positive outlook.
62. All will be good
Max ,   Austria   (02.12.11)
As of now, there was no real peace with Egypt. If any Egyptian would have wanted to visit Israel (why there are Jordanian tourists, but never see an Egyptian?) he would have been put into prison for interrogation by the Mubarak regime. I asked the Egyptian when I was there. That's peace?? Peace is made between people, between democracies. Ever seen a democratic country attacking another? No! So let's do our best for helping true democracy to develop in Egypt and peace will come along - I have a dream: Trains running all along from Cairo through Tel Aviv to Europe. Let's do it :)))
63. A new Iran
Mawloud Ould Daddah ,   Nouakchott,Mauritani   (02.12.11)
The new masters of Egypt are the islamist extremists and terrorists, murderers of tourists, and the new partners of new Egypt are Hamas,Hezbollah, and Iran,Tantawi is nothing other than a direct ticket to an islamist terror and subversion
64. #43 Your warnings are worthless, as they been for 100 years.

66. Israel is in no trouble.
Anon   (02.12.11)
Turkey's government is busy fighting against Turkish secular army. It's perhaps the only example of a government fighting against its own country's army. But what else would be expected from Islamist Erdogan?! In the meantime, business goes as usual with Turkey, even better actually as Turkish-Israeli trade increased 30% recently. Erdogan screams against Israel to cheat its Islamists voters. If Israel pays him enough, he would do anything for Israel. Iran is also similar, they simply scream against Israel to get support at home and in the Middle East. Egyptian army is in control in Egypt, and Egyptian youth are not really dreaming a Muslim Brotherhood jihad. Israel is fine, absolutely fine. Islamists only bark, they cannot dare to bite Israel.
67. Didn't Mazel destroy a sculpture in Stockholm?
Avi ,   Israel   (02.12.11)
A great envoy for Israel... the same with his comments here.
68. Israel in trouble?, you're Nuts !
jo   (02.12.11)
We are reading today the ' wisdom ' of 66 world experts (so far). The wealth of their combined knowledge, information, prediction is mind boggling. May I humbly suggest that the stupid leaders of America, the EU, and the rest of the not so smart world, reeve up their jet engines, and fly immediately to the land of know it all.Israel Once there they will learn from these 66 geniuses what they have done wrong, and try to find out the make and type of chrystal ball they are using, the brand and flavor of the tea leaves they are drinking, or the 'pot' they are smoking, in order to reach this unanimous conclusion < how to save the world according to Ynet > Maybe only Egypt ?

Just hold your doomsday horses and mind your own murky businesses wherever you are roaming around. I genuinely think you should first and foremost worry about yourselves and your disfunctional (A) countries and then speak and utter your words of immense wisdom. For your information, Israel will always manage herself without your precious piece of advice.

His wife most probably left him for another man, he has no friends, tho he is loaded with $ as all he's got is work, work, work. Not only does he kick Jews, he kicks dogs & cats too. Poor lonely frustrated Al.
71. Thank you no. 30
Paul ,   Israel   (02.12.11)
While all this time you have been whining about how your struggle has been because of Israeli occupation in the West Bank, all along it has been a ruse to curry sympathy from the world, while in fact, what you have exposed here is your true agenda:"uproot Israel". To all you bleeding heart pseudo Leftists who have formed an unholy alliance with radical fundamentalist Islam, I suggest you wake up and identify your bed partner for what he is. I suppose I expected some gloating after Mubarak stepped down, but things are far from settled, and as you Palestinians have seen in the past, when push comes to shove, none of your so-called "allies" really step up to the plate. They would rather leave you to rot. It has been like this since 1948. You think a military regime in Egypt will change that? Think again.
72. NO NEED TO WORRY !.
Orao. ,   Srbia.   (02.12.11)
EGYPT WILL NEVER TURN TO RADICAL/SHIA - ISLAM !. The Muslim Brotherhood is an SUNNI Islamic Movment - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_Brotherhood -if they come to Power, they will Likely stand on the same side as Saudi-Arabia. According to Daniel Chapter 11:21 - and further, we can se Egyot in Opposition to Libya - Ethiopia - IRAK/The King of The NORTH/The Shia-Islamic AL-MAHDI. One can wonder why IRAN is not Recorded in this Prophesy, as if Iran does not play an Important Role in the Mideast ? Has something happened to Iran, has She been Crippled in some Way ? Orao.Srbia.
73. Israel is NOT in trouble
Egyptian protester ,   Cairo, Egypt   (02.12.11)
No one in Egyot want to cancel the peace traty with Israel, 90% of the protesters are liberal, moderate, well educated youth. No one wants a religious dictatorship, and the muslim brotherhood are not populer or strong as you might thought. We want Egypt to be a democratic, modern state. WE WANT NO MORE WARS. WE WANT PROSPERITY & PEACE.
74. He is Right

76. ACTUAL SITUATION
David ,   Raanana, Israel   (02.12.11)
So far, Israel should only follow the situation in Egypt very close (wiht army, mossad, diplomacy, etc...). The only thing that can be said now is that NO problem yet. Egypt army wont be against Israel. Democracy in Egypt can be good depending which party will run administration, because not all arabs are JEW Haters and WAR lovers (like not all jews are intellectual and cultural people). So, please, stop making silly comments, and just trust in Israel's security and defense, and do you really think an arab country will decide to bomb israel???Come on...they now that if they do that is their last military operation ever. Shabat Shalom...or have a nice weekend if u r not jew.
77. EVERYONE, READ #46 (it's funny!)
(02.12.11)
78. Israel in trouble? No, it's the Arabs who are in trouble.
Al Levy ,   good4one2@yahoo.com   (02.12.11)
It certainly looks like the Arabs are going to be beating each other up for the next several years. Nobody knows what is going to happen in Egypt, or Tunisia for that matter. The Arabs remain as un-united as ever, and totally incapable of forming a stable democracy. From Morocco to Iraq the signals are clear = there is no Arab unity and in fact the Arabs are going through another upheaval that will result in a change of dictators, not a change to democracy.
79. Good Governance and Ecomomic Expansion for Egypt

81. #74 The facts about the 2006 war
Mickey ,   Sydney Australia   (02.12.11)
......When the United Nations wanted to impose a 48-hour ceasefire, it was Hezbollah which rushed to accept while Israel had to be pressured. Obviously this was because Israel had the military momentum in her favor. ......Israel pushed Hezbollah well away from the Lebanese-Israel border.Israel lost 116 soldiers while five to six hundred Hezbollah members were killed and nearly all of their bases, headquarters and tactical infrastructure were destroyed. Additionally, Israel took over every single village in southern Lebanon.During the conflict, Hezbollah said it would never agree to allow either the Lebanese army nor international monitors to patrol southern Lebanon. ....Even after the cease fire, Israel stayed in Lebanon for two more months in order to destroy all remaining Hezbollah outposts and bunkers while Hezbollah stood by and did nothing. During the conflict some of the Israel/Lebanon border fence was destroyed and torrn down, and Israel was in no rush to fix it, since what`s the point? Hezbollah will not want to mess with the IDF again! ...not too long ago, nearly all television and print media images coming out of southern Lebanon were that of armed Hezbollah fighters with their guns, outposts, and banners. Not anymore! Hezbollah is now hiding under rocks in Southern Lebanon and Nasrallah is no longer enjoying frequent visits to central Beirut, giving daily "Hate Israel" speeches,Nasrallah even admitted that had he known that even one percent of this war would have gone as it had, he would have NEVER kidnapped the soldiers and thus started the war! "We did not think, even 1 percent, that the capture would lead to a war at this time and of this magnitude. You ask me, if I had known on July 11 ... that the operation would lead to such a war, would I do it? I say no, absolutely not.? - Hezbollah Leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, August 27, 2006 ......After the war some Arab Governments claimed Hezbollah achieved a divine victory but lets not forget, that some of those Arab governments "STILL" until today claim that the Syria and Egypt won the 1967 War and the 1973 War. ...No one disputes the fact that Hizbullah started the fight," said a writer for Ya Libnan. ..... "The cease-fire acted as a life jacket for the organization [at the end of the Second Lebanon War]," a Hizbullah officer said in an interview aired by Channel 10 ...The officer shown on Channel 10 said the organization`s gunmen had been running low on food and water and facing rapidly diminishing arms supplies. ....The officer also said that many Hizbullah commanders were ordered to hide before the war started, and that the gunmen who remained were forced to fire Katyusha rockets from inside urban populations because of the IDF`s efficiency in destroying launchers minutes after a launch had been detected.

moishe   (02.12.11)
its only a matter of time when the new regime cannot deliver on their promises fast enough that they will introduce anti Israel and America propaganda to turn away attention from existing problems! ME people are not like Germans or Japanese that had good leaders and determined citizens post WWII! thats a fact! democracy is leaders and people. perhaps, people deserve the government they have!

89. I can't believe the envoy said,
Persian CAT   (02.12.11)
"As long as we had Mubarak, there was no void in our relations with the region..."! He must be tone deaf for thinking this way. There are nothing but big "voids" in Israel relations with everyone around it. Until Israel abandons its policy of occupation and Apartheid in the ME, voids that are widening day after day threatening everyone's security will not disappear. Israel is not doing its part to create peace and stability therefore at the end of the day it will pay the price for its wrongheaded policies. The choice is yours.
