1. Abu Obama has a plan for Israel.

2. Possible Second Revolution in Egypt?
emanon ,   USA   (02.11.11)
For now, we are hearing that the military took pains to exclude the Muslim Brotherhood, and their various other names, as much as possible. Lets accept that at face value but let's also pose another "what if"? What if the MB, or other faction, decided that if the revolution could overthrow Mubarak, why couldn't they stage another revolution and seize control of the military AND the government to create another Islamic theocracy, just like Iran or Afganistan?
3. It is the sad truth what he is saying, however
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (02.11.11)
how do you go against a million protesters and the wishes of 70 million people. If the US wants any leverage with the Egyptian people they had to support the 70 Million people because like I said before Mubarak was done. Now the million dollar question is how long will the military control Egypt and who will be the next guy.
4. ????
DOV ,   USA   (02.12.11)
I don't get it. Mubarak is a General in the army so what has changed its still the military running the show. Does anyone really believe that things will be better?
5. #3, why didn't the US support Iranian protesters?
Jake ,   USA   (02.12.11)
Because we have evil scum running our country, thats why.

Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (02.12.11)
That will probably be one of the biggest mistakes of Obama's presidency, however we all know that the Ayatollah's would of said that the protesters where foreign agents trying to disrupt the Islamic system and would of probably cracked down even more but I do believe it was a missed opportunity by the west to assist in the changing or altering the behavior of the Ayatollahs. The bottom line is regardless of how much pressure you put on a government to change the people are the ultimate game changers.
9. Mubarak slams USA
Spencer ,   Israel   (02.12.11)
Whether Mubarak was right or wrong, one thing he did, was raise the status of Egypt and he also kept the peace between Israel and his Country. It's clear from what has happened since the begining of the Egyptian revolution that Barak HUSSEIN OBama has ne compunction about stabbing a friend in the back. Israel needs to be very wary of the US President.
10. The servant always curse his old master
IRAN#1   (02.12.11)
When they are fired. It's the way things go!
11. Did you ever hear about Deocracy?
Avi Spagiari ,   Oetach Tikva, Israel   (02.12.11)
The Egyptians want free elections in which any party could run on equal terms, the one which gets a majority would get to govern the country for the next four years, and in the next elections the voters will decide if they are satisfied with how this party performed or they want somebody else running the country for the following four years. This is what the millions in Tahrir Square demanded and now they are going to get it. A very new and very radical idea, isn't it? Did you ever hear of other countries running their affairs in such a way?
12. Democracy is not for everyone!
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (02.12.11)
Now, that the radicals are free to run their own show in the country, they will start pilling up weapons and get the jihadist together. After all, this is democracy that Obama preached to them. Which in terms means civil war. And when the time is right, the radicals in Egypt will take over the country like what happened in Lebanon and Iran. Then, they will try to fight Israel like Hizbolah did. So Israel, my dear! Please get yourself ready for another war. That's what Mubarak means when he says Obama does not understand the middle east. And he's 100% correct.
13. #8, they said it anyway..
Danny   (02.12.11)
Weird, Obama didn't support the protesters in Lebanon either and was completely silent on Syria's recent crackdown.
14. #11 Certain parties can be banned like in Israel
Logic ,   Israel   (02.12.11)
Israel bans racist parties. Egypt should do the same and then the problem will be solved.

twitter and other social networking tools available to the Iranian opposite?! The US helped as much as it could. Iran is not controlled by the US the way Egypt is, therefore the US influence there is limited. Having said that, the ONLY scum here is people like you who are as dumb as a effing door knob.

The Akhvan Al Muslemin (Muslim Brotherhood) does NOT have majority support in Egypt unlike Iran, where the clergy were organized and had a recognized leader like Khomeini. Besides, the West was in collusion with him in order to block the left. This is one of the least talked about aspects of the hijacking of the Iranian Revolution by the mollahs. The Western attitude was the mullahs could be gotten rid of as soon as the leftists "problem" was solves. Well, we all know the rest of the story. Another reason why I think the Akhvan will not be able to "take over" is the Egyptians have the advantage of looking at Iran and seeing what happened there. They are not going to repeat the same mistakes as the Iranian people did. Lastly, I do believe the Akhvan will play a role in running Egypt but as part of the government, in the parliament, a role that Akhvan members have played even during Mubarak's reign of terror as "independent" parliamentary representative. Only openly as Akhvan members this time. The Iranian Revolution taught two major lessons to the rest of ME opposition movements: First, how to organize and fight tyranny. Second, how to avoid letting their movements being hijacked by the extremist. In that respect all ME freedom fighters owe the Iranians big time, and they know it.
