1. More autonomy to the Druze
Amir   (02.13.11)
We, the Druze, served in Israel's army and paid heavy price for this country. Our contribution to this country was high. However, we were rewarded with racial discrimination and bad treatment. In the future, we must look for more autonomy of the Druze community within Israel. This is our right and our obligations towards our future generations.
2. #1 Amir, "this country" is your country
Yossef   (02.13.11)
I know that there is still racism or segregation against Druzes, independently of what they brought to our society, and I regret that deeply. Maybe one day soon it will disappear and we will appreciate each others even more. This move from our government is already a nice step forward. I have an infinite respect for you Druzes, and, as an israeli, I am very grateful for your engagement in the various aspects of our social/military/political life. Living together implies duties and rights, you accomplish your duties as everyone recognizes it, and you have the right to ask for more autonomy, in the framework of our political organization (which is far from perfect, I agree). But you need, you or the heads of your communities, to be more involved in the political apparatus to defend your rights. You will find jews who share your cause, because a peaceful integration, in the respect our our differences, is a gage for a better common future. בהצלחה

Where would you guys be if Israel has not been created? You would probably live in some Arab country where you would have far less rights than in Israel. Of course, we are not perfect as a nation. However, you should keep in mind that you are quite lucky to live in Israel....
5. Druze and Circassians
Sagi   (02.13.11)
As far as I am concerned you are my equals in any and all respects. If there are those amongst us who think and act otherwise then I can only feel shame and apologize to you.

The bond between the Jewish & Druze soldiers in the IDF is commonly referred to as, "Brit Damim" - "Covenant of Blood." Dont wait for the future to "look for more autonomy" start looking now. You & your people deserve it.
