Funny thing all the charedi bashing, how many people here live with charedim or know charedim well? I'm not going to pretend that there are not things that need fixing in the Charedi religious world but we are not all one and the same just as not all people living in Tel Aviv are leftists. yes there is a small minority that riot's and causes trouble and the "charedim" hate that they do this. And yes there is a percentage that engage in "academics" all there life and don't go to work, but the majority do and many work off the books because they would be drafted otherwise so that is lost revenue for the state. Many don't do the army because it is quite simply not a environment for charedi kids who grew up in sheltered a society and anyone who claim otherwise is blind. I did the army and not nachal charedi and I was in combat too oh and I'm charedi. When they wanted to open another charedi gedud they were turned down do to it being too expensive. FYI nachal Charedi is the largest combat gedud in the army by almost %50. More and more I see my nephews friends (18-21) leaving yeshiva and getting bogrut or joining the army or working off the books because they want to choose their own way and they are all charedi kids. While the charedi make an easy target there are many non-charedi that are living off of welfare and or not working/paying taxes and not doing the army and that includes the secular and Arab sectors of society. All you Zionist Israel lovers should be wondering why we dump so much money into university education, otherwise known as places that breed and incite leftist anti Israel/idf, pro-Arab and multicultural secular agendas. Effectively destroying us from the inside out. And this includes TA, Hebrew and Beer Sheeva university where the most radical anti Israel academics can be found. At least in a kollel or yeshiva the rabbis and students will tell you how important Israel and the settling of Israel is. And about how the learning that they do goes hand in hand with the army keeping us safe, and as a secular you don't have to believe it but the charedi rabbis and student that genuinely dedicate there days to Torah they do believe it wholeheartedly. Think about that and maybe go find out for yourself before you continue bashing all of us, stop blindly believing everything the media feeds you.

Please write more Moshe. The problem may be largely due to the lack of knowledge about Charedim. For instance, I didn't know about you and your friends. Now that you have written, I see that there is hope for us together in the future, for Charedim and Hilonim together living side by side in Israel and supporting each other. I'll repeat: Please write more Moshe, give more factual information that can be verified and used to dispel myths. You have the qualities of a leader and I envision you will go far.
