Waiting the right moment to intervene on Iran's side, to repete the play of Mavi Marmara, at the moment IDF reacts. And of course Iran will be more than happy to fire some missiles , like Hizbullah , to enter the dance. Hammas tries to divert IDF in the south. Just scruting the horizon, this Erdogan, real levantine.

We are on are way to war, maybe not this year but soon.
5. HOW TO WIPE ISRAEL FROM THE MAP ?
Orao. ,   Srbia.   (02.26.11)
LIKE THIS - Iran ambassador to Syria, Ahmad Mousavi, said Iran was strengthening its geopolitical status but had no desire for war. "Iran's position in the world, considering developments in the region, is very powerful; it does not seek to wage war against anyone," he was quoted as saying by IRNA. Orao.Srbia.
6. lack of leaders
alexi   (02.26.11)
Since oslo, israel cannot find a leader who has conviction based israeli history and understanding of military necessities. Peres had no combat experience, same for olmert and livni. Barak had military training but was devoid of real israeli nationalism. Sharon had both and was a good leader until he got into legal trouble and then he was persuaded by olmert and livni to follow beilin's 2 state model which led to death and rockets. Now we have bibi who is basically a foreign affairs spokesman. He has israel's best interests at heart and has a feel for military necessities so he is better than most of the preceding cast. Except that he is unable to make his own decision-he runs to his committee of 7, he runs to barak because he was his commander yet he will not see that barak has failed in military missions since 2000 fighting terror or otherwise. He does not recognize that yaalon is far superior to barak. Now lieberman can make a decision and he does not flinch, whereas the leftist livnis, olmerts, baraks run for the hills and offer tired concessions. So if weinstein does not indict lieberman, he will win the next election in israel's most dangerous period. And they need him because no one else is up to the task. Livni does not have the courage to take go it alone decisions since the US is out of the picture on any prospective raids on middle eastern countries. Lieberman does come with some of putin's baggage but that it is part of the price of getting decisive leaders. Putin is corrupt but is decisive in his leadership and is not afraid of blood, which scares the daylights out of most of israel's leadership. Israel's next leader must not be afraid of blood. And if shalit's parents ever hope to bring shalit home alive, it will be with lieberman. Like Iran who released the hostages on the day Reagan took office, they held the hostages while pacifist carter was in office and they mocked and abused the UN. When reagan came in, they were scared to death of him and cut the deal. The same will hold true for haniyeh and zohar who are scared to death of leiberman. If weinstein signs the indictment against lieberman, he is signing shalit's death warrant.

right out my mouth, however this sis a PLOY, there's No training to be done here persay? iran is just moving Armrement right under everyones NOSES Again. 8. what syrian navy?
zionist forever   (02.26.11)
The Syrian navy is made up of about 4-5 Soviet era ships some of which took part in the 6 day war. Is Iran training to sink row boats which compared to the Iranian navy Syria's is. Iran's real motive is they probably want to open a naval and possibly air base in either Syria or Lebanon putting them in a position to launch a conventional war against Israel.
9. Israel: prepare for war
mkke caton ,   USA   (02.26.11)
Israel: prepare for war. That is the inevitable conclusion. It must be a pre-emptive war, and the last war. It must be a disproportionate, all-out attack on Sinai and Gaza. From Tunisia to Egypt, to Bahrein, Yemen, we will see nothing but fanatical Islamic states with Israel seen as the enemy to destroy. I wish I had a more optimistic view.
10. 4th round of U.N.sanctions against Iran,July 2010?
Marcel ,   Florida   (02.26.11)
No one is talking about the fourth round of sanctions against Iran by the U.N security Council back in July of 2010 which calls for the boarding and inspection of suspect ships. Not 1 Iranian ship has been inspected and this is why Iranian warships (with ease) crossed from the Red sea into the Mediterranean sea by way of the Suez canal last week. The West is weak and fearful, as is Israel (weakened by the U.S. led false peace agenda)reduced to idle, empty threats and the enemy sees this. All we have are the empty threats from the checkers player in the White House while Israeli P.M. Netanyahu hides under his desk
11. Had a great chance to sink there ships
Ken ,   Australia   (02.26.11)
This was a missed opportunity for israel to be stong and done what she should have done, sunk the iranians vessels in the mediteranian or ordered them to about face, the assyrians and the persians should never have been allowed convene in millitary terms , this is an outrage, they should have been sent directly with a message from the jewish state , that provocations get dealt with and sent back to the drawing board.then, Maybe the iranians could have learnt how to swim there next time ,we could even pay for the swimming lessons, or maybe they could go in-search of materials in africa or some where else.

14. #11; Ken, It may be that was their hope
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (02.26.11)
While the riots are going on around the Arab world, the Arab leaders are looking for a way to unite all the "Days of Rage" going on in all the countries. Then focus and redirect that anger at Israel. My guess is that is what Iran is hoping for. It may be a good thing that Israel didn't take the bait. At least for now! Time will tell whether is was the right move.
15. Barak = marshmallow fluff
A ,   Belgium   (02.26.11)
"If they were bringing rockets or weapons or explosives to Hamas or Hezbollah, we would have probably acted against them" Probably acted against them...thats wonderful. And how would you "probably" have acted...a hand slap and a nu, nu, nu? Spoken like the true wimp that you are, Ehud. I would like to believe that Liebermans response would be a bit different: "If they were bringing rockets or weapons or explosives to Hamas or Hezbollah, we WILL kick their asses so hard, they WILL wake up in the Middle Ages." Get rid of that leftist, over-blown peacock Barak before its too late!
16. So Iran's missiles can hit Israel in 45 seconds.
David ,   Hartford USA   (02.26.11)
Hellooooo? Bibi? Are you awake at the wheel? A country that has threatened to wipe you off the planet will have a naval base within spitting distance to Tel Aviv. Do you think those big navy ships will be carrying apples and saffron to Syria? Syria has just become your #1 worry, an existential worry. Hellooo? Anyone there??
17. Training disparate navy ships' crews to
seadog1946 ,   InSeasonalTransit   (02.26.11)
communicate intentions/requirements effectively while undergoing various underway evolutions (refueling, replenishment, close quarter maneuvering) has always been a boring yet necessary aspect of combined naval operations. Boring if you're a deck ape and even more so if you're observing from afar... it's like watching paint dry or grass growing.
18. Looks like it Mark frm Georgia..Soon there will be WAR..
Richard Thomas ,   U.S.A   (02.26.11)
I don't want, it,buit if it is forced upon Westerners..>>not to mention dear loving Israel you can bet your bottom $ it is a'coming...
19. Number @9...Methinks you are not aware.
Richard Thomas ,   USA   (02.26.11)
Not aware that Israel never stops being prepared. There you go fellah As some of us say: The best defence,IS A GOOD OFFENCE. And that is why Israel has/is prepared.Wouldn't you, were you in their predicament....wearing their shoes..

Jules   (02.26.11)
So sad, but you are absolutely right. When surrounded by bloodthirsty sharks, the last thing one is concerned with is the "proportionality" of the response.
21. Oh Marcel...who can dispute the words in the
Stephen ,   Albany NY   (02.26.11)
In the response...Not I,nor clear thinking persons would..I has become not so much as playing chekers, but playing "hide and seek" with the appeasment policy.. Now comes Russia..Another nail in the coffin. It is incredibly discorouging that for so long, the US sits on its hands only rhetorical shouting by Obama,a slap on the wrist, bingo the Mullahs and HAMAN-dine-jad...merrily continues laughing all the way to the bank earning more dosh for his nukes. And it isn't only BHO ,but all Eutrashians are following>. MY LEADER HAMAN-DINE-JAD
22. Exactly Mark Georgia..I bet my bottom dollar They
Stephen ,   Albany NY   (02.26.11)
They expected confronation as the silly Erdog-an 's Mavi marmara. Israel did well........Ignored it. #Don't say:At least for now. What do you mean >Time will tell...? Iran tride provoking, they LOST. When did Arabs or Islamists stopped RAGING ..
23. #14 - Mark, its all possible now
Ken ,   Australia   (02.27.11)
Thanks Mark for clearing that up, I hope your right about us, and the iranians dont get there wish. But the way this is spreading like a virus, its time to put the breaks on them, in all corners, too many missile sales, too many jihadists, hezbolah broken out of jails, murderers running free, what do think will really be the out come in 6 months from this day. I think the outcome will be the united states of bin-laden, all arab states controlled by terrorists, its looking like this anyways, israel needs to act now rather than letting the madness that is happening in front of us become an unstabilizing factor. The hand of amadinajad is in every pie, its time to put a bigger hand on his head, so that he is forced to remove his hand from the middle east.Whilst radical islam is on the move, not one thing is being done to confront it, whilst there intention is obvious , to cook judaism from one end to the other, So judaism must protect its self from the worlds greatest of all psychotics, we cant just sit idle and condone it , its not the jewish way, there evil and madness must be turned of like a tap, so that they all die of thirst.

But don't underestimate Israel. They have their eyes in the sky along with the U.S., watching what's going on. In addition they have assets on ground watching. Timing is everything. Sometimes you give people enough rope and they'll hang themselves. I agree that the only thing that's respected in the Middle East is brute force. While the people of those countries are ignorant, their leaders are not. They have spent the last 60 years controlling the media and all information flow. They know how to manipulate the masses around hate. In the end as we can see there will be war, all signs point to that. My belief is in the next war Israel will have to fight. They are getting ready and over the last 5-7 years have learned some of their weaknesses and changed. While their enemies just think they are are ready for Israel, they're not. You can have all the jets you want, but you need good pilots to fly them. So they have the toys...that are inferior and Israel has the the counter measures...plus no talent. Israel has some of the best pilots in the world. Right now Israel is in the process of putting in the latest high tech anti-missile systems for the countries defense. Israel will make it's move, but on their timetable, not the Iranian one. Who love to draw Israel into a battle right now, while their people are still in the street rioting. In 6 months they will be back in there homes, living under the new and more repressive leaders they have. My guess is they we be worse off than they were under the old regimes. Timing is everything.
