Real democracy has never been supported by the west in the M.E so why would Arabs believe in it now? Can’t control the oil so easily in real democracy. So far all we've seen are African countries having their regimes toppled. Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya are all North African geographically. Lets see what happens in geographical middle eastern countries. Riots and protests are occurring, but I have yet to see a ME government be ousted yet. Time will really tell what all of this is about, and to whose benefit it is. Too early to truly understand anything, too many conflicting narratives, and I for one can state openly, I have no idea where the wind will blow.
