The Merkava tanks were easily destroyed during the 2006 war. Since this is one of the weapons that Israel peddles on the open market, this shortcoming needed to be repaired. Does this mean that the tank is better than before? The IDF says yes. For prospective buyers, try before you buy is a good idea. Hire one Hizbollah guy with a anti-tank gun and see for yourself.
