1. anarchy=day of rage ...should be "month in jail"!
JEWBIE ,   Atlanta, USA   (03.03.11)
demonstrations yes, anarchy, trespass and destruction, no
2. #1
nva ,   jerusalem   (03.03.11)
Actually Jewbie , while i don't agree with what the protesters are doing right now i DO SUPPORT their reasons and cause. The sad and tragic thing is that what you said you disapprove of - anarchy, trespass and destruction - is exactly what the Yasaamniks did at Gilad Farms...that is a private farm, private & legal property, it wasn't "disputed land" the police had no business nor right to trespass and destroy..and use rubber bullets against those who protested??? this is terrible...our govt should be outraged, and indeed some MK's are just that... there is a problem here and it's not the settlers.
3. To # 2 Riva
Daniel Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (03.03.11)
The problem has name and surname! The problem is that some people high up like Ehud Barak and Dudu Cohen are not only not democratic but anti democratic. They share panic from the arabs and they share their hatred to Nationalists. But.....they are not eternal and they'll pay upstairs for everything they are doing. Amen!
4. The settlers are stupid enough to believe
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.03.11)
themselves!
5. #3 I wouldnt be so quick to judge them that way
Omri ,   Israel   (03.03.11)
I don't think most alternatives would have stood their ground against the overwhelming international pressure that happened lately about giving the palis the 1967 boarder.
6. Hopefully the beginning of a patriotic uprising.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.04.11)
It is time Patriotic Israel, which comprises the vast majority of Israeli Jews, ended tolerance for betrayal. Likud's Constitution clearly endorses the massive building of our ancestral Homeland as a primary goal. On this basis, Israelis elected a Likud lead patriotic coalition. Voters also decimated the leftist pro-appeasement Labor and Meretz Parties. However, Israel is getting the sick goals and conduct of a Labor/Meretz government. This is a complete betrayal of everything Likud stands for and everything Israel voted for. Hopefully this is the beginning of a patriotic uprising. Israel should never again tolerate such betrayal.
7. BIG SHOTS
ZICHRON   (03.04.11)
THESE GROYSER KNACKERS MUST QUIET DOWN BUT PARTICULARLY WHEN THERE IS VIOLENCE AGAINST THE HUMAN RIGHTS DEMOCRATIC JEWISH VALUES THAT HAVE EVOLVED SINCE THE PIKUACH NEFESH AND TIKUN OLAM PRINCIPLES . IF THERE IS TO BE ONE STATE FOR TWO PEOPLES VIOLENCE CREATES ILL WILL AND A ONE STATE WILL REQUIRE HUGE DETRIBALIZATION OF THE CONFLICT.
8. Settler troublemakers
David ,   Israel   (03.04.11)
They are no better then any other extremists. They are scum.
9. Who coined days .. Rage
Straightasthegate ,   Alaska where else   (03.04.11)
It was Bernadine Dorn and bill de ayres of the weathermen faction of sds in 1969 in Chicago. They were and are masuganah. So why adopt this name. It is being used by the rebellious Lybians. What, are the prospers Libyan now?
10. The people were shot at ILLEGALLY close distances and barack
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (03.04.11)
and bibi are just fine with that, some Jews they are. Bibi has shaking knees and bows before obumma and barak is no better than olmert, just give the arabs whatever they want and hope to be the last Jews killed. Gilliad Farm is private property and the government just illegally destroyed legal homes, including the home of a soldier defending his country. Now how do you get young men to serve when you destroy their homes?
11. #7
Ralph Levy ,   USA   (03.04.11)
I am not for one state for two peoples most people right of center are not but going back to the 67 borders 9 mile wide borders loosing Jewish holy sites and having a third Palestinian state created when Israel has a legal right Eugene Rostow to the West Bank is stupid. The more Israeli leaders cave in the more I believe they are corrupt politicians.
12. No One is Above the Law
Zichron Ya'akov   (03.04.11)
I whole heartadly support our police force and reject completely not only the arrogant and violent mindset of the settlers, but also their absurd, close- minded and archaic approach to the issue of holding on to land.
13. Do you know how many small children
David ,   On this planet   (03.04.11)
can be fed with the money you have wasted to tear up a shack. The ones in power should ask Was it worth it ???
14. #12 Zichon. Modernize yourself then
Yosef ,   Boca   (03.04.11)
If attachment to the land is absurd archaic and close minded why dont you do everybody a favor and modernize yourself to the extent that you will not e attached to any land. No I am not asking you to drop dead so your true self (neshama) goes to Shmayim though that will be a good thing. Go live under the sea or in the sky please btw I am being sarcastic but pick your words wisely next time. Love Yosef
15. Jews from the Yishuvs across Shomrun
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (03.04.11)
and Yehuda are the backbone of this nation.
16. Settlers protest as PM moves further
DT ,   TA Israel   (03.04.11)
to the left though I am not sure that the Settlers help their cause by taking it out on the Israeli public
17. LET'S START A REVOLUTION
Daniel Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (03.04.11)
Like in Egypt or Lybia. It is time to impose our values and our morals. Judaism values. This is a jewish state and we should live under jewish laws. If the seculars agree, it is ok, if don' t, they can find a good place in the diaspora, I am sure. Good ridance.
18. #12 above the law
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.04.11)
In Israel, there are lots of people who are above the law. There are tens of thousands of illegally built houses, most on stolen land, in the Arab sector and no one cares. People harbor illegal aliens and assist them in violating the terms of their visas and they are not punished. Tens of Jewish anarchists go every week to violent riots were they damage property and attack policemen and they are not punished. Yoav Galant and Benny Gantz stole public land and were not punished. Ariel Sharon and his sons accepted bribes in the "Greek Island" affair and were not punished. Yossi Beilin met terrorist organizations and was not punished.
19. A bunch of wild gangsters that believe
Dyslexic............ ,   Israel........   (03.04.11)
only in violence. They have no respect for the law of our country. I say put them in jail. These kids are violent.
20. to #13
Paul ,   I   (03.04.11)
Do YOU know how many children can be fed with the money saved from the army having to provide security for you selfish, crazed settlers 24/7, when set up an isolated settlement every place where Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph or Moses ever spat on the ground? Is THAT worth it?
21. Bad Jews and Bad Israeli's
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (03.04.11)
No other definition serves justly here. Their behavior defines them as outlaws, renegades and simply, selfish. You people give Israel a bad name, and dirty the image of good Jews. You embarrass yourselves. You embarrass Israel!
22. even Jews have their scum -- settlers.
jo   (03.04.11)
Once more, our not so glorious cops have shown what a disorganised law and order outfit can or cannot do; little, late. and not forceful. Allowing these damn settlers to set the agenda -- rocks, Fire, disruption, fifgts. ( they must be teaching the arabs the 'how to). Then the police respond after the facts / damage. Thet arrest a few, later release them ,same day ? It's a joke. Anarchy is the path Israel is allowing these thugs, calling themselves Jews to run amok. When are the leaders and perpetrators pay for the enormous damage they are creating and spend 6 to 12 months in jail --- double the time for the second offense.
23. To #14
Zichron Ya'akov   (03.04.11)
In some of the examples that you enumerate I agree with you, however, two wrong don't make a right!
24. Maybe, next time, e barak, the master strategist will think
Trumpeldor   (03.04.11)
before harassing true patriots in the middle of the night.
25. Patriots? No 24.
Paul ,   Israel   (03.04.11)
True patriots? Think again! Firstly, who gave them the monopoly on Zionism? I have lived all my life a Zionist, making aliyah nearly 30 years ago, volunteered for the army - infantry, and never missed a day of reserve duty. Helped found a kibbutz and worked in a World Zionist Youth Movement. I refuse to accept that what they do be defined as Zionism or patriotism. You tell me these thugs are true Patriots? Bullshit! Secondly, they are a subversive cancer draining the country's resources needlessly by forcing it to protect them in isolated outposts where 3 or 4 families irresponsibly choose to live, thereby flouting the country's laws and courts, and abusing political clout to appropriate funds for building - funds best spent somewhere else where its effects will last a lot longer. Then they cause irreparable damage to Israel's image in the world, while she needs international support and American funding, by building illegal settlements or burning olive groves. They cause needless provocation with the Palestinians and give them justification for hating us even more, destroying their livelihoods, making sure that we will never come to a peace agreement with them. They have no respect for the country's judicial system, and when they don't get what they want, they throw a collective tantrum like spoilt children. That is all this is, a tantrum and a further drain on the police resources, instead of letting them fight the real crime and help stop accidents. Patriots, my arse. More like a fanatical Jewish National Front.
26. Day of Rage
Larry Aberman ,   Cape Town, South Afr   (03.04.11)
The settlers get upset when the law is enforced, but they're quite happy to have the security forces guarding them and ensuring their safe existence
27. #25 hypocrite
Amihai ,   Yesha   (03.04.11)
You wrote : "I refuse to accept that what they do be defined as Zionism or patriotism" But wait ! Only one line before you wrote : "Firstly, who gave them the monopoly on Zionism?" Seem's like you're the one here trying to push your own ideas. There is a lot of different views, but we still all share the same main ideal : the jewish state. And the problem with the outpost is not really the question of legality. Most of the time, they have all the authorization, all the papers (often even more than those in tel aviv or jersualem). But it requires the signature of Barak, who refuse to do it for POLITICAL reasons. So for political reasons, too, they don't wait for this signature. You should make a visit there too. With luck, you'll see your own home from a hill. I bet that afterward you'll help the jewish resident preventing that one day rockets will be launch on you.
28. To#27
Paul ,   Israel   (03.04.11)
What I wrote is 100% consistent. There is no way that you can set up an ILLEGAL settlement, on land that by international law does not belong to Israel and has not been annexed even ( I hope it never will) and call that Zionism in order to justify your anarchy and flaunting of the law. The definition of Zionism is different to many people but how can you call what you do as Zionist if it is against the law of the Zionist State and authority? How can you undermine the sovereign authority of Israel, disregard its laws, question the authority of its courts and say "I am a Zionist"? Mr Barak, whom I also dislike, IS the authority who decides on these matters, because the WEST BANK is under MILITARY rule and he is the minister of defence. So, if he doesn't sign, you have no authority and the settlement is not legal. Don't start using the word "political" because your clandestine setting up of these illegal outposts is also political! So, who is the real hypocrite? I have had rockets launched on me and your settlements there don't stop them, so don't delude yourself and use such a weak, emotive argument. The opposite is true: your presence there wastes the military budget, both to protect you and then to evict you. All that money, just to stop you from causing mayhem. That money could be better spent protecting the legal borders of Israel and fighting terrorism without you people muddying the waters and distracting them from what is really important to Israel's survival.

If you are so attached to the land, why are you preaching from Boca? Come and live in the land you are attached to.
