It's an imperative to film a professional documentary, perhaps mini-series, about the 2nd intifada: from the "Oslo accords" to the blown up buses and restaurants. Our film industry does nothing to present our side. Most Israeli films that have won foreign awards are as anti-Israel as the foreign films. I will not spend my money on them. My suggestion is to make a good quality film, in English, about how the British treated Jews in the aftermath of the holocaust.

If Israel is so evil then why are so many Arab countries overthrowing their governments so they can have democracy just like Israel has? And is the PA really a democracy - aren't elections years overdue; or is this Islamic Hamas democracy where one person has one vote one time.

A wonderful drama and historically accurate which shows the reality of life in Israel and the Occupied Territories today. Unfortunately it does not fit in with Israeli propaganda and has annoyed those who would prefer to keep Irgun and Lehi atrocities against both British and Arabs hidden. Well done to Kosminsky for making this, it has shocked people and got many researching the Israel/Palestine story as never before.

Wonder how long it will be until the UK masses blindly accept this dribble and take to the streets to applaud Israeli children torn apart by "palestinian" terrorists? Actually, don't they sort of do it already...calling it "Palestinian human rights"? Another tired Leftist ploy of trying to equate the Holocaust, with Jews being killed for being Jewish - not for attacking anyone, with "Palestinian" terrorism where they declared war on Israel and the weapons they use target civilians. Big difference. But the story - a Brit helping arm terrorists against Israelis - is very reminiscent of actual British actions back in the 1940s, aren't they? and I can honestly say that the person who wrote it tried to use the issues surrounding Israel, to thread a narrative together where reality and make-believe are mixed together in such a way as to demonize Israel. The way Israel is portrayed is completely false and cannot be further then the truth. I noted many portrayals in this drama which were falsehoods. I shall list some of them: firstly the Israeli family depicted as the avg. Israeli family, are shown as rich people who own a villa in Ceaserea with a swimming pool. The father is shown as a foreign Jew from Manchester, and the Israeli Arabs are shown living in ramshackle housing. Israeli youths are depicted as malevolent, they laugh at the protagonist as she has an epileptic seizure. Charedim are depicted as violent, evil, and rude. There are scenes which show a Charedi yelling to an Arab woman in a Hijab and calling her a "Sharmoota", which means whore. The scenes which show this are absolutely false a Charedi woman would never do this. Charedi children are shown stoning Arabs and spitting on them, whilst Israelis stop Arabs from intefering, in reality the opposite is true. In the flashbacks to 1948, the Arab family own a dog. The writer did this to make them seem more friendly to British audiences. In reality any devout Muslim would never so much as touch a dog. It is also said that the man Muhammad wanted to offer his daughter's hand in marrige to the British officer. This too would never happen with religious Muslim people, it is forbidden in their religion. The Jewish women of the Pre State Israel are depicted as whores, willing to have sex with British soldiers to make them view Israel favourably or to find out information from soldiers. The Jews are shown revolting against the British, with the Irgun actually executing British soldiers. While this is fact, it actually did happen and is factual, the writer conveniently forgot to mention the Arab revolt against the British, that occured at the same time. This makes Jews look like trouble makers. Israeli soldiers are depicted as being ambivalent in their allegiance to Israel. The brother in the Israeli family is an ex soldier turned peace activist. The writer is trying to hint that Israeli soldiers feel that when they serve their country what they are doing is morally wrong. The family of the suicide bomber are depicted as pleasant upstanding people. Israelis are always shown in huge luxury houses, when in reality most Israelis live in apartments! Not one apartment is shown in the entire movie. Israeli soldiers drag an Arab elderly woman from her bed, and use a palestinian child as a human shield to protect them from sniper fire. The director defended this inflammatory scene saying that ONCE something like this happened. In reality Hamas actually behave like this. To use one occasion to defend a portrayal in a drama is false. For instance I once read in the newspaper that an American soldier sexually assaulted an Iraqi girl. Now if a drama came out showing American Servicemen molesting little girls, it would not only be a false portrayal but slander, and anti American propoganda. In 1948 Kibbutzes are shown to hide weapons in kindergartens. Here the writer is trying to allude to how Hamas does the same but are branded terrorists. He is therefore trying to absolve Hamas' evil, because allegedly Jews did the same. The Deir Yasin Massacre is shown, very graphically, ie Israeli soldiers men and women, mow down civilians with sten guns. However whilst this one atrocity commited by Jews is shown, the author doesn't show one of the numerous arab atrocities, such as that of the doctors at Mt. Scopus, the pogroms in Hevron, the massacres in Jaffa etc. In fact the Arabs are shown as righteous hard workers, polite and courteous.

The programme is due to be transmitted by Canal+ in France in March/April 2011. Shocking! Who knew the French were anti-Israel / Anti-semitic cheese eaters!
