Israel should have the backbone to do the same, if CNN gives biased coverage of Israel (Which it does) then BAN them from Israel. Israel should make it extremely hard for CNN and the BBC to get into Israel. They should be made to pay to get their news from true journalists - kindly note, I am not saying pro-Israel journalists. I am saying they should be made to pay to get their news from true professional journalists - not those who write biased articles. The Israeli press office really has no one to blame except their own inadequate policy regarding foreign news operations operating from within Israel. Official demands for apologies are not effective. The only correct policy is for Israel to close down the CNN bureau. The message will spread very quickly. The gurantee of free press rights applies to Israeli media and not necessarily to foreign news outlets who report with a severe anti-Israel bias. Israel is withing her right's to demand foreign press bureaus report using a common 'stylebook' or not at all. It is time the government got tough on this policy. Lodging weak protests are a waste of time and effort.

The BBC online article does the same thing, always using quotation marks in a deliberate attempt to attack the credibility of official Israeli government and/or military reports. Almost all news outlets also do not use the term "murder" to describe these events, rather they use the term "killing". For those who know the English language, there is an important distinction between murder and killing which is lost among "professional" journalists covering this story. The BBC also regularly closes its articles that in one way or another deal with settlements with the anti-Israel rhetoric of "international law". Look, it's no secret, anyone who consumes enough of the BBC's coverage of Israel can see the bias. There is clearly serious politicization over at the BBC's Israel office, and it's been this qay for quite some time.
