...this awful act was NOT perpetrated by a Palestinian? Perhaps some actual proof positive should be supplied first?
2. Why no second fence breach?
(03.14.11)
My question is: Why wasn't a second fence breach detected when the killers exited the Itamar compound after murdering the Fogel family? Perhaps it was deemed too risky, since the security patrol had already been alerted once and might become suspicious following a second alert. Could the killers have then exited by other means? It's almost impossible to conceive. Imagine: Palestinians in IDF uniforms, wearing authorized badges and speaking fluent Hebrew, leaving through one of the settlement gates. Not very likely, you'd have to admit. But maybe you should consider further that they didn't break into the settlement at all, that the gate logs might therefore provide more useful clues to the identity of the killers than any thorough rousing of all the nearby Arab villages for possible suspects. Benjamin Netanyahu is a ruthless man. In the aftermath of these brutal murders one can easily see the telltale traits of a propaganda piece whose objective seems to be to win support for Israel's settlement policies while deflecting criticism of the Israeli government for aiding the settlers.
3. Don't blame the IDF
Pam ,   USA   (03.14.11)
They work hard and often give their lives to protect you. Ask the government for better security camera protection. Don't waste time finding fault with each other. Take the necessary steps to save Jewish lives-- and save your energy for hunting the perpetrators and providing for the Fogel orphans and the other children of Itamar. Unfortunately, the Hamans of this world continue their plotting and murderous rage, but their end is coming.
4. These details should not be made public

5. The security company is at fault...not the IDF
Ari ,   Jerusalem   (03.14.11)
The article states that the security company replcaed the army some years ago. If the cameras did not reach the place where the terrorists jump the fence, that menas that another camera was required.. The security company was required in my opnion to check conciencely the place regardless of the security impose bu the IDF. The IDF could have left something missing, but after many years it was a duty of the security company to recheck all the place and IMPROVE the security mesures. Even if the IDF was there it would have been their duty to recheck all the perimeter periodically. There could be allways an improvement. I have seen in many places how these shomrim act. At the entrances of the stores or Shoping malls they are very laxed checking people. They don't look the way they should, you see them sitting at the entrance with a bored face and manytimes they dont even check. I herd a case of a younf man who was shomer at Elon Moreh and was suspended because he was caught sleeping on duty. He was caught, you can imagine how many are not catched SEcurity companies should behave just like the army in what defence and security is refered. After all they are prepared bu ex soldiers and are professionals on the field.
6. ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU GIVATI!
Rabbi Jochanan ,   Gush Chalav   (03.14.11)
At least this time they did not get also one of theirs kidnapped while sleeping in a tank or jeep or by some hand-gliders... Their level of combat spirit is null, as I could personally see MANY TIMES in the field, like when a MAJOR (!!) one evening in 1996 stopped his jeep at the Gush Etzion Junction where I was hitch-hiking, to ask for a light "while protecting me" [síc!] and asking me at the same time (I quote!): "How is it for you around here now that there is peace?" BTW: buses were blowing up all over and terror attacks did not cease, quite the contrary all over Israel: I wonder what virtual reality was he in!
7. there was no "breach"... only a "contact"...
eporue ,   europe   (03.14.11)
and this contact, it was reported, was only once... its a high, massive fence, topped with barbed wire... i find it most difficult to imagine, someone "jumps" over it... or even would climb it - how many, or how long would "contacts" then be reported ? and about leaving by other means: dont forget the killer must have been covered in blood... the blood-dripping knife was repeatedly raised...
8. at what time was the "contact" ?
eporue ,   europe   (03.14.11)
or, in case, its now two contacts, the last one when ?
9. 6+ year calm and daughter returns home at midnight

denote that something has changed outside or from within. no barrier or land expanse brings peace.
10. #6 if I have 2 put up w/GRAPHIC photos y not tell all?
Amanda ,   Jerusalem   (03.14.11)
You people always want to have it just one way...your way and only your way is right! You want to live in dangerous places and not get killed. You want to blame the army for your security breach and then you want the army to fix it! Get over yourselves and take responsibility for the decision you have made to live where you do!
11. So many loopholes in the story
Sarjoun   (03.14.11)
almost crafted to show that a ghost attacker.. "definitely" Palaestinian.. more like predetermined, and "let's build" as if you need another reason. Anyways the big war is coming
12. The evil Ehud Barak Head of IDF (ISRAEL'S DESTRUCTION FORCE)
Chaim   (03.14.11)
should be blamed for the massacre. He's the one who destroys Jewish homes and lives while leaving illegal Arab homes intact. Barak should be fired from the job immediately. WE NEED A DEFENSE MINISTER WITH A JEWISH HEART & SOUL and not a pusillanimous spineless coward.
13. #11 agreed far too many loopholes.
Peter Morris ,   New Zealand   (03.14.11)
Whoever did this knew what the outcome would be. But something unforeseen happened. The massive earthquake in Japan meant that the media impact in the western world would be muted. Given the evidence and conflicting stories it is highly unlikely a Palestinian militant committed this atrocity.
14. Observe your own tuchas- really!
Observer? ,   ISRAEL   (03.14.11)
What's up there @ Egypt? Do you belong to the Brotherhood?
15. No Blame Should Be Placed On
Brazen   (03.14.11)
ANY IDF or any other law enforcement agency. And here's why these arab COWARDS were hell bent on MURDERING any jew, the sick part of these cowadis animals is MURDERING children and BABIES. Now You Israel know the true face of your future neighboors.
16. Why no second alarm?
Jim ,   Seattle, USA   (03.15.11)
"The area has many animals and shrubs that come in contact with the fence," Yisraeli explained. "In this case the fence wasn't cut, but skipped over. That is why the patrolman scanned the site and moved on after deducing there was a false alarm." My question is: why wasn't there a second alarm given after the terrorists killed members of the Fogel family and left the compound? That's what's suspicious about these killings. How did the killers leave the compound without alerting security a second time?
